The Effect of Software Education Teaching Efficacy(SE-TE) of In-service Teachers on Backward Design based TPACK-P Teachers' Training Program (백워드 설계 기반 TPACK-P 교육 프로그램이 교사의 SW교육 교수효능감(SE-TE)에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop TPACK-P teachers' training program based on backward design included understanding of backward design principles in order to enhance teachers' professionalism of software education and informatics education. This teachers' training program was conducted for non-informatics teachers in 32 hours. As a results, teachers showed that post-test result of SE-TEBI was higher than pre-test and the t-test results showed that the total value of SE-TE was t=-3.541(p< .01), subscale PSETE was t=-3.559( p< .01) and SEOE was t=-2.258(p< .05). Therefore, we demonstrate that it helps improve the teaching professionalism of teachers. However, as a result of the test, teachers' PSETE tend to be lower in SEOE, which is interpreted as a lack of confidence in the lessons. Therefore, in further study, it is necessary to develop a teacher education program that can promote the confidence of teachers.

The Effect of Convergence Education by Flipped Learning & Design Thinking of Nursing Students (간호대학생에 적용한 플립러닝과 디자인씽킹 융합교육의 효과)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effects of an nursing process education program based flipped learning and design thinking for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The study employed a single-group pre-post design. A total of 41 nursing students were recruited from sophomore nursing students. Learning self-efficacy, problem-solving ability, empathy, and learning satisfaction were analyzed. Results: There were statistically significant differences in learning self-efficacy (t=-2.11, p=.041), problem-solving ability (t=-2.11, p=.042), and learning satisfaction (t=-6.40, p<.001). In empathy, but among the sub-categories, perspective-taking increased significantly from 24.56 to 25.41 (t=-2.11, p=.041). Conclusion: It is suggested to develop educational programs for nursing students applying various teaching and learning methods.

  • The Objectives of this research is to determine the effect of aerobic exercise program on health status and physical fitness in patients after the stem cell transplantation. This research design is one-group pretest-post test design. Sixteen subjects were selected from one university hospital in Seoul for the study, they was carried out aerobic exercise three to five times a week for 12 weeks. The period of data collection was from February to July, 2000. The collected data was analysed by descriptive analysis, paired t-test, content analysis SAS program was used for the statistical analysis. The results are as follows : 1. There was a significant improvement in the Physical functioning, Vitality and Reported change (t=2.39, p=0.03; t=2.35, p=0.03; t=2.58, p=0.02) but no change was observed in the Role physical, General health perception, Bodily pain, Social functioning, Role emotional and Mental health. 2. There was a significant improvement in the physical fitness (higher VO2 max, t=2.43, p=0.02; lower systolic pressure, t=-4.09, p=0.001; lower diastolic pressure, t=-3.43, p=0.002; lower pulse rate, t=-3.43, p=0.004; higher muscle sustaining power, t=2.79, p=0.015; higher muscle power, t=5.18 p=0.000; higher power of beginning, t=5.55, p=0.001; higher the sense of equilibrium, t=3.57, p=0.003; higher Hemoglobin, t=5.92, p=0.000; higher Hematocrit, t=5.38, p=0.000). Therefore, this study will provide a theoretical back ground for patients after stem cell transplantation to understand the importance of physical exercise and maintain physical exercise; and for other researches to refer to the results for exercise protocol of rehabilitation program.

Effects of a Taping Therapy on Shoulder Range of Motion and Pain, Physical Function and Depression of Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia (테이핑요법이 뇌졸중 편마비 환자의 견관절 운동범위와 통증, 신체기능 및 우울에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of taping therapy on the range of motion and pain of shoulders, physical functions and depression among hospitalized patients with stroke a geriatric hospital. Methods: The study design was a none equivalent control group pre-post test quasi-experimental design. The participants were 25 patients for experimental group and 25 patients for the control group. The period of this study was from March to July 2010. The twenty minute taping therapy was performed for twice a week for eight weeks. Results: The results showed that taping therapy was effective in range of motion shoulders (flexion: t=-5.81, p =.001, abduction: t=-3.69, p =.001) and pain of shoulders (rest: t=3.18, p = .003, movement: t=2.97, p =.005), grip (t=-3.22, p =.002) and balance (t=3.20, p =.002), and depression (t=3.24, p =.002). The variable of ADL (t=-1.99, p =.052) was not significant. Conclusion: The results of the taping therapy increased range of motion shoulders and grip and balance of physical functions, and decreased pain in shoulders and depression. The findings support that taping therapy can be used as a nursing intervention for stroke patients in practical nursing and communities.

Design of Vertically Adjustable Transition Piece of Concrete Gravity Based Substructure for Offshore Wind Turbine (수직도 조정이 가능한 콘크리트 중력식 해상풍력 지지구조물 연결부 설계)

  • Verticality problem during the installation process in offshore wind turbine substructures could degrade the safety of the whole structures. Therefore, in this paper, the design of vertically adjustable transition piece(T.P.), using a PS anchor and grout of anchor socket in concrete gravity based substructure(G.B.S.), was proposed. T.P. was designed for 5MW offshore wind trubine and can adjust up to $0.5^{\circ}$ in verticality, occurred during installation. The design plan for each members and design procedure for T.P. was proposed. Then based on the proposed design, actual design targeting sea of Jeju-island was carried out. Finally, by use of non-linear 3D Finite Element Analysis(F.E.A.), evaluation of design was performed. As a result of evaluation, by checking load transfer mechanism and stress of T.P, proposed design was considered safe up to $0.5^{\circ}$ of adjustment.

