  • This paper presents the results of vehicle dynamics simulation for development of single axle bogie for freight vehicle. Those results consists of hunting stability, ride comfort and curving performance such as derailment ratio, unloading ratio. Dynamic behaviors of vehicle having single axle bogie is carried out using the multi-body dynamics simulation program(VAMPIRE). The results of analysis meet the criteria proposed by Korean National Railroad(KNR) and Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI).

  • The railway system is composed of large scale infrastructures and high-cost trains. For planning and analyzing this kind of complex system, simulation method can be used for efficient tool. In this research, we review basic simulation programming models and present a modeling for the elements of railway system such as rail-line infrastructure, train, time table and operational route. Additionally, some considerations on the development of multi-train traffic simulator for KyongBu-line are discussed.

  • This paper deals with the development of the simulation models Cheju - Haenam HVDC system and its dynamic performance study and verify the control characteristics of the HVDC system. It discusses the model development requirement and criteria. It provides guedelines for developing large-scale simulation models for detailed electromagnetic studies and presents the results of the modeling project.

  • With the development of science and technology, various research on ship collision avoidance has also developed rapidly. The research and development of ship collision avoidance technology has also received high attention from many researchers. This paper proposes a new collision avoidance algorithm for ships based on the artificial force field collision avoidance method. Using the simulation platform, the simulation results show that ships can successfully avoid collision in open water under single ship and multi ship situations, and the research results are relatively ideal.

  • Simulation models have been developed to predict the overall behavior of the CANDU plant systems during normal operational transients. For real time simulation purpose, simplified thermal hydraulic models are applied with appropriate system control logics, which include primary heat transport system solver with its component models and secondary side system models. The secondary side models are mainly used to provide boundary conditions for primary system calculation and to accomodate plant power control logics. Also, for the effective use of simulation package, hardware oriented basic simulation network has been established with appropriate graphic display system. Through validation with typical plant power maneuvering cases using proven plant performance analysis computer code, the present simulation package shows reasonable capability in the prediction of the dynamic behavior of plant variables during operational transients of CANDU plant, which means that this simulation tool can be utilized as a basic framework for full scope simulation network through further improvements.

  • To evaluate the performance of ventilation system properly, the correlations among the ventilation rate, indoor air-quality and cooling/heating load should be analysed. In this study, simulation tool to analyze the performance of ventilation system was developed. The simulation tool is based on the TRNSYS and some modules to calculate concentration of pollutants with the operation of ventilation system and to decide the signal of ventilation system were newly developed in this study. And these modules coupled with building load and heating/cooling simulation modules. To verify the validity of developed simulation tool, comparison study between simulation and field study were accomplished. As results, the simulation tool developed in this study can be used to predict the performance of ventilation system with accuracy.

  • An optimal flight motion simulator path generation method is proposed for hardware in the loop simulation of high maneuverable missile. The proposed method consists of open loop and closed loop path calculation algorithm based on the energy optimal control strategies. The optimal angle command is able to protect the simulator from high acceleration shock at initial control phase.

  • 최근 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기술이 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있으며 특히, 국방 분야에서는 모의기반획득(Simulation Based Acquisition)이 필수적인 정책으로 인식되고 있다. 모의기반획득 과정 중 시험평가 단계에서는 실제 시험이 불가능한 시험평가 환경을 모의하고 실장비 연동검증을 위한 모의 기반 시험환경 구축이 필요하다. 이때 시험평가의 효율성 및 신뢰성향상을 위해 시험평가 장비의 상호운용성, 재사용성 및 신뢰성 확보가 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 지대공 유도무기 체계 시험평가의 효율성을 위해 시뮬레이션 프레임워크 기반 모의기를 제작하였고 시험평가 신뢰성 향상을 위해 VV&A 프로세스를 적용하였다. 지대공유도무기 시험평가를 위한 통합시험시스템의 개발과정 및 특징에 대해 설명하고 실제 시험평가 적용사례 및 결과를 제시하며 향후 활용방안 및 연구방향에 대하여 설명한다.

  • This paper is aimed to develop Tank Simulation Model. The model simulates Tank-to-Tank engagement and Tank-to-Helicopter engagement by considering Korean battlefield environment. The simulated entities are command tanks, fight tanks, scout helicopters, attack helicopters, anti-tank guided missiles, and decoys. In this paper, we explain the model operational concept, model development and finally we will show some illustrative examples.
