터보기계에 적용되는 유체 윤활 베어링 및 댐퍼의 최신 연구 동향 (Recent Advances in Fluid Film Bearings and Dampers for Turbomachinery)

  • The paper presents extensive survey and review of experimental and analytical researches on fluid film bearings and squeeze film dampers (SFDs) for turbomachinery available in open literature (major archival international journals) published recently (2018 and 2019 only). Over 60 published research works are reviewed based on the research topics and objectives, the types of bearings, size of bearings, and main design parameters with a brief summary of experiments and/or predictions in each work. Some important findings and general observations about the experimental and/or predictive data are also presented. There are several major trends observed throughout the survey. A large portion of the papers focuses on bearing surface textures and effect of operating and assembly conditions on static and/or dynamic forced performances, as well as bearing surface roughness and wear patterns. Researches on geometry of orifices and recesses in hydrostatic (or hybrid) bearings, as well as bearing system stability predictions using thermohydrodynamic analysis and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), are considered as significant topics. Studies on SFDs mainly focus on experimental identification of force coefficients for various SFD geometries and sealing conditions. Reliable experiments of fluid film bearings and SFDs along with the development of experimentally benchmarked predictive tools enable reinforcement of the path for reliable implementations of the bearing components into high performance rotating machinery operating at extreme and harsh conditions. The extensive list of sources of recent experiments in the available open literature is a welcome addition to the analytical community to gauge the accuracy of predictive tools.

기상레이더와 분포형 모형을 이용한 실시간 유출해석 시스템 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Real Time Runoff Modelling System using Weather Radar and Distributed Model)

  • 격자 기반의 물리적 분포형 모형은 유역의 물리적 매개변수와 격자 형식의 공간 및 수문자료를 이용해서 유출해석을 수행한다. 본 연구에서는 격자 기반의 물리적 분포형 강우-유출 모형인 GRM(Grid based Rainfall-runoff Model)의 실시간 유출해석 모듈인 GRM RT(Real Time)를 이용해서 실시간 유출해석 시스템을 개발하였다. 실시간으로 수신되는 기상레이더 자료를 기상청의 실시간 AWS 자료를 이용하여 보정한 후 유출해석에 적용하며, 수위관측소 자료로부터 생성되는 유량자료를 이용해서 유출모형을 실시간 보정한다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 유출해석 시스템 구축을 위해서 필요한 데이터베이스를 설계 및 구현하였으며, 분포형 모형과 레이더 자료를 이용한 실시간 유출해석 절차를 정립하였다. 또한 개발된 시스템의 성능을 평가하고 실시간 모형보정에 대한 적용성을 평가하였다. 소양강댐 상류에 위치한 내린천 수위관측소 유역을 대상으로 실시간 유출해석 시스템을 적용하고 그 결과를 평가하였다.

  • MIRIS is the main payload of the Science and Technology Satellite-3 (STSAT-3). which is being developed by KASI for infrared survey observation of the Galactic plane at Paschen alpha wavelength. Wideband filters in I and H band will also be used to observe cosmic infrared background. The MIRIS will perform astronomical observations in the near-infrared wavelengths of 0.9~2 ${\mu}m$ using a 256 ${\times}$ 256 Teledyne PICNIC FPA sensor providing a 3.67 ${\times}$ 3.67 degree field of view with a pixel scale of 51.6 arcsec. The flight model of the MIRIS has been recently developed, The system performance tests have been made in the laboratory, including opto-mechanics test, vibration test, thermal vacuum test and passive cooling test down to 200K, using a thermally controlled vacuum chamber. Several focus tests showed good agreements compared to initial design parameters. Recent efforts are being concentrated to improve the system performances, particularly to reduce readout noise level in electronics. After assembly and integration into the satellite bus, the MIRIS will be launched in 2012.

