COVID-19 전후 의료 진단 특허 출원 동향 분석 (Patent Analysis in the Clinical Diagnosis Sector : Before and After COVID-19)

  • Objectives : This study aims to analyze the patents filed in the clinical diagnosis sector where technologies have been actively developed since the advent of the 4th industrial revolution. Methods : The analysis has been conducted in two ways - the period from 2016 to 2021 and the time points before and after COVID-19 - by visualizing based on the word cloud method. Results : Over two thirds of patents has been filed in the A61B sector (71.8%) and cure, sensor, self diagnosis, control, and breakdown have been observed in the period above. During the overall period (2016~2021), 'ultrasound'(7.5%), 'image'(5.1%), 'skin'(4.0%), 'treatment'(3.4%), and 'artificial intelligence(2.5%)' were the frequently patent applications technologies. In addition, 'ultrasound'(6.2%), 'image'(5.5%), 'skin'(4.0%), 'treatment' (3.7%), and 'portable'(1.7%) appeared most frequently before COVID-19 whereas 'ultrasound(5.5%)', 'artificial intelligence(4.2%)', 'diagnostic device'(1.9%), 'dimentia'(1.6%), and 'diagnostic kit'(1.4%) emerged the most after COVID-19. Conclusion : This study is meaningful in that it showed the technological development trend in the digital diagnosis sector and it was found that the Korean medicine field should contribute to this field more actively in the future.

  • In this study, fault diagnosis and detection methods developed to ensure the reliability of polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolysis systems have been proposed. The proposed method consists of model development and data generation of the PEM hydrogen electrolysis system, and data-driven fault diagnosis learning model development. The developed fault diagnosis learning model describes how to detect and classify faults in the sensors and components of the system.

담석증에 대한 양도락 진단의 활용 가능성 (The Potential of Yangdorak Diagnosis Application of Gallstone)

  • Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the potential of Yangdorak diagnosis application against gallstone scanned by Ultrasound diagnosis. Method: For this aim, among 97 patients who had visited Julip Korean Medicine Clinic from July 2016 to June 2023, 30 patients with no gallstone as a control group and 67 patients with gallstone and diagnosed by ultrasonography, were subjected to Yangdorak diagnosis. Then, the changes in Gallbladder Meridian (GB) value as F5 AVE(average of left and right GB value) by Yangdorak were comparatively analyzed between gallstone and non-gallstone groups and statistical significance was evaluated by Tukey's multiple comparison test using Prism software. Results: After all subjects were evaluated by the Yangdorak and ultrasonography to assess the potential of the Yangdorak diagnosis for gallstone, it was noteworthy that the Yangdorak values relevant to F5 AVE of female gallstone group(N=36) were significantly (p<0.001) decreased compared to the control group (N=30), while there was no significance in male gallstone group(N=31). Also, it was recognized significant difference between male and female groups. Conclusion: Based on these results, if the Yangdorak value can be estimated from a decrease with clinical symptom in female patient, it is recommended to follow up the ultrasonography test for diagnosing the gallstone.

무선 디지털청진기를 이용한 동물 진단시스템 (Animal Diagnosis System Using Wireless Digital Stethoscope)

  • 동물 의료는 병의 정도나 치료의 필요성에 관계없이 보호자의 의향이 앞서는 어려운 의료행위이다. 특히, 동물치료 중 심장 질환은 필요한 치료법의 결정이나 치료 효과의 확인에 대해서 동물 환자로부터 직접적인 답을 얻기가 어렵다. 그래서 동물 환자의 경우, 심장질환은 증상의 악화로 급변하거나 돌연사 등의 응급사태를 예측하고 그것에 대처하는 것은 거의 불가능하다. 심장 및 몸 안의 질환을 확인하는 1차 진단 방법은 청진이다. CT나 X-ray, 초음파 등의 최첨단 영상장비들을 이용하여 정확하게 측정할 수 있지만 장비가 비싸고, 이를 활용할 수 있는 전문인력이 요구되는 등 경제성으로 인해 2차 진단장비로 활용되어질 뿐 1차 진단을 위한 가장 좋은 진단도구로 여전히 청진기가 이용되어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수의사가 귀에 대지 않고 청진음을 분석하고 무선으로 어디서나 진단 할 수 있는 무선디지털 진단시스템에 대해 자세하게 서술하고, 이 시스템을 통해 진단되는 청진음에 대한 레벨교차율(LCR)과 에너지레벨을 통해 질병의 관계에 대해 새로운 개념의 진단시스템 환경을 제시한다.

