FDM 3D Printer의 층간 충진율에 따른 강도변화 (Strength Variation with Inter-Layer Fill Factor of FDM 3D Printer)

  • Recently, FDM-type 3D printer technology has been developed, and efforts have been made to improve the output formability and characteristics further. Through this, 3D printers are used in various fields, and printer technologies are suggested according to usage, such as FDM, SLA, DLP, and SLM. In particular, the FDM method is the most widely used, and the FDM method technology is being developed further. The characteristics of the output are produced by the FDM-type 3D printer, which is determined by various factors, and particularly the perspective of the Inter-Layer Fill Factor, which is the volume ratio of the laminated material that exerts a direct influence. In this study, the Inter-Layer Fill Factor is theoretically obtained by presenting the internal space between each layer according to the laminate thickness as a cross-sectional shape model, and the cross section of the actual laminated sample is compared with the theoretical model through experiments. Then, the equation for the theoretical model is defined, and the strength change according to each condition (tensile strength of material, reduction slope, strength reduction rate, and output strength) is confirmed. In addition, we investigated the influence on the correlation and strength between laminate thickness and the Inter-Layer Fill Factor.

런던아이의 디자인 전개와 건립과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Development and Construction Process in British Airways London Eye)

  • This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influenced the construction of London Eye which was led by private groups, including characteristics in progress, differentiated value in design, the combination of technology and design, and construction costs. The results of this study were the followings. 1) London Eye provides a new construction method for a landmark in the downtown in that the architects became the clients of the project which might have been hoarded, procuring the construction costs and completing it by themselves. 2) London Eye presents a space utilization method where undeveloped spaces in the downtown are used in three-dimensions by erecting a structure on the river with a minimum land. 3) The process of design, production and erection is propelled the realization of technical intention design with one system and from at the initial stage, the participation of the engineer where the designer is equal with you must accompany. 4) London Eye is endowed with strong shape by a circle in design concept, which is the simplest geometrical figure, and it provides organic relationship between the past and the present by utilizing historical elements in various ways. 5) The construction was completed through four phases including idea phase, promotion phase, turn-key contract phase, and design-build phase. The most critical factor to the success is derived from the direct contact with Involved companies from the production phase. 6) In a project facing many challenges in terms of technology, the design-build method proves to be a more effective method than turn-key contract in that it may more allocate risks and enable coherent implementation of the core concept in design. The organization for the design-build method was composed of three phases including general affairs, responsible contracting by sector, and cooperative system by sector. Since that was a new concept structure, high-level contractors who hadn't had existing cooperative relationships with one another formed new cooperative relationship, while collaborating companies who had long cooperated led the responsible contracting and sub-cooperative system, which resulted in reduction of risks and time. 7) The major factors to change design were the design characteristics, derived from a technically great combination, and the opening time. 8) A new erection method was applied to London Eye, a structure that overcame the limitation in land and period, and the process of installation demonstrated that it is an important value for the construction of a landmark in the city. 9) In spite of many visitors and tremendous operational income, the factors that London Eye fails to free itself from debts include the construction costs expended double than expected, and interest burden to the investments, which occurred in the course of procuring the costs. Absolute limit in time increased the construction costs, resulting in being a great obstacle in the course of operation.

EPS Geofoam을 이용한 Soft Zone 적용방법에 따른 지중아치구조물의 하중저감에 관한 해석 연구 (Numerical Analysis of Load Reduction for Underground Arch Structures with Soft Zone Using Expanded PolyStyrene Geofoam)

  • 지하공간의 수요가 증가되면서 지중구조물의 기능을 저하시키는 상재하중 및 토피증가에 대한 구조물의 안정성 문제를 해결하기 위해 많은 연구자들이 고압축성 물질을 이용한 하중저감방법 연구를 진행해왔다. 본 논문은 하수관거에 작용하는 하중을 EPS Geofoam을 활용하여 경감시키는 하중저감공법을 아치구조물에 적용하고 그 효과를 증가시키기 위한 최적의 Soft Zone 적용방법에 대해 기술하고 있다. 지반구조 상호작용을 고려한 ABAQUS 유한요소해석을 통해 아치구조물의 거동 특성을 파악하고 4가지 EPS Geofoam 형식을 해석적으로 분석하여 최적의 적용형상을 확인하였다. 해석 결과를 토대로 선정된 최적 단면 형상에 대해 아치구조물의 라이즈비, 지간길이 변화를 해석변수로 고려하여 발생하는 토압감소율을 비교하여 적용성을 분석하였다. 수치해석에서 선정한 최적 Soft Zone를 적용한 아치구조물에 발생하는 토압이 평균 78% 감소되는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과에서 EPS Geofoam의 토압 경량화 효과와 이에 대한 지중아치구조물의 적용성 평가는 지중구조물 설계 시 경제적이고 합리적인 방법을 제공해 줄 것이며, 향후 심층 지하공간에 대한 활용성 증가에 도움이 될 것이다.

