Applying Ismailov and Rossi (2018), I newly construct the Korea FX uncertainty based on the density distribution of historical forecast errors. This uncertainty index properly captures the rare but significant events in the Korean currency market and provides information distinct from other uncertainty measures in recent studies. I show that 1) FX uncertainty arising from unexpected depreciation has a stronger impact on Korea-U.S. exchange rates and that 2) macro variables, such as capital flows or interest rate differentials, have predictive ability regarding Korea FX uncertainty for short horizons. These findings enable us to predict the events of sudden currency crashes and understand the Korea-U.S. exchange rate dynamics.

In this paper, we suggest and analyze a family of multi-step iterative methods which do not involve the high-order differentials of the function for solving nonlinear equations using a different type of decomposition (mainly due to Noor and Noor [15]). We also discuss the convergence of the new proposed methods. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and the performance of the new iterative method. Our results can be considered as an improvement and refinement of the previous results.

A fire should be accompanied by the heat and smoke. However, smoke is considered main cause of heavy casualties. Smoke easily spreads away from the fire area to remote space and cause mortal wound for the resident. A technical way effectively protecting the life and property from the smoke is the smoke control system of the building. Pressurized air supply system can be considered to prevent the refuge area from the smoke infiltration that evacuate residents via evacuation route for life safety. This paper is related with performance estimation and the effectiveness of the pressurized air supply system through experiments.

In this present paper, we consider four integrals and differentials containing the Gauss' hypergeometric ₂F₁(x) function in the kernels, which extend the classical Riemann-Liouville (R-L) and Erdélyi-Kober (E-K) fractional integral and differential operators. Formulas (images) for compositions of such generalized fractional integrals and differential constructions with the n-times product of the generalized modified Bessel function of the second type are established. The results are obtained in terms of the generalized Lauricella function or Srivastava-Daoust hypergeometric function. Equivalent assertions for the Riemann-Liouville (R-L) and Erdélyi-Kober (E-K) fractional integral and differential are also deduced.

This paper presents a lateral stability control for rear wheel drive (RWD) vehicles using electronic limited slip differentials (eLSD). The proposed eLSD controller is designed to increase the understeer characteristic by transferring torque from the outside to inside wheel. The proposed algorithm is devised to improve the lateral responses at the steady state and transient cornering. In the steady state response, the proposed algorithm can extend the region of linear cornering response and can increase the maximum limit of available lateral acceleration. In the transient response, the proposed controller can reduce the yaw rate overshoot by increasing the understeer characteristic. The proposed algorithm has been investigated via computer simulations. In the simulation results, the performance of the proposed controller is compared with uncontrolled cases. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the vehicle lateral stability and handling performance.

In this paper we present related-key differential attacks on the block-wise stream cipher TWOPRIME. We construct various related-key differentials of TWOPRIME and use them to show that recovering related keys of TWOPRIME can be performed with a data complexity of $2^{14}$ known plaintext blocks and a time complexity of $2^{38}$ 8-bit table lookups.

The purpose of this study was to determine the virulence structure of oat powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. avenae, Bga) populations in Poland collected in 2014 and 2015. Powdery mildew isolates were collected from 18 locations in Poland. In total, nine lines and cultivars of oat, with different mildew resistance genes, were used to assess virulence of 180 isolates. The results showed that a significant proportion of the Bga isolates found in Poland were virulent to differentials with Pm1, Pm3, Pm6, and Pm3 + Pm8 genes. In contrast Pm4, Pm5, Pm2, and Pm7 genes were classified as resistant to all pathogen isolates used in the experiment. Based on obtained results we can state that there are differences in virulence pattern and diversity parameters between sites and years, but clear trends are not deducible.

The advancement of Internet technologies has provided a new and effective way to cultivate international talents. To investigate the effect of native English teachers' online synchronous classes on Chinese primary school students' oral English improvement, an 18-month quasi-experimental study was conducted on 300 primary school students in China. The experiment and control groups were provided biweekly synchronous online classes with native and non-native English teachers. SPSS was used to conduct Paired Sample T-Tests and analyze performance differentials. The results showed that online classes taught by native English teachers perform better than non-native English teachers in three areas: vocabulary accuracy, average sentence length, and phonological intonation.

This study aims to find out the differences of community satisfaction between rural and urban residents and identify factors influence community satisfaction. The secondary data designed and surveyed by Rural Development Administration in 2018 were used in this study. The total respondents were 3,929; rural 2,780 and urban 1,149 respectively. The major findings were as follows; First, the level of community satisfaction showed satisfactory in both region, however, level of urban residents were more high than rural. Secondly, perceive safety factor(4 variables) was the most influential in both area. The variances explained were 5.2% in rural and 10.5% in urban.

Two soybean cultivars, Kwanggyo and Hwanggeum (soybean mosaic potyvirus (SMV)-resistant cultivars), that had been inoculated with a virulent strain (G-5H, 4) of soybean mosaic potyvirus produced necrotic lesions on inoculated leaves as well as on upper trifoliate leaves. Cells in the lesion area contained sparse numbers of virus particles and very few characteristic pinwheel inclusions. Although a hypersensitive-like cellular response occurred in the two resistant cultivars, this response did not prevent the virus from spreading systemically in these resistant hosts, indicating a different mechanism from the general hypersensitive reaction in relation to host resistance.
