Switching Function using Edge-Valued Decision Diagram

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the switching function using edge-valued decision diagrams. The proposed method is as following. The edge-valued decision diagram is a new data structure type of decision diagram which is recently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. Next, we apply edge-valued decision diagram to function minimization of digital logic systems. The proposed method has the visible, schematic and regular properties.

  • 본 논문에서는 동적인 환경에서 돌발 장애물을 회피하는 방법으로 Nearness Diagram, Limit-Cycle 및 벡터장법을 혼합한 새로운 항법을 제안한다. Limit-Cycle 항법은 정면장애물을 회피 하는데 사용되고, 벡터장법은 측면장애물을 회피 하는데 이용된다. 그리고 Nearness Diagram 항법은 로봇의 근접지역장애물을 회피하는데 사용된다. 제안된 항법은 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 성능을 증명하였다.

Spurious mode distinguish by eigensystem realization algorithm with improved stabilization diagram

  • Modal parameter identification plays a key role in the structural health monitoring (SHM) for civil engineering. Eigensystem realization algorithm (ERA) is one of the most popular identification methods. However, the complex environment around civil structures can introduce the noises into the measurement from SHM system. The spurious modes would be generated due to the noises during ERA process, which are usually ignored and be recognized as physical modes. This paper proposes an improved stabilization diagram method in ERA to distinguish the spurious modes. First, it is proved that the ERA can be performed by any two Hankel matrices with one time step shift. The effect of noises on the eigenvalues of structure is illustrated when the choice of two Hankel matrices with one time step shift is different. Then, a moving data diagram is proposed to combine the traditional stabilization diagram to form the improved stabilization diagram method. The moving data diagram shows the mode variation along the different choice of Hankel matrices, which indicates whether the mode is spurious or not. The traditional stabilization diagram helps to determine the concerned truncated order before moving data diagram is implemented. Finally, the proposed method is proved through a numerical example. The results show that the proposed method can distinguish the spurious modes.

  • This paper suggests system development method with extended user participation. Context diagram, event diagram, information diagram, management diagram and interface STD are staple products. This method introduces interface STD, management diagram and context diagram with administrator as relator. We adapted to research business of professor and ATM(Automatic Teller machine), when it can be adaptable to business-oriented system.

  • 다이어그램은 직관성과 간결성을 갖는 장점이 있어 현재의 컴퓨팅 환경에서 많은 분야에 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 다이어그램 작성에 대한 표준화된 방법의 부재(不在)로 소프트웨어 상호간의 자료공유가 어렵고 다이어그램 컴포넌트와 규칙을 직접 프로그래밍 해야 하기 때문에 많은 시간과 노력을 필요로 한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 표준화된 문서규약인 XML을 이용해 다이어그램 컴포넌트의 형태와 행위를 정의하는 방법, 다이어그램의 규칙과 의미를 기술하는 방법에 대해 제안하고 제안한 XML 문서가 실행될 수 있는 다이어그램 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 논의한다. 본 다이어그램 시스템에서는 DML 그래픽 편집기를 제공하여 WYSWYG 방식으로 다이어그램 컴포넌트를 정의하고 자동으로 DML 문서를 생성할 수 있도록 함으로써 더욱 효율적으로 새로운 다이어그램을 개발할 수 있도록 하였다. 뿐만 아니라 DTD를 이용해 다이어그램에 대한 문법을 정의함으로써 문서의 구조를 정의하는 DTD에 대한 의미적 일관성을 유지하였으며 Semantic Definition XML을 이용하여 의미를 기술할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 다이어그램 시스템에서 다이어그램 문장에 대한 문법검사와 의미실행의 방법은 VPL(Visual Programming Language)의 여러 개념들을 이용하였다.