김치생산용 알타리무 전처리가공시스템 개발 (IV) - 시작기의 자동화와 평가 - (Development of the Altari Radish Pre-Processing System for Kimchi Production (IV) - Automation and Evaluation of the Prototype Machine -)

  • An Altari radish pre-processing system, which feasible to process automatically such operations as leaf and root tail cutting and root peeling, for kimchi production was accomplished based on the foregone serial studies. In this study, the performances of the developed prototype machine, considered as a commercializing level, were analyzed and evaluated. The prototype machine attached Tiny PLC automatic control system was performed the sequent function as the rate of successful peeling was more than 98% for the Altari radish less than 70 mm diameter of a radish. The operating efficiency of this was 9 see/each, 128 kg/h, and it means as much as $5{\sim}6$ times that of a woman labor's. The sanitation and taste of the mechanized-processed Altari radish kimchi was almost same as that of the handmade. And they were suitable for manufactory of kimchi as the both short term ripening and storing kimchi. Developed machinery with one peeling device and two peeling devices that compared with hand processing, it was analyzed that the break-even yearly working days were 28 days and 19 days, and the break-even yearly processing amount were 28,700 kg, 32,400 kg, respectively.

모노펄스 센서에 대한 점 잡음 재밍 기법의 효과도 분석 (An Analysis of Spot Noise Jamming Technique in a Monopulse Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 우선, 진폭 비교 모노펄스(amplitude comparison monopulse) 방식으로 표적을 추적하는 모노펄스 센서(monopulse sensor)를 모델링하여 부가적인 방해 신호가 없는 경우, 표적에 대한 원활한 추적이 가능하도록 모델링하였다. 그 후, 여러 점 잡음 재밍(spot noise jamming) 시나리오들에 대한 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 모노펄스 센서의 각도 추정 결과 및 운동 궤적을 비교 및 분석하였다. 결과적으로, 본 연구를 통해 모노펄스 센서에 대한 점 잡음 재밍 기법의 효과적인 성능 분석이 가능하였다.

  • Samsung, recognized as a global leading company, has huge and complex supply chain structures and has been improving them continuously for its fast-growing global businesses. SCM 6 Sigma is the state-of-the-art methodology developed through a combination of SCM innovation concepts accumulated from SCM Business Group in Samsung SDS and 6 Sigma which has successfully settled down as the management innovation tool for many companies in Samsung. The ultimate goal of SCM 6 Sigma is to train and develop future supply chain leaders who are more capable of leading SCM innovations. By leveraging the established 6 Sigma Belt System, Samsung aims to alleviate a shortage of SCM talents that has been a bottleneck in improving SCM performances at its group companies. This explains why SCM 6 Sigma is created. SCM 6 Sigma is the unique and critical component for Samsung to implement its various strategies for continuous improvement of its operations at a higher level of effectiveness and systematically as well. In return on these efforts, many SCM innovation projects have been successfully executed through SCM 6 Sigma up to today. In this paper, we introduce the methodology and explain the business rationale behind it together with its deployment case.

Barge 형 수상선의 DP(Dynamic Positioning) System 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Dynamic Positioning System for Barge Type Surface Vessels)

  • In this paper, the authors propose a new approach to control a barge type surface vessel. It is based on the Dynamic Positioning System(DPS) design. The main role of barge ship is to carry and supply the materials to the floating units and other places. To carry out this job, it should be positioned in the specified area. However sometimes the thrust systems are installed on it, and in general the rope control by mooring winch system is used. It may be difficult to compare the control performances of two types. If we consider this problem in point of usefulness, we can easily find out that the winch control system is more useful and applicable to the real field than the thrust control system except a special use. Therefore, in this paper we consider a DPS design problem which can be extended to the many application fields. The goal of this paper is twofold. First, the sliding mode controller (SMC) for positioning the our vessel is proposed. Especially, in this paper, a robust stability condition is given based on descriptor system representation. In the result, the sliding mode control law guarantees to keep the vessel in the defined area in the presence of environmental disturbances. And second, the thrust allocation problem is solved by using redistributed pseudo-inverse (RPI) algorithm to determine the thrust force and direction of each individual actuator. The proposed approach has been simulated with a supply vessel model and found work well.

