The Effect of Different Elastic Tape Expansibilities on the Onset Time of Muscle Contraction during Neck Extension for Forward Head Posture Syndrome (목 폄 시 탄력성 테이프의 신장력 차이가 전방머리자세 증후군의 근수축 개시시간에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: Thisstudy aimed to identify the effect of varying the expansibility of elastic tape on the onset time of muscle contraction during neck extension for forward head posture syndrome. Methods: Forty-five young adults with forward head posture syndrome volunteered to participate and were randomly assigned to one of three groups according to the expansibility of the elastic tape (25%, 50%, 75%). The onset time of muscle contraction for the neck extensor during neck extension was measured using an electromyographic system (Free EMG, BTS, Italy). Multivariate analysis of variance was employed to determine the effect of different expansibilities of elastic tape on the onset time of muscle contraction during neck extension for forward head posture syndrome. When there was a statistically significant difference by MANOVA, Scheffe was used as a post-hoc test. The level of significance was set at α=0.05. Results: In the comparison of the onset time of muscle contraction of varying elastic tape expansibilities and measurement times, there was a significant difference between the groups (Lt. UT, Lt. SCM, Rt. SCM) (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the interaction between the measurement time and the group, between the measurement time (p > 0.05). Conclusion: In the neck extension, 75% of the tape extensibility in the Lt. UT and both SCM shortened the muscle contraction onset time.

  • Steel slag is produced during steel making process. Compared with the blast furnace slag, converter slag has the expansibility due to the reaction with water and free CaO. Therefore it is specified in Standard Specification for Concrete in Korea that steel slag aggregate must not be used in concrete. In this study, atomized steel slag aggregate is conducted from converter slag by the atomizing method. Atomized steel slag and conventional converter slag are same in its composite by nature in the converter but compounds of the composite become different because of different method of slag treatment. Especially atomized steel slag aggregate overcomes expansibility that is the weak point for usage. It is researched whether it has the possibility, suitability for fine aggregate in concrete. Slump and air content are measured in fresh concrete, compressive and bending strength in hardened concrete. These is compared with control concrete with washed sand.

A study on the expansibility of sound-responsive visual art contents

  • The relationship between sound and vision was experimentally confirmed by physicist Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni as early as the 18th century and formally entered into systematic research. With the development of emerging media technology, sound reactive type visual content is not limited to a single visual interaction based on the vibration of sound, and its visual content shows a diversified and scalable development trend according to different purposes in many fields. This study analyzes the development and changes of sound visual art contents from early stage to modernization, and analyzes the development characteristic of sound visual art content in different fields and scene environments influence by interactive media, new media technologies and devices by means of case analysis. Through this research, it is expected that the sound reactive type visual art content can continue to develop and extend in the existing fields, while explore the scalability of the application of sound reactive type visual art content in more fields.

Durability Characteristics of Concrete Containing Lightly Burnt MgO Powder (저온 소성한 MgO 분말을 혼입한 콘크리트의 내구 특성)

  • MgO concrete containing lightly burnt MgO powder at $850{\sim}1,000^{\circ}C$ may have a long-term expansibility characteristic. Such expansibility of MgO concrete can compensate the shrinkage at later ages since the hydration of the MgO is very slow. However, the addition of MgO delays the initial hydration of cement and increases the setting time of cement. Also, the porosity and pore-size distribution of the MgO concrete are different from OPC concrete. Therefore, in order to use MgO in practice, both mechanical and durability properties of MgO concrete should be carefully examined. In this study, durability tests on carbonation, freezing-thawing, and diffusion of chloride were carried out after 56 days of underwater curing at $20^{\circ}C$ to compare durability characteristics of 5% MgO-mixed concrete with those of OPC concrete. The results showed that MgO concrete shows a greater durability than the concrete with no MgO, because the micro structure in the MgO concrete is much denser due to its expansibility characteristic.

