  • A dual band LNA is designed to set input matching and noise matching with source transmission feedback for wireless LAN applications. Some design techniques for the transmission line feedback of the dual band LNA have been developed with input and output design equations. The measured results shows close agreement with the simulated performance.

The Role of Sketches in Fashion Design -Focus on a Case Study of a Professional Designer's Process-

  • This study investigated the key role of sketches in creative fashion design by observing the cognitive process of idea development through a professional's design problem solving using the medium of hand sketching. The three-part semi-constrained design experiment with a professional designer, in which the participant designer was provided a source of inspiration image and asked to design a small collection of outfits, identified a fashion designer's idea development process as involving two phases of sketch processes: lateral and vertical transformation. Analysis of the video/audio recording and corresponding interviews validated lateral transformation in the designer's use of sketches to represent interpretation of the provided inspiration source. Through sketching, the designer transferred fuzzy ideas onto paper. Vertical transformation was observed through the designer's modification of previous ideas after reflecting on earlier sketches, with various ideas divided, manipulated, discarded, regrouped, and combined through sketching activities. The designer's sketching process is valuable design knowledge that facilitates the idea development process and ultimately triggers generation of creative ideas. Understanding it may benefit practitioners and educators.

  • The recent LCD TV market has made efforts to produce thinner, brighter, and clearer products, and experienced the rapid light source replacement from a line source of light CCFL to a point source of light LED. In particular, LGP(Light Guiding Panel) among key parts composing BLU(Back Light Unit) has limits of the injection molding technology as well as the mold design, its processing and manufacturing technology so that it is hard to produce large LGP over 40 inch. To produce large light-guide panels over 40 inch under the injection molding process, a mold 3D model was developed in the design process before manufacturing a mold and structure unification was processed through CAE analysis. As a result, it was possible to construct the mold design process, and it is expected to manufacture the optimized mold by applying the mold design and manufacturing process of large-scale rapid injection-compression molding that will be produced in the future.

  • 신발 제품은 기존의 발의 보호라는 기능적인 측면을 넘어서 오늘날 소비자의 주관적 감성을 바탕으로 하는 개성적이며 고급화된 측면이 강조되고 있으며, 이에 따라 기업의 제품개발 과정에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 디자인 개발 과정에서 새로운 아이디어 발상을 통한 신발 제품의 컨셉을 확립하기 위해서는 인간의 감성을 바탕으로 하는 다양한 이미지 소스를 필요로 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 제품에 대한 소비자의 욕구와 디자이너의 욕구를 충족시키기 위하여 건축 및 구조물, 운송기기, 자연물, 일반제품의 4개 분류에 대한 1000개의 다양한 이미지에 대하여 300명의 피험자를 대상으로 온라인상의 웹(web)을 통하여 감성공학적 평가를 수행하였다. 또한 평가된 데이터를 바탕으로 기초 통계, 인자 분석 및 다차원척도 분석에 따른 결과를 제공하는 D/B를 웹 상으로 구축하였다.

디자인 패턴지향 소프트웨어 개발 지원 도구 (Tool for Supporting Design Pattern-Oriented Software Development)

  • 디자인 패턴은 과거에 잘 정의된 설계정보를 활용하기 위한 목적으로 사용되어진다. 이러한 디자인 패턴의 활용은 객체지향 패러다임에서 재사용성과 개발시간의 단축 그리고 소프트웨어 품질의 향상을 가져온다. 그러나 이러한 디자인 패턴의 광범위한 활용에도 불구하고 대부분의 디자인 패턴 정보는 수작업에 의해 활용됨으로써 일관성이 없고 활용능력이 떨어진다. 또한 설계자에 의해 적용된 디자인 패턴정보는 소프트웨어에서 나타나지 않기 때문에 디자인 패턴에 대한 추적성에 대한 문제를 가진다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디자인 패턴지향 소프트웨어 개발 지원 도구를 제시한다. 이 시스템은 디자인 패턴의 관리와 소프트웨어 설계 및 자동화 소스코드 생성기능을 지원한다. 디자인 패턴 관리 기능은 존재하는 디자인 패턴을 저장관리 및 분석과 새로운 디자인 패턴 등록할 수 있는 기능을 담고 있으며, 소프트웨어 설계 기능은 UML 형태의 소프트웨어 설계기능과 디자인 패턴요소의 자동생성기능을 지원한다. 또한 이러한 설계정보를 이용한 소스코드 자동생성기능을 지원하는 소스코드 관리 기능을 가진다. 그 결과 기존의 CASE 도구에서 제시하지 못한 디자인 패턴요소의 추적성을 설계정보에 포함시킴으로서 소프트웨어 분석의 용이성을 제공하고 디자인 패턴 관리와 자동 소스코드 생성기능의 제공을 통해 보다 안정되고 효율적인 시스템을 구축할 수 있다.