3개 대학병원의 주 진단 코딩사례 평가 (Evaluation of Current Coding Practices in 3 University Hospitals)

  • Background : Coding of principal diagnosis is essential component for producing reliable health statistics. We performed this study to evaluate the current practice of principal diagnoses determination and coding, and to give some basic data to improve coding of principal diagnosis. Method : Nineteen medical record administrators (MRAs) of 3 university hospitals participated in coding principal Dx. from August 1, 2001 to August 31, 2001. From each hospital, 10 medical records of patients with high frequency disease were selected randomly. Each 10 medical records were grouped into three (A. B, C). Then, these 30 medical records were given to each MRAs for coding. At the same time questionnaire was given to each of them. Questions were to prove how they decide and code the principal diagnosis among many current diagnoses; how they decide and code the principal diagnosis when they see irrelevant diagnosis recorded as the principal diagnosis in medical record, when only tentative diagnoses were recorded without final diagnosis, and when different diagnoses were recorded in different sheets of same record. Agreement of coding among 3 hospitals were compared and survey results were analysed with SAS 6.12. Results : Agreement of coding was found in medical records 5-6 of each 10 medical records. Causes of disagreement were as follows. Difference of clinician's opinion from each hospital; mixed use of guideline from KCD-3 and guideline from DRG; difference in 4th digit classification according to the absence of pathology report in the medical record; difference of abbreviations among hospitals. 57.9% of MRAs selected the principal diagnosis recorded by physician, 42.1% of MRAs decided principal diagnosis after consulting to KCD-3 guideline. When there were difficulties in determining the principal diagnosis, 42.1% of MRAs decided principal diagnosis after discussion with the physician, 26.3% after discussion with fellow MRAs. Conclusion : There were differences in codings among hospitals. To minimize the difference, we suggest the development of disease-specific guidelines for coding in addition to the current general guideline such as KCD-3. To do this, Coding Clinic which can produce guidelines is needed.

'맥상(脈狀)의 환측(患側)' 취혈(取穴)과 침(鍼) 치료(治療) 경과 확인 기준으로서의 촌구맥진(寸口脈診)의 의의(意義) (Significance of Chongu pulse diagnosis as the standard of measuring the result of the acupuncture on 'The affected part of the pulse wave')

  • Objective : The aim of this study is to find out the significance of Chongu pulse diagnosis as the standard of measuring the result of the acupuncture on 'the affected part of the pulse wave' based on the literature. Method : (1) The clear concepts of the 'unaffected part' and the 'affected part' were organized. (2) The relation between the pulse diagnosis and the acupuncture in Hwangjenaekyung was studied. (3) The indications of Mu acupuncture treatment(繆刺法) and Geo acupuncture treatment(巨刺法) in Hwangjenaekyung was studied. (4) The types and changes of pulse diagnosis in Hwangjenaekyung was studied, especially based on the relation between Sambuguhu pulse diagnosis(三部九候脈診) and Chongu pulse diagnosis(寸口脈診). (5) By synthesizing these results, the significance of Chongu pulse diagnosis as the standard of measuring the result of the acupuncture on 'the affected part of the pulse wave' was found. Result & Conclusion : 1. When the affected part and the unaffected part are defined, it is necessary to make clear that which one of next three definitions is used ; Firstly, 'the broad sense of definition of the affected part and the unaffected part of the symptom', which contains the pulse wave. Secondly, 'the narrow sense of definition of the affected part and the unaffected part of the symptom', without the pulse wave. And thirdly, 'the definition of the affected and the unaffected part of the pulse wave', which has the only independent standard of the pulse wave. 2. Geo acupuncture treatment(巨刺法) is an acupuncture treatment which means the needling on 'the affected part of the pulse wave' based on Sambuguhu pulse diagnosis (三部九候脈診), and Mu acupuncture treatment(繆刺法) is an acupuncture treatment which means the needling on 'the unaffected part of the symptom based on the narrow sense of the definition'. The range of the indications of Mu acupuncture treatment(繆刺法) and Geo acupuncture treatment(巨刺法) contains most of the diseases which contains Rakbyung(絡病), Kyungbyung(經病) and Ojangbyung(五臟病). 3. Chongu pulse diagnosis(寸口脈診) contains not only the range of the indications of Sambuguhu pulse diagnosis(三部九候脈診), but also most of the diseases. 4. From synthesizing these results of the study on the literature, we infer that Chongu pulse diagnosis as the standard of measuring the result of the acupuncture on 'the affected part of the pulse wave' is significant.

