In the present study, we review the history of the participations of the Korean national team in the International Mathematical Olympiad for 28 years. We identifiy three major events that highlighted the development of the Korean Mathematical Olympiad program: The first participation in the International Mathematical Olympiad, hosting of the International Mathematical Olympiad, and winning the first place in the International Mathematical Olympiad. We also propose some recommendations for next steps to facilitate the development of Mathematical Olympiad in Korea.

Contradictions often occur between the process of urban modernization and protection of history and culture, which have become the topics of current studies. The development of a city has its past, present and future while history and culture have their continued process. Culture is the sediment of history, left among buildings and merged in life. Exerting a subtle influence on the construction of a city and behaviors of citizens, culture is very important to the urban construction and is also the soul of a city and its buildings. Culture is closely bound up with inhabitants' life and the key to protect well the cultural features is to protect well historical and cultural venues. Qushuiyuan Garden is a venue for local folklore activities. The programming holds that folklore, historical and humane sceneries should be protected and left to our coming generations.

With the discovery of metabolic mechanisms of alcohol fermentation and acetic acid fermentation in the 1800s and 1900s, the history of traditional vinegar became a turning point for changing to the history of science and technology. Since then, innovation in vinegar production has occurred, and the era of full-scale mass industrialization has opened. The most modern method, submerged fermentation, has improved the vinegar production process to produce much higher quality vinegar and provide vinegar with high productivity and quality uniformity. Innovative research for vinegar production is underway as various approaches have been developed to increase fermentation efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten fermentation time due to the trend of combining existing technologies and advanced technologies. Now that the development of the vinegar industry is currently focused on vinegar engineering, multidisciplinary approaches in various fields such as microbiology, chemistry, food technology, process engineering, and molecular biology are needed.

2000년 이상 기하학의 주류를 이루었던 유클리드기하학은 19세기중반 위상수학의 탄생으로 기하학의 연구가 국소적이론에서 대역적 이론으로 이행하는 과정에서 현대기하학이 획기적인 발전을 하였다. 본 논문에서는 고전적인 불변량인 오일러수에서 시작하여 최근까지 발전하여온 불변량 및 20세기 중반 이후에 발전을 한 저차원다양체의 이론을 간단히 소개한다.

Taylor's Theorem is an important theorem which is applied to several disciplines. It is usually taught in a college-level calculus course for the first time. Many students have a hard time to understand or to make applications. In this paper, we look into the history of the development of Taylor's theorem and consider a teaching strategy of the theorem.
