Coronary artery disease (CAD) is currently a prevalent disease from which many people suffer. Early detection and treatment could reduce the risk of heart attack. Currently, the golden standard for the diagnosis of CAD is angiography, which is an invasive procedure. In this article, we propose an algorithm that uses data mining techniques, a fuzzy expert system, and the imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA), to make CAD diagnosis by a non-invasive procedure. The ICA is used to adjust the fuzzy membership functions. The proposed method has been evaluated with the Cleveland and Hungarian datasets. The advantage of this method, compared with others, is the interpretability. The accuracy of the proposed method is 94.92% by 11 rules, and the average length of 4. To compare the colonial competitive algorithm with other metaheuristic algorithms, the proposed method has been implemented with the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The results indicate that the colonial competition algorithm is more efficient than the PSO algorithm.

In this paper, aging diagnosis method of CV cable was investigated. CV cable was designed for the sake of using during 30 years. Therefore it was important to evaluate the cable's remaining life because CV cable used for power transmission line since 1970's. CV cable was mainly installed at the underground owing to the environmental condition. If the cable accident occurred, it needs the much time for the accident recovery and the much damage at the industrial activity. therefore, this paper should study the direct leakage current method, a sort of the cables' aging test method

By the increasing concern about Sasang Constitution Medicine, its practical use is considered very important in disease prevention and medical treatment. However, the method of constitution classification is depending on the doctor's clinical trials because of the lack of the objective test criteria. This study is trying to improve the objectiveness of diagnosis using a new statistical method, decision tree. Decision tree method-a classification technique in the statistical analysis- was used to analyze the result of QSCCII instead of using discriminant analysis. As a result, 16 among 121 QSCCII questions was selected as important questions and 21 terminal nodes was built to classify the constitution. Using only 16 questions shown in the result of decision tree, we can diagnose and interpret the constitution easily and effectively.

This paper proposes a demagnetization fault diagnosis method for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors(IPMSMs). In particular, a demagnetization fault is one of the most frequent electrical faults in IPMSMs. This paper proposes an estimation method for permanent magnet flux. The method is based on linear interpolation. The effectiveness of the proposed method for diagnose demagnetization faults is verified through various operating conditions by finite element simulation.

In this paper, we have evaluated the methods to generate the reference signal for the diagnosis of multi-channel signals. The channel signal integrity can be known by the difference between the reference signal and each channel value. The generation method of reference signal is important in the diagnosis of multi-channel measurement system. The continuous weighting average method rejects the abnormal signal using weighting method and makes the reference signal using sumation of all channel values. This gives the simple and reasonable reference signal. The principle component analysis, one of the multivariate analysis methods, and the neural network method give the reliable reference signal by using signal models, and learning algorithm. Two methods can make the reliable reference if all signals are normal, but any signal having the drift have an effect on the reference.

Pulse feeling is one of the most important diagnosis method in Oriental medicine. But it is not easy to make an objective and standardized diagnosis. In this study, we found how to quantify diagnosis. Specially dally the high practicality in clinic, we search some parameters especially well-related to floating and sinking pulse by statistic analysis. By extension, we find the pulse patterns of the floating and sinking pulse. We choose 15 subjects diagnosed as floating pulse and 15 subjects diagnosed as sinking pulse by oriental doctors. And their pulse signals were acquired by Pulse analyzer which has piezoresistive pressure sensor. For the quantification of the floating and sinking pulse, at first, we examined the parameters which were highly correlated with oriental doctor's diagnosis. And then we derived pulse patterns of the floating-sinking pulse from preprocessed signal and its ensemble average. We also looked trend variation (PH-Curve) between contact and pulse pressure. As a result, statistically there is the biggest difference between contact pressure, the maximum pulse pressure, diastolic area (Ad) and floating and sinking data. Through the PH-Curve, which represented the relationship between contact and pulse pressure, we could divide the floating and sinking pulse clearly. As a basic research of pulse diagnosis algorithm, we can contribute to select essential parameters in diagnosis algorithm And using these diagnosis method, we expect to find typical pulse patterns and some useful parameters about other pulses like slow/rapid, large/fine pulse and so on. We hope that this study will contribute pulse objectification.

대부분의 화학공정은 매우 크고 복잡하기 때문에 전체 공정에 대한 진단시스템을 만드는 것은 매우 어렵다. 따라서, 대형공정을 몇 개의 부공정으로 분할하여 진단하는 체계적인 방법이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 이상-결과 트리모델에 기반하여 정성적 이상진단을 위한 공정분할전략을 제안하였다. 분할기준으로 유연한 진단, 지식베이스의 크기축소, 및 복잡한 지식베이스의 일관된 구축을 사용하였다 부공정간의 인과관계를 연결하기 위해 통로변수를 도입한 다음 오프라인 분석을 통해 통로변수의 이상-결과 트리모델을 구축하였다 계분할이 없는 경우와 같은 진단결과를 얻을 수 있도록 온라인 진단전략을 수립하였다 제안된 방법의 유용성을 대형 보일러 공정에 대한 이상진단시스템을 통해 보였다.

자동차 진단을 위해서는 자동차 전자 장치인 ECU(Electronic Control Unit)로 구성된 전자 장치를 통해 다양한 통신방식을 활용하여 ECU 내 또는 ECU 간 진단 데이터를 수집하고 진단데이터를 관리하여 이뤄지고 있다. 통신 방식으로는 LIN, CAN, FlexRay 등이 주로 사용되고 있다. 최근에는 Ethernet 기반으로 유선/무선 통신을 활용하고 있다. 자동차 진단을 수행하려면 ECU에서 발생되는 진단코드를 알고 있어야 하고, 진단통신을 이용하여 진단 데이터를 수집할 수 있어야 가능하다. 또한, 자동차 진단에 필요한 응용소프트웨어가 구성되어야 ECU로부터 진단데이터를 관리할 수 있다. 많은 자동차 제조사가 자동차 전장 표준인 AUTOSAR 표준을 기반으로 ECU를 제작하고 있으면, 소프트웨어 구조 또한 표준에 따라 적용될 수 있도록 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 AUTUSAR 표준의 자동차 진단 통신 방식을 이해하고 진단 데이터 구성과 처리 방식에 대해서 연구하였으며, 소프트웨어 컴포넌트와 진단통신, 진단 이벤트 처리에 대한 내용에 대해서 연구하였다.

Power plants rely on air operated valves for the proper operation of many plant system. Many significant problems arise in vital systems of power plants due to air operated valve failures. This paper deals with the diagnosis technique and data acquisition method of an AOV actuator peformance. We constructed AOV diagnosis system and performed some tests to find out whether an AOV actuator was properly designed.