PCA와 LDA를 결합한 데이터 전 처리와 다항식 기반 RBFNNs을 이용한 얼굴 인식 알고리즘 설계 (Design of Face Recognition algorithm Using PCA&LDA combined for Data Pre-Processing and Polynomial-based RBF Neural Networks)

  • In this study, the Polynomial-based Radial Basis Function Neural Networks is proposed as an one of the recognition part of overall face recognition system that consists of two parts such as the preprocessing part and recognition part. The design methodology and procedure of the proposed pRBFNNs are presented to obtain the solution to high-dimensional pattern recognition problems. In data preprocessing part, Principal Component Analysis(PCA) which is generally used in face recognition, which is useful to express some classes using reduction, since it is effective to maintain the rate of recognition and to reduce the amount of data at the same time. However, because of there of the whole face image, it can not guarantee the detection rate about the change of viewpoint and whole image. Thus, to compensate for the defects, Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA) is used to enhance the separation of different classes. In this paper, we combine the PCA&LDA algorithm and design the optimized pRBFNNs for recognition module. The proposed pRBFNNs architecture consists of three functional modules such as the condition part, the conclusion part, and the inference part as fuzzy rules formed in 'If-then' format. In the condition part of fuzzy rules, input space is partitioned with Fuzzy C-Means clustering. In the conclusion part of rules, the connection weight of pRBFNNs is represented as two kinds of polynomials such as constant, and linear. The coefficients of connection weight identified with back-propagation using gradient descent method. The output of the pRBFNNs model is obtained by fuzzy inference method in the inference part of fuzzy rules. The essential design parameters (including learning rate, momentum coefficient and fuzzification coefficient) of the networks are optimized by means of Differential Evolution. The proposed pRBFNNs are applied to face image(ex Yale, AT&T) datasets and then demonstrated from the viewpoint of the output performance and recognition rate.

생체모방공학을 이용한 고속철도 차간 공간에 적용한 부엉이 깃 형상 크기에 따른 공력소음 저감 연구 (The Effect of Scaling of Owl's Flight Feather on Aerodynamic Noise at Inter-coach Space of High Speed Trains based on Biomimetic Analogy)

  • An analysis and design method for reducing aerodynamic noise in high-speed trains based on biomimetics of noiseless flight of owl is proposed. Wind tunnel testing and numerical CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation for the basic inter-coach spacing model are carried out, and their results compared. To determine the effect of scaling of the owl's flight feather on the noise reduction, two-fold and a four-fold scaled up model of the feather are constructed, and the numerical simulations are carried out to obtain the aerodynamic noise levels for each scale. Original model is found to reduce the noise level by 10 dB, while two-fold increase in length dimensions reduces the noise by 12 dB. Validation of numerical solution using wind tunnel experimental measurements are presented as well.

옥상녹화 적용확대를 위한 녹색건축인증제도 개선방안 연구 - 미국 LEED 및 영국 BREEAM의 비교·분석을 중심으로 - (Study on Improvement Measures of Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design for Expansion of Applying Green Roof - Focused on LEED in the USA and BREEAM in the UK -)

  • Green roof in Korea has been recognized as part of landscape area and local governments enacted municipal ordinance for supporting green roof thereby assisting part of expenses spent for green roof within a range of budget for buildings which are eligible for the green roof support of existing buildings. However, it is necessary to enforce a regulation of mandatory green roof for new buildings in order to expand green roof application and provide a variety of assistances such as subsidy payment, tax relief, and mitigation of floor area ratio-related regulation as done in other advanced nations. In particular, LEED(Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) in the USA applies additional point directly for green roof in terms of the reduction in heat island effects. For example, the following items are beneficial to have additional points: habitat preservation or restoration, external space, rainwater management, reduction in outdoor water usage, minimum energy performance, and optimum energy performance. In addition, the BREEAM(Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) in the UK specifies green roof as one of assessment items to be complied in terms of diversity of species. As such, LEED and BREEAM reflect direct and indirect effects of green roof on assessment criteria, which suggest a direction to green building certification criteria in Korea where only additional points are given for green roof according to soil depth.

