저압에서의 선형성을 향상시키기 위한 압력센서의 설계 (A Design of Pressure Sensor for Improving Linearity at Low Pressure Range)

  • 본 논문에서는 감도를 향상시키고 저압력 범위에서 다이어프램의 휨을 감소시킴으로서 선형성이 향상되도록 한 센터 보스(center boss) 다이어프램 구조를 갖는 압력센서를 설계 하였다. 설계한 센터보스형 압력센서의 최대 휨은 $0.125{\mu}m$, 최대 응력은 $2.24{\times}10^{7}\;Pa$, 최대 스트레인은 $132\;{\mu}strain$, 감도는 27.67 mV/V.psi로서 휨은 다이어프램 두께의 약 1/160, 정사각형 구조일때의 1/35로 감소하였고 감도는 정사각형 구조일때보다 19배정도 증가하였다.

  • Evaluation of diaphragm function is challenging because no single test has a high diagnostic yield. We describe ultrasound findings in three cases with acquired unilateral diaphragmatic elevation. These cases confirm that sonographic evaluation is a valid tool for identifying diaphragm dysfunction. In addition, ultrasound measurements of diaphragm thickness and the contractility can be used to determine if a diaphragm is paralyzed and suggest the duration of paralysis (i.e., acute or chronic).

SUS630 다이아프램을 이용한 반도체식 로드셀 (The Silicon Type Load Cell with SUS630 Diaphragm)

  • The load cell is a force sensor and a transducer that is used to convert a physical force into a electrical signal for weighing equipment. Most conventional load cells are widely used a metal foil strain gauge for sensing element when force being applied spring element in order to converts the deformation to electrical signals. The sensitivity of a load cell is limited by its low gauge factor, hysteresis and creep. But silicon-based sensors perform with higher reliability. This paper presents the basic design and development of the silicon type load cell with an SUS630 diaphragm. The load cell consists of two parts the silicon strain gauge and the SUS630 structure with diaphragm. Structure analysis of load cell was researched by theory to optimize the load cell diaphragm design and to determine the position of peizoresistors on a silicon strain gauge. The piezo-resistors are integrated in the four points of silicon strain gauge processed by ion implantation. The thickness of the silicon strain gauge was polished by CMP under 100 ${\mu}M$. The 10 mm diameter SUS630 diaphragm was designed for loads up to 10 kg with 300 ${\mu}M$ of diaphragm thickness. The load cell was successfully tested, the variation of ${\Delta}$R(%) of four points on the silicon strain gauge is good linearity properties and sensitivity.

콘크리트 거더 교량의 중간 격벽 영향에 관한 해석적 연구 (The Analytical Study for Effects of Intermediate Diaphragms in Concrete Girder Bridge)

  • The research was conducted to investigate the effects of intermediate diaphragm in concrete girder bridge. The analytical variables consisted of various types(reinforced concrete and steel) and locations of intermediate diaphragm, slab thickness, girder spacing etc. Finite element analyses of the bridge model assuming simply support condition. The Vertical load distribution was determined to be essentially independent of type and location of intermediate diaphragms. Also, it is found that the practical design of intermediate diaphragm may be revised.

  • The possibility of weight reduction of rotor part in gas-gas geater(GGH) is studied from the viewpoint of allowable stress. In this work, finite element analysis(FEA) is performed with original model and three weight-reduced models with different diaphragm thickness, respectively. Stress concentrations at rotor diaphragm happen due to the dead weight, pressure difference between treated gas and untreated gas and thermal distribution in the rotor. As the thickness of diaphragm is decreased, the stress level is increased. The direction of treated gas and untreated gas flow may affect the stress level. Fatigue life assessment is not considered because pressure difference, the only cyclic load, can be ignored. The possible weight-reduced model is presented.

  • Using the anisotropic etching characteristics or $N_2H_4-H_2O$ solution, Si diaphragm was fabricated for the integrated sensor. The optimal composition and temperature of the solution in Si etching process was established to be 50mol% $N_2H_4$ in water at $105{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ for both higher etch rate(=$2.6{\mu}m/min$) and better surface quality of etched {100} planes. Under the optimal etching condition, the electrochemical etch stop technique was employed to form Si diaphragm for pressure sensor and diaphragm thickness was exactly controlled to $20{\pm}2{\mu}m$.