The influence of load pulse shape on pressure-impulse diagrams of one-way RC slabs

  • This study is aimed at providing an efficient analytical model to obtain pressure- impulse diagram of one-way reinforced concrete slabs subjected to different shapes of air blast loading using single degree of freedom method (SDOF). A tri-linear elastic perfectly plastic SDOF model has been used to obtain the pressure-impulse diagram to correlate the blast pressure and the corresponding concrete flexural damage. In order to capture the response history for the slab, a new approximately SDOF method based on the conventional SDOF method is proposed and validated using published test data. The influences of pulse loading shape on the pressure-impulse diagram are studied. Based on the results, a pressure-impulse diagram generation method using SDOF and an analytical equation for the pressure-impulse diagram is proposed to different damage levels and different blast loading shapes.

  • This paper presents a method of constructing the digital logic systems(DLS) using edge-valued decision diagrams(EVDD). The proposed method is as following. The EVDD is a new data structure type of decision diagram(DD) that is recently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. Next, we apply EVDD to function minimization of digital logic systems. The proposed method has the visible, schematical and regular properties.

  • The development of the frequency converter using semiconductor enables to easily control the speed of A.C. motors. It is now technically possible and economically feasible to provide them with power at variable frequency, using silicon-controlled-rectifier (or thyristor) inverters. In such a case, if an induction motor is to be operated efficiently over a wide speed range, it must be supplied from a variable-frequency source whose frequency is adjustable over a range similar to that required for the motor speed. It is desired to observe how several characteristics are changed such as primary current, torque-speed, etc. Although the characteristics could be obtained by means of the conventional method, it requires very complicated calculation. It is assumed that the charateristics above are easily investigated by means of current diagram method from variable circuit constants relating to the motor which is designed in rated frequency. In this paper, the results of the study on the current-diagram method and its application are described as follows; (1) In order to discuss the construction of current diagram, the equation of the stator current with adjustable frequency was derived for applying the Current Diagram Method. (2) The radius, the center of the current circle and current vector locus at any desired frequency could be easily determined with the aid of both above mentioned equation and the standard current diagram at reference frequency. (3) This method could be applicable to the various types of Induction Motors, and this paper has dealt with its application to the capacitor, split-phase and 2-phase types of motors.

  • 전통적으로 신뢰도 분석에 사용되는 Fault Tree Analysis의 경우 관련 분야의 전문가가 필요하고 작성자의 판단에 따라 신뢰도 분석 결과가 달라진다. 반면, Reliability Block Diagram의 경우 시스템 구성도나 Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID)을 기반으로 하기에 작성에 필요한 비용과 시간이 절감되는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Dynamic Reliability Block Diagram과 이산 사건 시뮬레이션에 널리 사용되는 DEVS 형식론을 이용하는 신뢰도 분석 방법을 제안한다. 또한 시스템 모델링 방법론 중 하나인 System Entity Structure/Model Base의 개념을 도입함으로써 다양한 설계 대안에 대한 신뢰도 분석 모델을 자동으로 생성할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 Reliability Block Diagram을 이용한 신뢰도 분석 시 오래 소요되는 계산 시간을 단축시키기 위해 GPU 가속 기술을 신뢰도 분석 시뮬레이션에 접목하였다.

S-NS 다이어그램으로 강의 만족도 개선 사례 연구 (Case Study for Improving Lecture Satisfaction using S-NS Diagram)

  • Purpose: This paper proposes S-NS diagram. S-NS diagram helps us find core factors which improve customer satisfaction. Methods: S-NS diagram draws a scatter diagram based on marks obtained from surveys consisting of several questions on satisfaction and non-satisfaction at the same time. S-NS diagram is divided into the 4 regions. We focused on region B which is High satisfaction and high non-satisfaction shown in S-NS diagram. Region B is the areas for needs to improve. Results: S-NS diagram can find few important factors which affect customer satisfaction. We improve Lecture Satisfaction using S-NS Diagram. Conclusion: S-NS diagram has been proven to be an effective method for improving customer satisfaction with a lecture satisfaction improvement example. We know S-NS diagram can use many fields including manufacture and service areas.
