  • The purpose of the study is to analyze the status and trend of less favored condition of fishing village in Korean island regions using the census of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. The less favored condition was measured as the difference in accessibility to major services and in fishery sales and resident infrastructure, applying the difference-in-difference method and propensity score matching method respectively. The result shows that access to major services has improved in island area between 2010 and 2015, implying that related policies such as the island comprehensive development project have been successful to some extent. However, some educational facilities, cultural facilities, and health facilities still have low inaccessibility and fishery sales are also significantly lower than in general area. This suggests that it is necessary to maintain related policies like the direct payment of fisheries.

  • This article deals with the problem of testing the difference of quantiles in exponential distributions. We propose Bayesian hypothesis testing procedures for the difference of two quantiles under the noninformative prior. The noninformative prior is usually improper which yields a calibration problem that makes the Bayes factor to be defined up to a multiplicative constant. So we propose the objective Bayesian hypothesis testing procedures based on the fractional Bayes factor and the intrinsic Bayes factor under the matching prior. Simulation study and a real data example are provided.

  • In this paper, we determine all repdigits, which are difference of two Pell and Pell-Lucas numbers. It is shown that the largest repdigit which is difference of two Pell numbers is 99 = 169 - 70 = P7 - P6 and the largest repdigit which is difference of two Pell-Lucas numbers is 444 = 478 - 34 = Q7 - Q4.

  • In view of Nevanlinna theory, we investigate the meromorphic solutions of q-difference differential equations and our results give the estimates about counting function and proximity function of meromorphic solutions to these equations. In addition, some interesting results are obtained for two general equations and a class of system of q-difference differential equations.

  • Estimation of the process deviation is an important problem in statistical process control, especially in the control chart, process capability analysis or measurement system analysis. In this paper we suggest the use of the Gini's mean difference for the estimation of the process deviation when we design the control limits in construction of the control charts. The efficiency of the Gini's mean difference was well explained in Nam, Lee and Jung(2000). In this paper we propose an $\overline{X}$ control chart which use the control limits based on the Gini's mean difference. In various classes of distributions, the proposed control chart shows food performance.

  • Perceptibility and acceptability are the most often used threshold units in the field of color science. The former refers to a just perceptible difference and the latter evokes a tolerable color difference. Such thresholds can be very significant to color quality control processes in the printing industry and should be defined in quality measure units. Optical density (OD) and color difference models are usually utilized as color quality measures and have been provided in a considerable number of commercial measuring devices such as spectrophotometers. However, their merits and traits are far less understood in the literature. The present study intends to evaluate performance of those color quality measures including the OD and widely known color difference models, e.g. ${\Delta}E{^*}_{ab}$, ${\Delta}E_{CMC(l:c)}$ and ${\Delta}E{^*}_{00}$. A set of psychophysical assessments were carried out in order to accumulate the perceptibility and acceptability thresholds data, and their central trend was compared with the color quality measure estimates.

  • This study was to investigate the kinematical analysis using ski simulator. Twelve people(six skilled, six unskilled) participated in the experiment. Each phase of motion time was slight differences between the skilled group and the unskilled group but not significant difference in statistics. In displacement of vertical on COG(Center of Gravity), left and right down motion showed significant difference between group. In velocity of horizontal on COG, both left and right down motion showed significant difference between group, and up motion of between down motion showed significant difference. In displacement of angle on ankle, knee, hip joint almost showed significant difference between group. Almost in body position was lower skilled group than unskilled group.

  • The study was to investigate the relationship between clothing variables (Conformity, Modesty, Importance) and environmental variables of Family (the Value Orientations of Family, the Psychological Process of Family), according to sex and region. the subjects were university students in Kyoung nam and Pusan (Male; 397-Pusan 183 and Kyoung nam 214, Female; 401-Pusan 224 and Kyoung Nam 177). Survey method was questionnaires. The data was analyzed with frequency, Pearson's Parson's Correlation, T-test, Multiple Regression using the SPSS. The results were as follows; 1. There was significant difference between clothing Variables in Young nam, but partially significant difference in Pusan. 2. There was partially significant difference between clothing Variables and Environmental Variables of family in each male & female Kyoung nam & Pusan). 3. In the T-test, between clothing Variables and Environmental Variables of family, difference between male and female was shown that female student was higher than male student all of Clothing Variables and male student was higher than female student t in the case of Environmental Variables of family, In the difference between Pusan and Kyoung Nam, male student was shown significant difference in the case of Conformity, materialism and love-Rejection, female student in the case of Modesty, Importance, materialism and Social rising. 4. In the multiple Regression analysis between clothing variables and Environmental Variables of family, clothing voriables partially were effected on the Environmental Variables of family in the cases of male and female in Pusan & Kyoung Nam.

  • This study analyzed the performance of the national fishing port development project, which lacked ex-post impact evaluation despite a lot of investment in terms of fishery income opportunities. Using micro data from the Census of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, the sales amount of fishery products and the proportion of fishery-related businesses were used as performance indicators. The fishery households in the fishing port area (treatment group) and those not in the area (control group) were classified through data pre-processing, and factors unrelated to the fishing ports were controlled using the propensity score matching difference-in-difference method. The analysis target is six fishing ports with large investment in from 2010 to 2014. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the sales of fishery products increased significantly in four of the six fishing ports, and the proportion of fishery-related businesses increased in two fishing ports. The analysis method of this study can be fully utilized in the evaluation of the Fishing Community New Deal 300 Project, which is in need of performance analysis.
