전차의 포탑 선회, 고저 구동용 10kW BLDC 전동기 가변속 전류제어기 개발 (The Development of a Speed Changeable Current Controller for Driving a 10kW BLDC Motor for Revolving and Elevating a Turret a Tank)

  • 본 논문에서는 전차 포탑의 선회, 고저를 담당하던 기존의 유압시스템을 모터를 사용하는 전기시스템으로 대체한 후 이 시스템에 벡터제어기법을 적용하였다. 모터의 각 상에 원하는 교류 전류를 공급하기 위한 전압원 인버터의 스위칭 방법으로는 주로 사용하는 공간벡터 PWM 변조방식 보다는 연산량이 적어서 빠른 연산을 수행할 수 있는 MIN-MAX PWM 변조방식을 사용하였으며 디지털 필터를 설계 적용하였다. 설계된 전류제어기는 전차의 환경시제에서 전류제어, 속도제어, 주파수응답 및 속도 궤적 추종 실험을 하였으며 그 성능을 입증하였다.

등가손실 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 및 암호화 통신에 관한 연구 (A study on chaos synchronization and secure communication of Chua's circuit with equivalent lossy transmission line)

  • Chua 회로는 어트렉터와 다양한 분기를 나타내는 간단한 전자 회로로 2개의 캐패시터, 인덕터, 선형 저항 그리고 비선형 저항으로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로를 이용하여 송신부와 수신부를 구성하고 이 사이에 등가 손실 전송선로를 카오스 동기화 및 암호화 통신 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 손실 등가 전송 시스템의 동기화는 결합 동기 이론을 적용하기 곤란하기 때문에 구동동기 이론과 결합 동기 이론을 결합한 구동-결합 동기 이론을 제안하였다. 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로에 등가 손실 전송 선로를 두어 전송로를 구성한 후 송신부와 전송선로 사이는 구동-결합 동기 이론을, 전송선로와 수신부 사이는 결합 동기 이론을 적용한 동기화 방법을 제시하였다. 손실 등가 전송 선로를 가진 Chua 회로의 카오스 암호화 방법은 송신부에서 카오스 신호화 정보 신호를 가산기를 이용하여 합성한 후 수신부에서 이들 신호를 분리하는 복조 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 PI형태의 속도제어기를 장착한 고성능 유도전동기의 조건부 적분형 자동 튜닝 anti-windup 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 전동기 운전 조건에 대한 사전 정보 없이도 전동기 토오크 지령의 주파수 해석에 의해서 적분기 온/오프 시점이 결정된다. 따라서, 사용자는 anti-windup 동작을 위한 별도의 제어 상수를 설정하지 않아도 된다. 또한, 동작 조건이 변동하여도 과도 상태의 속도는 항상 최소한의 오버슈우트와 점착시간을 가지도록 동작한다. 본 기법은 속도 및 토오크 응답의 오버슈우트를 허용하지 않는 유도전동기 고성능 응용 분야에 유용하게 적용 될 수 있으며, 기본 개념은 화학 공정이나 산업용 로봇과 같은 일반 산업 응용 분야에도 확대 적용 가능하다.

Robust Deadbeat Current Control Method for Three-Phase Voltage-Source Active Power Filter

  • This paper is concerned with a deadbeat current control implementation of shunt-type three-phase active power filter (APF). Although the one-dimensional deadbeat control method can attain time-optimal response of APF compensating current, one sampling period is actually required fur its settling time. This delay is a serious drawback for this control technique. To cancel such a delay and one more delay caused by DSP execution time, the desired APF compensating current has to be predicted two sampling periods ahead. Therefore an adaptive predictor is adopted for the purpose of both predicting the control error of two sampling periods ahead and bringing the robustness to the deadbeat current control system. By adding the adaptive predictor output as an adjustment term to the reference value of half a source voltage period before, settling time is made short in a transient state. On the other hand, in a steady state, THD (total harmonic distortion) of the utility grid side AC source current can be reduced as much as possible, compared to the case that ideal identification of controlled system could be made.

LH 전송선로를 이용한 이중대역 증폭기의 설계 (A Design of Dual Band Amplifier Using Left Handed Transmission Lines)

  • This paper describes a design of dual band amplifier using left handed (LHJ) transmission line, which is a part of composite right/left handed (CRLH) transmission line. It is well known that CRLH transmission lines show dual band frequency response. At first, two single-band amplifiers for frequency f1 and f2 are designed, and their matching networks at both amplifiers are synthesized into the dual band matching network by adopting CRLH structure. As an example for proving the validity of the proposed design, a dual band amplifier operating at 1800MHz and 2300MHz is designed, fabricated and measured. The simulation and measurement show that the proposed amplifier operates well at the desired dual bands with the gain of 13.65dB and 19dB at 1850MHz and 2360MHz, respectively, and a good matching performances. In addition, a quite good agreement between the simulation and measurement is observed.

