The research investigated definition, scope and feature of digital contents in order to discuss legal protection of digital contents. The protection law and current trend of protection of digital contents in United States of America, EU and Japan were examined. As the law which protects digital contents in Korea. the contents and characteristics, etc. of copyright act of Korea and online digital contents industry development act were examined and analyzed. And then relationship of digital contents and copyright, namely, the relationship of database and copyright, relationship of digital contents by translation. arrangement, alteration, dramatization, cinematization, etc. of an original work and copyright; relationship of other digital contents and copyright; relationship of file sharing of digital contents and copyright, were examined and copyright issues were discussed in library. And also the research suggested concretely necessary countermeasure of copyright which the library must take. Finally, this paper suggested the improvement direction for legal protection of digital contents we must aim ultimately.

With the start of terrestrial digital broadcast, we can view HD digital contents in TV. Also we can record, play, redistribute digital contents over the various way. Therefore the protection of Digital Contents Right became the important issue. In this paper, we implement a manager that prevents indiscriminate digital contents redistribution of the terrestrial digital broadcast contents. For protection of Digital contents Right, we use BF(Broadcast Flag) that we can control viewing or copy digital contents with.

This paper describes a article how to protect from illegal indiscriminate copy of digital broadcasting content using DRM and CCI. With the start of terrestrial / satellite digital broadcast and the preparation of Digital Cable broadcast, we can view HD digital contents through the various channel. Also we can record, play, redistribute digital contents in PVR. The protection of Digital Contents Right became of the important issue to protect CopyRight. In this paper, we propose a device to track the location of illegal reproduction and monitor illegal reproduction by testing with digital watermark in order to protect copyright of digital contents and prevent massive distribution through illegal reproduction.

In the paper, designed digital contents security module to check unlawfulness reproduction and distribution of digital contents. This paper applied Diffie-Hellman algorithm that use discrete logarithm and random number as primary for public key application to create encryption key that agree each other through communication channel between DCPS and HOST, and applied Triple DES repeat DES 3 times through 2 different encryption key that is selecting ANSI X9.17 that is key management standard, ISO 8732 and PEM(Privacy-Enhanced Mail) etc. by secondary protection for safe transmission of digital contents in transmission line. Designed security module consist of key exchange module, key derivation module and copy protection processing module. Digital contents security module that design in this thesis checks reproduction and distribution of digital contents by unauthenticated user through user certification function and digital contents encryption function, and protect digital contents transmission line.

There have been proposed various copyright protection protocols in network-based digital multimedia distribution framework. However, most of conventional copyright protection protocols are focused on the stability of copyright information embedding/extracting and the access control to data suitable for user's authority but overlooked the privacy of copyright owner and user in authentication process of copyright and access information. In this paper, we propose a solution that builds a privacy-preserving proof of copyright ownership of digital contents in conjunction with keyword search scheme. The appeal of our proposal is three-fold: (1) content providers maintain stable copyright ownership in the distribution of digital contents; (2) the proof process of digital contents ownership is very secure in the view of preserving privacy; (3) the proposed protocol is the copyright protection protocol added by indexing process but is balanced privacy and efficiency concerns for its practical use.

Digital copyright protection is important in the protective side of effort to have leaned to in property right and it which are intelligent of an author and is very important for development of digital contents industry. It is the misgovernment that a reproduction is easy as for the digital contents. and the original and a copy have the same characteristic, and it is so, and is experiencing what is hard for protection of copyright and large quantity illegal copy and illegal distribution prevention. CDN needs a copyright protective plan about the digital contents that digital contents providers were written jointly. The paper used a non-repudiation multi-technique for copyright protection about the digital contents which were written jointly. The Non-repudiation multi-technique proved efficiency about this.

This paper describes our design of a contents distribution framework that supports transparent distribution of digital contents on the Internet as well as copyright protection of participants in the contents distribution value chain. Copyright protection must ensure that participants in the distribution channel get the royalties due to them and that purchasers use the contents according to usage rules. It must also prevent illegal draining of digital contents. To design a contents distribution framework satisfying the above requirements, we first present four digital contents distribution models. On the basis of the suggested distribution models, we designed a contract system for distribution of royalties among participants in the contents distribution channel, a license mechanism for enforcement of contents usage to purchasers, and both a packaging mechanism and a secure client system for prevention of illegal draining of digital contents.

Beyond the digital world from the analog age, the contents are very easily copied under the illegal conditions and these are rapidly distributed by the information super highway. The increase of ilegal usage and conflict in digital content market would diminish motivation of creators for their work, furthermore break down digital content market on cyberspace. Watermarking technology support to the legal users by the protection technique based chi the digital content copyright protection method(DRM). Most of previous digital watermarking have embeded to the content. In this paper, we have researched the standardization of digital rights management and developed more efficient watermark embedding method.

In undeniable digital signature scheme, the signature can not be verified without the signer's cooperation. The undeniable signature scheme can be used to computerize many applications which can not be done by a conventional digital signature scheme. In this study, we propose the undeniable digital multi-signature scheme which requires many signers and designated verifier The multi-signature can be verified only in cooperation with all signers. The proposed scheme satisfies undeniable property and it is secure against active attacks such as modification and denial of the multi-signature by signers. We also propose copyright protection method of co-authored digital contents as an application of the proposed scheme.