EXPERT SYSTEM FOR A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT ACCIDENT DIAGNOSIS USING A FUZZY INFERENCE METHOD

  • The huge and complicated plants such as nuclear power stations are likely to cause the operators to make mistakes due to a variety of inexplicable reasons and symptoms in case of emergency. That’s why the prevention system assisting the operators is being developed for. First of all. I suggest an improved fuzzy diagnosis. Secondly, I want to demonstrate that a classification system of nuclear plant’s accident investigating the causes of accidents foresees possible problems, and maintains the reliability of the diagnostic reports in spite of improper working in part. In the event of emergency in a nuclear plant, a lot of operational steps enable the operators to find out what caused the problems based on an emergent operating plan. Our system is able to classify their types within twenty to thirty seconds. As so, we expect the system to put down the accidents right after the rapid detection of the damage control-method concerned.

개인용 컴퓨터를 이용한 뇌 합성영상에 대한 재구성

  • Recently, to make a diagnosis of the patient different X-Ray examinations are used. To name a few, Computed Tomography(CT). Magnetic Resonance Image(MRI) Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography(SPET) and Positron Emission Tomography(PET). But diagnosticians face difficulties sometimes when they make a diagnosis with images from those examinations. One of the problem is whether the Lesions of the patient is captured in the image correctly. Another one is whether the images are taken with same angle. in this paper, a study 9 on the method to obtain the hybrid image from the different images to different examinations. The procedure done in this paper is described as future study. Although small errors in position between images would occurred, this method more useful as it does not make patients in convenient. To reconstruct a image, some images are scanned by scanner and stored to personal computer for further image processing with Aldus photostyler program. The method to generate a sharpened image are also described.

  • A new method of Fault Diagnosis in linear systems using unknown input observer design technique is presented. This method is based upon the fact that the structural uncertainties, actuator faults, and sensor faults of a linear system can be rewritten in unknown inputs. The proposed method can simultaneously estimate the state variables of an actual system, as well as the actuator and sensor faults.

Two-Step Filtering Datamining Method Integrating Case-Based Reasoning and Rule Induction

  • Case-based reasoning (CBR) methods are applied to various target problems on the supposition that previous cases are sufficiently similar to current target problems, and the results of previous similar cases support the same result consistently. However, these assumptions are not applicable for some target cases. There are some target cases that have no sufficiently similar cases, or if they have, the results of these previous cases are inconsistent. That is, the appropriateness of CBR is different for each target case, even though they are problems in the same domain. Thus, applying CBR to whole datasets in a domain is not reasonable. This paper presents a new hybrid datamining technique called two-step filtering CBR and Rule Induction (TSFCR), which dynamically selects either CBR or RI for each target case, taking into consideration similarities and consistencies of previous cases. We apply this method to three medical diagnosis datasets and one credit analysis dataset in order to demonstrate that TSFCR outperforms the genuine CBR and RI.