도시 사용자 이동특성을 고려한 traffic source model의 설계 및 구현 (A design and implementation of the traffic source model considering user's moving characteristics in urban areas)

  • 이동통신 텔레트래픽 모델은 Network Traffic 모델과 Traffic Source 모델이라는 두 개의 하부모델로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 기지국이 설치되어 있는 지역 특성을 고려한 traffic source 모델을 제시하고, 이동통신 트래픽 시뮬레이터인 MobCall을 구현하였다. MobCall은 사용자 이동성을 각 지역별 차량 평균 속도와 수송분담율을 적용하고 있다. 구현된 MobCall을 이용하여 서울 도심 주거지역과 상업지역에서의 누적 발생 호 수, 교통량에 따른 핸드오프 율, 고속도로에서의 핸드오프 율, 그리고 호 점유 시간 변화에 따른 핸드오프 율을 결과로 제시하였다. MobCall은 기지국에서 사용자 호 패턴에 따른 동적 핸드오프 버퍼링과 같은 기능적 요소를 설계 단계에서 고려할 수 있다.

원예시설의 에너지 부하패턴을 고려한 축열식 지열시스템 설계법에 관한 연구 (Design method of heat storage type ground source heat pump system considering energy load pattern of greenhouse)

  • Purpose: Ground source heat pump system has been attracted in the horticulture industry for the reduction of energy costs and the increasing of farm income. Even though it has higher initial costs, if it uses in combination with heat storage, it is able to reduce the initial costs and operate efficiently. In order to have significant effect of heat storage type ground source heat pump system, it is required to design the capacity considering various conditions such as energy load pattern and operating schedule. Method: In this study, we have designed heat storage type ground source heat pump system in 5 cases by the operating schedule, and examined the system to find the most economic and having superb performance regarding the system COP(Coefficient of Performance) and energy consumption, using dynamic energy simulation, TRNSYS 17. Result: Conventional ground source heat pump system has lower energy consumption than heat storage type, but following the result of LCC(Life Cycle Cost) analysis, the heat storage type was more economic due to the initial costs. In addition, it has the most efficient performance and energy costs in the case of the smallest heat storage time.

철도교량 설계 지반조사를 위한 고분해능 수면 탄성파반사법의 응용 사례 (High Resolution Hydroacoustic Investigation in Shallow Water for the Engineering Design of Railroad Bridge)

  • To investigate the underground structure of shallow water, Han-river near Yangsou-Ri, high resolution hydroacoustic measurements were carried out for the engineering design of railroad bridge. The acoustic source was a Boomer with an energy of 90 to 280J and in a frequency range up to about 16KHz. The reflected signals were received by using both traditional hydrophones(passive element) and a specially devised receiver unit(active element) mainly composed of piezofilms and preamplifier. They are connected to the "SUMMIT" data acquisition system(DMT-GeoTec company), where the sampling interval was set to 1/32㎳. The source position was continuously monitored by a precision DGPS system whose positioning accuracy was on the order of loom. For the quality control purposes, two different source-receiver geometries were taken. That is to say, the measurements were repeated along the profile everytime depending on the different source energy(175J, 280J), the receiving elements(passive, active) and two different source-receiver geometries. It was shown that the data resolution derived from a proper arrangement with the active hydrophone could be greatly enhanced and hence the corresponding profile section caused by the regular data processing system "FOCUS" accounted excellently for the underground formation below the shallow water.w the shallow water.

패션관여도에 따른 TV미디어 스타 동조성과 정보원 연구 (A Study on the TV media star conformity and Information source by the Types of fashion involvement)

  • The purposes of this study were to categorize the fashion involvement of male and female college students in their twenties and to investigate the relationship of the types of fashion involvement to the conformity to TV media stars and information source. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, cluster analysis, cross-tabulation analysis. The results of this study are as follows; 1. Fashion involvement was categorized into four factors; pleasure, fashionableness, symbolism, and availability. The conformity to TV media stars was categorized into fashion conformity, star imitation, interests in TV programs, and interests in stars. Information source was divided into mass media, product information, and personal information. 2. There were significant differences in the conformity to media stars and information source by the different types of fashion involvement. 3. The results for the correlation between the conformity to TV media stars and information source showed that there were significant correlations with all of the factors.

Verification of a tree canopy model and an example of its application in wind environment optimization

  • In this paper, the method of introducing additional source/sink terms in the turbulence and momentum transport equations was applied to appropriately model the effect of the tree canopy. At first, the new additional source term for the turbulence frequency ${\omega}$ equation in the SST k-${\omega}$ model was proposed through theoretical analogy. Then the new source/sink term model for the SST k-${\omega}$ model was numerically verified. At last, the proposed source term model was adopted in the wind environment optimal design of the twin high-rise buildings of CABR (China Academy of Building Research). Based on the numerical simulations, the technical measure to ameliorate the wind environment was proposed. Using the new inflow boundary conditions developed in the previous studies, it was concluded that the theoretically reasonable source term model of the SST k-${\omega}$ model was applicable for modeling the tree canopy flow and accurate numerical results are obtained.