  • This study uses a characteristic function to explain correlations between the objective function and design variables. Analysis of means and table of orthogonal array were carried out. The change of shape of diaphragm, thickness of diaphragm and voice coil weight based on the table of orthogonal array Is made. Therefore this study carried to decide design variables for minimizing 1st natural frequency and maximizing 2nd natural frequency of diaphragm using design of experiments and characteristic function with constraints. we showed improved design variables.

화력발전용 가스재열기의 응력 해석 (Stress Analysis of Gas-Gas Heater in Thermal Power Plant)

  • Today\`s industrialized plants are required to reduce SOx emitted from stacks at factories, utility power stations, etc. For this purpose, flue gas desulfurization(FGD) system is installed in thermal power plant and gas-gas heater(GGH) is used to play a vital role to reheat the wet treated gas from FGD. The sector plates are located at cold and hot sides of gas-gas heater. They serve as sealing to prevent mixing treated and untreated gases. Therefore, the deformation of the sector plate due to its dead weight and gas pressure should be considered as major factor for the sector plate design. And finite element analysis(FEA) for rotor part in GGH is performed with original model and two weight-reduced models with different diaphragm thickness, respectively. Stress concentrations at rotor diaphragm happen due to the dead weight, pressure difference between treated and untreated gas, and thermal distribution in the rotor. As the thickness of diaphragm is decreased, the stress level is increased. The direction of treated gas and untreated gas flow may affect the stress level.

Use of real-time ultrasound imaging for biofeedback of diaphragm motion during normal breathing in healthy subjects

  • Objective: To determine if the provision of visual biofeedback using real-time rehabilitative ultrasound imaging (RUSI) enhances the acquisition and retention of diaphragm muscle recruitment during exercise. Design: Two group pretest posttest design. Methods: Thirty healthy subjects were randomly assigned to the verbal feedback group (VG, n=15) or the visual and verbal feedback group (VVG, n=15). The VG performed breathing exercises 10 times with verbal feedback, and the VVG also performed breathing exercises 10 times with verbal feedback and visual feedback with the use of RUSI to measure changes in diaphragm thickness (DT). For DT, the mid-axillary lines between ribs 8 and 9 on both sides were measured in standing, and then the chest wall was perpendicularly illuminated using a linear transducer with the patients in supine to observe the region between rib 8 and 9 and to obtain 2-dimensional images. DT was measured as the distance between the two parallel lines that appeared bright in the middle of the pleura and the peritoneum. After one week, three repetitions (follow-up session) were performed to confirm retention effects. Intra- and between- group percent changes in diaphragm muscle thickness were assessed. Results: In the VVG, the intervention value had a medium effect size compared to the baseline value, but the follow-up value decreased to a small effect size. In the between-group comparisons, during the intervention session, the VVG showed no significant effect on percent change of DT but had a medium effect size compared to the VG (p=0.050, Cohen's d=0.764). During the follow-up session, retention effect did not persist (p=0.311, Cohen's d=0.381). Conclusions: RUSI can be used to provide visual biofeedback and improve performance and retention in the ability to activate the diaphragm muscle in healthy subjects. Future research needs to establish a protocol for respiratory intervention to maintain the effect of diaphragmatic breathing training using RUSI with visual feedback.

복합십자형 CFT 기둥-보 접합부의 내력식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Equations for Load Carrying Capacities of Concrete Filled tubular Square Column-to-Beam Connections with Combined Cross Diaphragm and Sleeves)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기존의 복합십자형 다이아프램을 사용한 CFT 기둥-보 인장측 접합부에 관한 연구에 이어서 접합부 각 요소의 구조적 특성을 명료하게 하는데 있다. 복합십자형 다이아프램은 기존 접합부의 하중전달 경로 및 다이아프램의 갑작스런 기하학적인 형상 변화에 대한 디테일을 개선함으로서, 보 플랜지 및 다이아프램에 응력을 고르게 분포시키고 접합부의 응력집중이 완화된 접합방식이다. 복합십자형 다이아프램을 접합부에서 중요한 요소 중 하나인 슬리브에서의 응력전달에 관하여 연구를 수행하였다. 슬리브의 두께 및 길이를 변수로 하여 해석한 결과, 슬리브의 길이 및 두께는 접합부의 내력에 큰 영향을 주지 않고 다이아프램으로부터의 하중을 콘크리트로 전달시키는 매개체의 역할을 하였다. 또한 적정 슬리브의 길이 및 두께를 각각 직경의 1배, 슬리브 직경/두께비를 20으로 제안한다. 기존의 내력식을 검토하여 메커니즘을 수정한 후 적용가능한 접합부의 극한내력식 및 항복내력식을 제안하였다.