  • This paper is about feasibility study of positioning device using magnetic suspension system which uses only vertical magnetic forces. The proposed system has inherited advantages from contact-free system, simple structure, and high expansibility in operating range different from conventional positioning devices. In this paper, the structure and operating principle are described and the linearized magnetic force and dynamic model are obtained. With the linear control theory, the experiments are executed. finally, the experimental results are shown.

  • Basically corrugated board is composed of three layers of different basis weight and stock composition. Warp is well-known for one of the most important problems of corrugated board production. Warp is caused by difference of hygro-expansibility of linears between top and bottom. This research was performed to evaluate the effect of paper properties on the warp of corrugated board. To evaluate warp, dynamic expansion properties of paper was tested using DPM(dynamic penetration measuring system). The effects of sizing, stock composition and wet-pressing on dynamic expansion properties were also evaluated. Commercial base papers showed different dynamic expansion property depending on stock composition and papermaking operation. Sizing treatment decreased and wet-pressing increased the amount of dynamic expansion. To reduce warp of corrugated board, management of dynamic expansion of base papers should be controlled by manipulating moisture, heat and tension, using a variety of adjustments available on the corrugator.

  • According to the expansion of the E-Commerce based on Internet, the Interoperability between shopping malls and the expansibility of B2B has been needed. Also, Intelligent User Interface has been needed. The XML based Script Processor, the solution of the problem, is good for Interoperability and if a shopping mall is build by it, it is possible to do customer oriented display that an XML document is displayed with different looks by other style sheet according to customer's preference. In the proposed system, the TMP(Template Markup Language), an auto XML generation script, is defined by XML and the script processor is implemented to work on the shopping mall on the Web.

  • The HLA system architecture, prescribed in IEEE-1516, is a core fundamental technology to build a complex simulation network system which is composed of a number of individual simulation developed for different purposes. The model structure of flight simulation with expansibility and compatability was suggested in this thesis by showing how to implement HLA to a commercial flight simulation software and how the system implemented with HLA to work. In addition, it was judged whether real-time can be guaranteed implementing to a simulation system with integrity through analysis of flight information data collected by comparing real-time simulation based on HLA with commercial flight simulation.

  • Nutritional disorders are one of the most common diseases of crops and they often result in significant loss of agricultural output. Moreover, the imbalance of nutrition element not only affects plant phenotype but also threaten to the health of consumers when the concentrations above the certain threshold. A number of disease identification systems have been proposed in recent years. Either the time consuming or accuracy is difficult to meet current production management requirements. Moreover, most of the systems are hard to be extended, only detect a few kinds of common diseases with great difference. In view of the limitation of current approaches, this paper studies the effects of different trace elements on crops and establishes identification system. Specifically, we analysis and acquire eleven types of tomato nutritional disorders images. After that, we explore training and prediction effects and significances of super resolution of identification model. Then, we use pre-trained enhanced deep super-resolution network (EDSR) model to pre-processing dataset. Finally, we design and implement of diagnosis system based on deep learning. And the final results show that the average accuracy is 81.11% and the predicted time less than 0.01 second. Compared to existing methods, our solution achieves a high accuracy with much less consuming time. At the same time, the diagnosis system has good performance in expansibility and portability.

A Fundamental Study on the Characteristics of Concrete with the Substitution Ratio of the Rapidly Cooled Steel Slag (급냉제강슬래그의 대체율에 따른 콘크리트의 특성에 관한 기초적 연구)

  • When the steel slag is utilized to the concrete as the alternative fine aggregate, its use is limited as the concrete aggregate because of expansibility caused by much quantity of free CaO. So, this study is intended to examine the characteristics of the concrete which uses the rapidly cooled steel slag whose content of free CaO is sharply reduced by rapidly cooling the steel slag as the fine aggregate. Accordingly, by comparing and considering the results of the concrete slump loss test with the different substitution ratio and fine aggregate ratio of rapidly cooled steel slag, hydration by XRD and SEM analysis, compressive test by age, a length variation test and rapid chloride ion penetration test, the rapidly cooled steel slag's proper substitution ratio and the fine aggregate ratio was derived.