방폭형 적외선 가연성가스 누출검지기 개발 및 정확도 향상 연구 (A Study on the Development and Accuracy Improvement of an IR Combustible Gas Leak Detector with Explosion Proof)

  • 본 논문에서는 적외선센서를 이용하여 방폭형 휴대용 가연성가스 누출검지기를 개발하고 아울러 가스의 농도를 측정하는 정확도를 향상시키는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 국내최초로 내압 및 본질안전방폭규격(Ex d ib) 적용하여 적외선 가스누출검지기는 개발하였으며, 선형회귀 방정식과 2차 라그랑지(Lagrange) 보간 다항식(interpolation polynomial)을 사용하여 측정정확도를 개선하였다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 현장검사원들의 요구사항을 조사하여 현장에 부합하도록 성능을 향상시키고, 편의기능을 추가하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 가스누출검지기와 타사의 검지기를 비교하기 위하여 한국가스안전공사에서 제조한 표준가스 8종을 가지고 측정시험을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 가스누출검지기의 검지 정확도가 우수함을 실험결과를 통하여 증명하였다.

연속교통류 재현을 위한 거시적 모형의 비교 연구 (A Study on Describing Uninterrupted Traffic Flows using Macroscopic Models)

  • 본 연구는 도시고속도로 교통류의 효과적인 관리와 운영상태 평가에 사용되는 거시적 연속교통류 재현 모형의 성능 비교에 관한 연구이다. 연속교통류 재현을 위한 거시적 모형은 크게 단순연속방정식 모형과 가속도방정식 모형의 범주 안에서 여러 모형들이 개발되어져 왔지만, 국내에서는 이 두 모형들에 대한 성능 비교에 관한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 대표적인 거시적 연속교통류 모형들의 성능평가를 통해서 개개 모형들이 가지고 있는 특징을 알아본 후 대도시 고속도로의 교통류 재현에 이용할 수 있는 모형을 선정한다. 모형의 성능 비교를 위해 거시적 연속교통류 모형 중에서 대표적인 5개 모형(Lax Method Model, Upwind Scheme Model, Hilliges' Model, Papageorgiou's Model, Cell-Transmission Model)을 선택하였으며, Numerical Example과 실측 현장자료를 이용하여 모형들의 성능 비교를 실시하였다. 가상자료를 이용한 분석방법에서는 대체로 모든 모형이 적절한 결과값을 보여주었지만, 단순 연속방정식 모형이 모형의 안정성과 교통상황 재현력 측면에서 볼 때 가속도방정식 모형보다 좀더 안정적인 결과값을 보여주었다. 현장자료를 이용한 분석방법에서는 미국의 Nimitz Freeway의 오전 첨두시 3시간 교통 자료(밀도, 교통량)를 이용하였다. 분석대상구간에 대한 모형성능 평가결과, 단순연속방정식 모형의 결과와 가속도방정식 모형의 결과가 유사하게 나왔으며. 비교적 계산식이 단순한 거시적 연속교통류 모형들도 분석대상구간의 혼잡상황을 어느 정도 잘 재현하고 있음을 보여준다.

Metal Grids Embedded Transparent Conductive Electrode with Flexibility and Its Applications

  • Recently, flexibility is one of the hottest issues in the field of electronic devices. For flexible displays or solar cells, a development of transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) with flexibility, bendability and foldability is an essential element. Hundreds of nanometers indium-tin-oxide (ITO) films have been widely used and commercialized as a transparent electrode, but their brittleness make them difficulty to apply flexible electronics. Many researchers have been studying for flexible TCEs such as a few layers of graphene sheets, carbon nanotube networks, conductive polymer films and combinations among them. Although gained flexibility, their transmittance and resistivity have not reached those of commercialized ITO films. Metal grids electrode cannot act as TCEs only, but they can be used to lower the resistance of TCEs with few losses of transmittance. However, the possibility of device shortage will be rise at the devices with metal grids because a surface flatness of TCEs may be deteriorated when metal grids are introduced using conventional methods. In our research, we have developed hybrid TCEs, which combined tens of nanometers ITO film and metal grids which are embedded in flexible substrate. They show $13{\Omega}$/${\Box}f$ sheet resistance with 94% of transmittance. Moreover, the sheet resistance was maintained up to 1 mm of bending radius. Also, we have verified that flexible organic light emitting diodes and organic solar cells with the TCEs showed similar performances compared to commercial ITO (on glass substrate) devices.