N.D.S공법과 S.M.I공법을 이용한 지반차수 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impermeability of Ground using N.D.S and S.M.I methods)

  • 본 논문은 도시철도공사시 하저통과구간의 지반투수저하공법에 대한 연구결과이다. 본 연구에서는 하저지반의 투수저하공법들 중 특히 주입공법에 대하여 연구의 초점을 두었다. 하저지반에서 장 단기적으로 안전하게 지반수리거동을 도모하기 위한 주입공법의 설계기법에 대하여 제시하였다. 그래서 하저통과 터널공사시 안전시공과 완공 후 터널구조물의 장기적인 안전유지관리 측면에서 적용성이 양호하다고 판단되는 N.D.S (Natural Durable Stabilizer)공법과 S.M.I (Space-Multi-Injection Grouting)공법을 제시하였다. 이 두 공법의 실질적인 시공효과를 평가하기 위하여 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$지역에 건설예정인 하저통과 도시철도터널공사구간에서 시험시공을 실시하였다. 시험 시공기간 중에는 실내 및 현장에서 지반투수 특성시험을 실시하여 시공전후의 지반의 투수성 저하효과를 평가하였으며, 두 공법의 시험시공결과는 이론적인 배경과 함께 비교 분석하였다. 비교 분석결과, S.M.I공법의 경우 N.D.S공법보다 투수성 저하효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 주입공법에 있어서 시멘트 무기질계 재료보다는 비 알칼리성 실리카 졸계가 투수저하 효과를 더 크게 할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 끝으로 본 연구결과로부터 특히 철도터널설계시 하저지반의 투수성 저하효과 증대를 위한 주입공법 설계 기술발전에 공헌 할 것이다.

  • The anisotropy and shape of distributed piezopolymer actuator have advantages over isotropic piezo ceramic materials, since these features of PVDF can be utilized as another design variable in control application. This study is interested in the reduction of sound transmission through elastic plate into interior space by using the PVDF actuator. The plate-cavity system is adopted as a test problem. The vibration of composite plate and the sound fields through plate are analyzed by using the coupled finite element and boundary element method. Some numerical simulations are performed on sound transmission through elastic plates. To investigate the effects of anisotropy and shape of distributed piezopolymer actuator, various kinds of distributed PVDF actuators are applied in sound control simulation for isotropic and anisotropic plates. The PVDF actuators applied are different from each other in their shapes and laminate angles. The results of control simulation show that the control effectiveness of distributed PYDF actuator can be enhanced by using the coupling between shape of actuator and vibration modes of structure and the anisotropy of piezoelectric properties of PVDF.

실험비용을 고려한 적응적 실험설계법 기반 KF-16 피칭모멘트계수 모델링 (Pitching Moment Coefficient Modeling of KF-16 using Adaptive Design of Experiments with cost consideration)

  • KF-16의 1/33 축소 모형 공력 데이터베이스를 기반으로 풍동실험에 적응적 실험설계법을 적용하는 경우 실험의 정확도뿐만 아니라 풍동 실험에 소요되는 비용을 최소화할 수 있도록 추가 실험점 선택 방법에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 라틴방격법을 이용하여 초기실험점을 선택하였고, Gaussian Process를 통해 불확실성이 가장 크면서도 실험에 소요되는 비용이 상대적으로 적은 추가 실험점을 선택하였다. 공력계수 모델링은 가장 비선형성이 큰 피칭모멘트계수를 정확히 모델링 하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 실험 비용을 고려한 적응적 실험설계법을 적용한 경우, 기존의 적응적 실험설계 방법론에 비해 모델의 정확도와 실험에 소요되는 비용에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다.

저전력 비동기식 시스템 설계를 위한 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식 제안 및 검증 (Mixed Dual-rail Data Encoding Method Proposal and Verification for Low Power Asynchronous System Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 dual-rail data encoding방식을 적용하여 비동기식시스템을 설계할 때, 신호천이를 줄이고 소비전력을 줄이기 위하여 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜과 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜을 혼합한 dual-rail data encoding방식을 제안한다. 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 space state가 존재함으로 말미암아 신호 천이가 많이 발생하게 되고 많은 전력소비를 발생한다. 이론적으로 dual-rail data encoding 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜보다 빠르고 신호천이도 적지만 표준 라이브러리를 사용하여 설계할 수 없다. 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 Adder블록, Multiplier블록, Latch를 포함한 benchmark회로를 설계를 설계하였다. Benchmark회로를 이용하여 시뮬레이션해본 결과, 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding방식은 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜에 비해 35%이상 전력소비가 감소되는 결과를 얻었다.