The Cultural and Environmental Unsoundness of the Chinese Public Squatting-Type Toilet: A Case Study toward a Sustainable Excreta Treatment System

  • The inconvenient truth of sustainable public squat toilet culture varies among nationalities. This culture may be comfortable to the people of China, yet uncomfortable to the non-Chinese, according to the adequate environmental management in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture (YKAP), northern China. We conducted a series of field surveys and individual interviews (Chinese n = 1,000 and non-Chinese [foreign visitors] n = 100) on several aspects of the public squat toilet: structural properties, waste disposal methods, important factors, and overall satisfaction level. The significant factors in response to the public squat toilets were cleanliness, odor, toilet paper, temperature, soap, other facilities, and presence of cubicles. These factors should be policy priorities of the local government. In addition, 66.2% of Chinese and 91% of foreign visitors desired type E toilets (two full-high partition walls and a door). The results illustrate the nature of a sustainable and beautiful approach to the culturally and environmentally sound management of various types of public squat toilet in YKAP. The government needs to focus on the future-oriented and excreta treatment management of the sustainable toilet culture for residents and visitors of YKAP.

DEVELOPMENT OF A SIMPLE CONTROL ALGORITHM FOR SWIRL MOTOR CONTROLLER

  • This paper describes a simple proportional and integral control algorithm for a swirl motor controller and its application. The control algorithm may be complicated in order to have desired performance, such as low steady state errors, fast response time, and relatively low overshoot. At the same time, it should be compact so that it can be easily implemented on a low cost microcontroller, which has no floating-point calculation capability and low computing speed. These conflicting requirements are fulfilled by the proposed control algorithm which consists of a gain scheduling proportional controller and an anti-windup integral controller. The mechanical friction, which is caused by gears and a return spring, varies very nonlinearly according to the angular position of the system. This nonlinear static friction is overcome by the proportional controller, which has a two-dimensional look up gain table. It has error axis and angular position axis. The integral controller is designed not only to minimize the steady state error but also to avoid the windup effect, which may be caused by the saturation of a motor driver. The proposed control algorithm is verified by use of a commercial product to prove the feasibility of the algorithm.

외부 열적 환경 변화에 따른 압전작동기 제어성능 열화 고찰 (Control Performance Investigation of Piezoelectric Actuators under Variation of External Heat Environment)

  • This paper proposes experimental results for control performance deterioration of a piezoelectric actuator under high temperature conditions due to external heat environment. In this work, a heat environment from 30 ℃ to 190 ℃ is established by a heat chamber which is capable of high temperature of heat environment. Inside the heat chamber, an experimental apparatus consisting of the stack type of piezoelectric actuator, laser sensor, gap sensor and temperature sensor is established. After evaluating temperature dependent blocking force, displacement and time response of a piezoelectric actuator inside the heat chamber, tracking control performances are evaluated under various temperature conditions via proportional-integral-derivative(PID) feedback controller. The desired position trajectory has a sinusoidal wave form with a fixed frequency. Control performances are experimentally evaluated at both room temperature and high temperature and presented in time domain.

Design optimization in hard turning of E19 alloy steel by analysing surface roughness, tool vibration and productivity

  • In the present work, the optimization of machining parameters to achieve the desired technological parameters such as surface roughness, tool radial vibration and material removal rate have been carried out using response surface methodology (RSM). The hard turning of EN19 alloy steel with coated carbide (GC3015) cutting tools was studied. The main problem faced in manufacturer of hard and high precision components is the selection of optimum combination of cutting parameters for achieving required quality of surface finish with maximum production rate. This problem can be solved by development of mathematical model and execution of experiments by RSM. A face centred central composite design (FCCD), which comes under the RSM approach, with cutting parameters (cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut) was used for statistical analysis. A second-order regression model were developed to correlate the cutting parameters with surface roughness, tool vibration and material removal rate. Consequently, numerical and graphical optimization were performed to obtain the most appropriate cutting parameters to produce the lowest surface roughness with minimal tool vibration and maximum material removal rate using desirability function approach. Finally, confirmation experiments were performed to verify the pertinence of the developed mathematical models.

  • 본 논문에서는 이중 광 콜리메터 광학계와 바이메탈 엑추에이터를 이용한 가변 광감쇠기를 제안하고 구현하였다. 입력광섬유와 출력광섬유 사이의 광손실은 바이메탈에 부착된 반사거울의 기울어진 각으로 조절되어진다. 바이메탈은 열전소자(TEC)에 의해 가열되거나 냉각되며 이로 인해 구부림이나 펴짐으로 인하여 반사거울을 움직이게 한다. TEC에 가해지는 전기신호로 원하는 광감쇠량을 얻을 수 있다. 제작된 소자는 0.5 dB의 삽입손실, 0.2 dB의 편광의존성 손실 및 40 dB 이상의 가변변위를 보였다. 반응 시간은 약 5초였다.
