마이크로 스테이지의 유한요소해석 (A Study on the Optimal Structural Design using FEM for Micro Stage)

  • For optimal design of micro stage, we measured the displacement of piezoelectric transducer that was based on voltage value. And the micro stage was analyzed using FEM with displacement data including voltage value of piezoelectric transducer. For verification of analysis results, the displacements were measured by using Laser-interferometer. And researchers confirmed to propriety on design of micro stage with FEM, we obtained 3.5% error rate between measurement results and analyzing results.

공동주택 시공VE 사례분석을 통한 설계VE 효율화방안 (The Efficiency Scheme of Design VE through the Case Studies of Construction VE for Apartments)

  • 본 연구는 공동주택 시공VE 사례조사를 통한 설계VE의 문제점을 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 설계VE의 효율화방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 국내 5개 건설사의 공동주택 시공VE 현황을 조사하였다. 또한 5개 건설사에서 수행한 공동주택 프로젝트를 대상으로 시공VE 적용 현황을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 목적과 방법에 따른 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 설계VE의 효율성 제고를 위해 시공VE 데이터베이스 구축 및 활용에 필요한 정보판리 제계를 제시하였다. 둘째, 시공VE 업무체계 개선을 통한 설계VE 수행 프로세스 개선안을 제시하였다. 셋째, 공통주택의 효율적인 설계VE 대상 선정을 위한 고려사항과 설계단계별 중점 VE대상을 제시하였다.

An innovative design method for nonlinear tuned mass damper

  • The commonly used TMD design method in the project assumes the TMD has pure linearity. However, in real engineering TMD will exhibit nonlinear behaviors. Without considering the nonlinearity of TMD, the control effect of the TMD that is designed by the linear design method, may be worse and even enlarge the structural response. In this paper, based on the previous study results of nonlinear TMD, the improved design method for engineering application is proposed. The linear design method and the improved design method are compared. Taking the best parameter obtained by the improved design method is less than or equal to 90% of that obtained by the original design method as the dividing line. The critical nonlinear coefficient, reaching which value the improved design method needs to be used, is given. Finally, numerical simulations on two engineering examples are conducted to proof the results.

  • Mahalanobis Taguchi-System (MTS) is a pattern information technology, which has been used in different diagnostic ap plications to make quantitative decisions by constructing a multivariate system using data analytic methods without any as sumption regarding statistical distribution. MTS performs Taguchi's fractional factorial design based on the Mahalanobis distance as a performance metric In this work, MTS used for analyzing automotive brake feeling system, which measured as a brake feel index (BFI) from 9 attributes. The automobile which has a good BFI score treated as a normal group for constructing Mahalanobis space. The results of this research show that two attributes (Pre load & Max deceleration) have a minus gain value and can be removed from further analysis. The difference of MD value between using all 9 attributes and just using significant attribute compared.

동특성을 고려한 스프레더용 충격흡수기의 시스템 변화에 따른 최적설계 (The Optimum Design according to System Variation of Impact Absorbing System for Spreader Considering Dynamic Characteristic)

  • On this study, we operated the dynamic response for impact load of impact absorbing system for spreader by the finite element analysis and showed respectively the spring constant and the damping coefficient which the reaction force by impact was the lowest value for three types impact absorbing system according to the change of system, also we presented the change of impact reaction force according to the spring constant and the damping coefficient. Additionally, among the three types impact absorbing system according to the change of system, the reaction force of model II was the lowest value and the next model which has higher value than model II was model Iand model III has the highest value in the three types.

스프레더용 충격흡수기의 시스템 변화에 따른 최적설계 (The Optimum Design of Impact Absorbing System for Spreader in System Variations)

  • 본 연구에서는 항만하역장비인 스프레더용 충격흡수기의 개발을 위해 스프링과 오일댐퍼로 구성된 세 가지 형태의 모델에 대한 동적응답을 유한요소해석에 의해 수행하였다. 또한, 세 가지 모델의 충격흡수기에서 피스톤의 제한된 행정을 정적변수로 하고 목적함수인 충격에 대한 반력이 최소가 되도록 최적설계를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 직렬식 2자유도계 모델의 반력이 가장 작게 나타났으며 그 다음으로는 1자유도계 모델, 병렬식 2자유도계 모델의 순으로 나타났다. 스프링상수와 감쇠계수의 변화가 반력에 미치는 영향을 확인하였으며, 최적설계 결과 각 모델에 대한 반력이 최소가 되는 스프링상수와 감쇠계수를 구하였다.

Conceptual Study of Brain Dedicated PET Improving Sensitivity

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a novel high sensitivity neuro-PET design. The improvement of sensitivity in neuro-PET is important because it can reduce scan time and/or radiation dose. In this study, we proposed a novel PET detector design that combined conical shape detector with cylindrical one to obtain high sensitivity. The sensitivity as a function of the oblique angle and the ratio of the conical to cylindrical portion was estimated to optimize the design of brain PET using Monte Carlo simulation tool, GATE. An axial sensitivity and misplacement rate by penetration of ${\gamma}$ rays were also estimated to evaluate the performance of the proposed PET. The sensitivity was improved by 36% at the center of axial FOV. This value was similar to the calculated value. The misplacement rate of conical shaped PET was about 5% higher than the conventional PET. The results of this study demonstrated the conical detector proposed in this study could provide subsequent improvement in sensitivity which could allow to design high sensitivity PET for brain imaging.

  • 건설시설물의 기능향상과 경제성을 제고하기 위하여 도입된 설계VE제도는 2005년 12월부터 100억 이상 건설공사에 확대 적용되고 있다. 그러나 VE가 형식적이고 결과 중심적으로 실시되고 있어 VE를 통한 가치창출의 극대화라는 VE본연의 목적을 달성하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 그동안 국내에서 실시된 턴키 및 대안입찰사업의 설계VE 사례를 통하여 설계VE의 성과를 분석하고 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for Project Management of Thermal Power Plant Construction

  • Engineering is a value-adding process applying knowledge and skills in the construction industry that includes the planning, feasibility study, project management (PM), front end engineering and design (FEED), detail design, procurement, construction, supervision, and operation. Among these engineering activities, FEED is defined as a comprehensive design practice in the early design phase focused on conceptual design and basic design. It is a particularly influencing area that determines the competitiveness of procurement and construction capability of construction firms (KNIN 2013). Nevertheless, previous studies in FEED have been limited to the design process, deliverable, or particular management technique (e.g. system engineering, collaboration, information etc.). In this context, the purpose of this study is to propose a comprehensive FEED business process structure for project management of thermal power plant construction projects encompassing the entire project life cycle. And an assessment methodology for FEED functions was developed. It is expected that the proposed structure of FEED functions and FEED evaluation methodology will contribute to improvement of competitive capability of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies.
