  • Numerical techniques for the simulations of crack propagation are reviewed. This paper highlights the meshless methods as a potential method for the simulations. thus they are reviewed deeply. Especially the theoretical aspects of meshless methods are discussed. and it is shown that all meshless methods are based on the PUM and unified in GFEM even though they are originated from different sources.

  • In this paper, we develop analysis models for classification of temporal data from human subjects. The study focuses on the analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals obtained during various emotional states. We demonstrate a generally applicable method of removing EOG and EMG artifacts from EEGs based on independent component analysis (ICA). All EEG channel maps were interpolated from 10 EEG subbands. ICA methods are based on the assumptions that the signals recorded on the scalp are mixtures of signals from independent cerebral and artifactual sources, that potentials arising from different parts of the brain, scalp and body are summed linearly at the electrodes and that prop...

  • A unique ensemble of datasets is available for the AKARI North Ecliptic Pole (NEP) field, having being observed virtually across the whole electromagnetic spectrum. We have undertaken a study of radio sources in the NEP field and in particular radio-loud AGN. We present preliminary results concerning the identification of these radio-loud AGN using a host of different selection criteria. We aim to study the host galaxies of these systems within the current framework of galaxy evolution and the role that AGN play in it.

  • The sound absorption coefficient of glass wool (bulk density of 48 kg/$m^3$ and 32 kg/$m^3$) was measured by reverberation room method as varying their cross-sectional area. The results show that the absorption is larger for smaller samples because of edge effect. The absorption coefficient with two different kinds of sources, 1/3-octave band and white noise, gives similar values.

  • This paper aims to describe the importance of data, data collection methods, parameters to estimate the potential of wave energy and environmental impacts. The technical and economical status in wave energy conversion is outlined. Power and energy efficiency relationships are discussed. Many different types of wave-energy converters have been detailed. The progress in wave energy conversion in Malaysia is reviewed.

  • Particulate matter smaller than $10{\mu}textrm{m}$ in aerodynamic diameter (PM10) is known as thoracic particles that are capable of reaching the thoracic region of humans. PM10 is further divided into two size ranges, which are fine particles (nuclei mode plus accumulation mode) and coarse particles, based on different sources and chemical composition. Fine particles can penetrate deep into the alveolar region of the human lungs, while coarse particles be deposited in the upper respiratory system. (omitted)

  • Conducted noise in power line contains both the common mode(CM) and differential mode(DM) noise. These two modes of noise are caused by different noise sources and paths. Therefore, CM/DM noise must be deal with individually in EMI filter. In this paper the technique to separate power line noise is presented, which can be used to measure both the CM and the DM noise from total generated noise. Also, noise-separator is designed and experimental results showed 30 dB above of separation performance in 10 kHz~10 MHz.

  • Data fusion is defined as the process of combining data and information from different sources for the effectiveness of the usage of useful information contents. In this paper, we propose a data fusion algorithm using k-means clustering method for data enrichment to improve data quality in knowledge discovery in database(KDD) process. An empirical study was conducted to compare the proposed data fusion technique with the existing techniques and shows that the newly proposed clustering data fusion technique has low MSE in continuous fusion variables.

  • The power outputs of renewable energy such as wind turbines and solar energy powers depend on natural sources. Accordingly, the power outputs of renewable energy is different from capacity rate at the time of peak load. Because of this gap, long term electricity power plan can have over-estimated reserve margin. So, this paper suggests the chronological approach to calculate the reliability assessment of renewable energy.

  • Gelatin is a high molecular weight polypeptide derived fro mcollgen, theprimary protein component of animal connective tissues, which include bone, skin and tendon. Gelatin is usually produced from two different sources of raw materials (skins or bones) which are processed in two ways(line or acid). According to this pretreatment, gelatin can be divided into elatin type A(acid) and B(lime). The market is essentially driven by thre demand sectors: food, harmaceuticals(capsules) and photography. Although there is some potential threat in the photography sector, the oher tow sectors are well placed for futher growth.