Effects of Planting Density on Growth Characteristics, Dry Matter Yield and Feed Value of Teosinte New Variety, "Geukdong 6" [Zea mays L. subsp. mexicana (Schrad.) H. H. lltis]

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of planting densities on the growth characteristics, dry matter yield, and feed value of "Geukdong 6" (a new variety of corn for feed). The experimental design was arranged in a randomized block design with three replications. Treatments consisted of six planting densities, 60 cm × 25 cm (T1), 60 cm × 30 cm (T2), 70 cm × 25 cm (T3), 70 cm × 30 cm (T4), 80 cm × 25 cm (T5) and 80 cm × 30 cm (T6). All treatments were sown on May 14, 2021, and the harvest was on October 3 (late flowering). Plant length and the number of tillers were the highest in T5 (p<0.05), but the number of leaves and stem diameter were the highest in T6 than in the other treatments (p<0.05). Leaf length, leaf width, and dead leaf were not significantly different among the treatments. Organic matter was highest in T6, and crude protein was highest in T5 (p<0.05). The ether extract was not significantly different among the treatments. Crude fiber, NDF, and ADF were highest in T2 with relatively higher planting density (p<0.05). Calcium and phosphorus were not significantly different among the treatments. TDN content was the highest in T3 (p<0.05). Sugar degree (Brix), fructose, glucose, dextran, isomerose, and inverted sugar were not significantly different among the treatment. Fresh yield, dry matter yield and TDN yield were higher in order of T6 > T5 > T4 > T3 > T2 > T1 (p<0.05). Relatively feed value was higher in order of T3 > T6 > T5 > T1 > T4 > T2 (p<0.05). Based on the above results, planting density could be recommended from 80 cm × 30 cm for efficient production of "Geukdong 6".

For the purpose of reducing development period about product and minimizing risk about design error, detail design and interference check are accomplished by FEM analysis and CAD software.

Effects of Simulation Learning Using SBAR on Clinical Judgment and Communication Skills in Undergraduate Nursing Students

  • This study aimed to determine the effects of simulation learning program using SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) techniques on undergraduate nursing students' clinical judgment and communication skills. A quasi-experimental research design (one-group pretest-posttest design) was used in this study. The participants included 88 students from a nursing college. There were statistically significant differences in clinical judgment, communication clarity, and communication confidence between pre-simulation learning using SBAR and post (t=10.32, p<.0001; t=6.05, p=<.0001; t=7.42, p=<.0001). The simulation learning program using SBAR was found to improve nursing students' clinical judgment as well as clarity and confidence in interprofessional communication.

Application and Evaluation of the Sheet Flow Channel for Water Quality Improvement in the Stream (하천 내 수질 개선을 위한 박층류 하도의 적용 및 평가)

  • This study investigated design factors and removal efficiencies of a sheet flow channel as natural type water improvement techniques in the stream. The channel was designed considering the design factors, then constructed and monitored in the test bed of the Osan stream's floodplain. Water lever, velocity, discharge, T-P, T-N, and NO3-N were monitored and the removal efficiencies and design formula were suggested. Overall efficiencies of T-P, T-N, and NO3-N range 10 - 20%, and they show consistent relations with residence times. Minimum velocity requirement is also suggested from the relation of algae conditions and velocities. Relation formula of residence time and removal efficiency will be applicable in the design and operation process of a sheet flow channel.

Effect of plate properties on shear strength of bolt group in single plate connection

  • A single plate shear connection, or shear tab, is a very popular shear connection due to its merit in ease of construction and material economy. However, problems in understanding the connection behavior, both in terms of strength and ductility, have been well-documented. Suggestions or design model for single plate connections in AISC Design Manual have been altered several times, with the latest edition settling down to giving designers pre-calculated design strength tables if the connection details agree with given configurations. Results from many full-scale tests and finite element models in the past suggest that shear strength of a bolt group in single plate shear connections might be affected by yield strength of plate material; therefore, this research was aimed to investigate and clarify effects of plate yield strength and thickness on shear strength of the bolt group in the connections, including the validity of using a plate thickness/bolt diameter ratio ($t_p/d_b$) in design, by using finite element models. More than 20 models have been created by using ABAQUS program with 19.0- and 22.2-mm A325N bolts and A36 and Gr.50 plates with various thicknesses. Results demonstrated that increase of plate thickness or plate yield strength, with the $t_p/d_b$ ratio remained intact, could significantly reduce shear strength of the bolt group in the connection as much as 15 percent. Results also confirmed that the $t_p/d_b$ ratio is a valid indicator to be used for guaranteeing strength sufficiency. Because the actual ratio recommended by AISC Design Manual is $t_p/d_b$ + 1.6 (mm) for connections with a number of bolts less than six and plate yield strength in construction is normally higher than the nominal value used in design, it is proposed that shear strength of a bolt group in single plate connections with a number of bolts equal or greater than seven be reduced by 15 percent and the $t_p/d_b$ ratio be limited to 0.500.
