대학에서의 모바일 러닝을 위한 전자교재 개발 사례 연구 (A Study on eTextbook Development for Mobile Learning in a University)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the eTextbook and to explore the usability of the eTextbook for accelerating mobile learning in university. This study was primarily based on needs analysis of students, and eTextbook was created based on digital publishing through Adobe DPS. The major design principles of the eTextbook based on previous studies were as follow. First, eTextbook should deliver learning contents in a simple and systematic way. Second, eTextbook should induce student's flows by providing segmented learning contents and various learning resources. Third, eTextbook should expand information accessibility by providing a wide variety of multimedia functions. The development principles of eTextbook have been developed based on cognitive psychology. Location and function of the link or icon used for eTextbook have been developed on the basis of the principles of cognitive psychology. The main development principles were Coherence, Signaling, Redundancy, Segmentation, Multimedia principle, and so on. In order to examine usability of the developed eTextbook, experts' and learners' reactions were evaluated. The primary responses of learners are that the eTextbook increased the learning accessibility and provided various multimedia factors, and thus increased the learning flows in the class.

협력적 문제해결능력 신장을 위한 공학수학 수업모형의 설계원리 개발 (Development of The Design Principles for Engineering Mathematics Teaching Model for Improving Students' Collaborative Problem Solving Abilities In College)

  • 본 연구는 전문대학 공학계열 학생들의 수학 기초학습능력과 문제해결능력 신장을 위한 공학수학 수업모형의 설계원리를 도출하고 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 첫째, D 대학 디지털전자과의 교수 학습환경 분석과 함께 산업체 및 졸업생을 대상으로 한 요구분석을 실시하였고, 둘째, 요구분석 결과와 관련 선행연구를 바탕으로 공학수학 수강생들의 기초수학학습능력과 문제해결능력 신장을 위한 수업모형의 기반 설계이론을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 수업모형의 기반 설계이론으로는 (1) 수학 기본개념과 반복훈련을 통해서 수학 기초학습능력을 높이고, (2) 동료 학습자간 협력적 문제해결활동을 통해서 문제해결능력을 신장하고, (3) 학습자의 성찰을 촉진하고 학습자의 수업활동에 대한 교수자의 체계적인 점검과 즉각적인 피드백을 제공하고, (4) 최근 온라인과 모바일 환경에 익숙한 학습자들이 자기주도적으로 학습할 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 것이다.

  • 자연은 끊임없이 신비한 산물들을 대량생산해내는 만물의 공장이며, 그 산물들은 끊임없이 변화하고 있다. 또한 자연은 인간이 살아가는 환경을 둘러싼 미적 아이디어를 끊임없이 제공한다. 그러므로 인간은 자연을 대상으로 시각적 관찰을 통해 표현하고자 하는 자연스런 충동에 따른 조형을 추구하게 된다. 자연에 대해 인간이 얻을 수 있는 미적 체험은 그 대상에 대하여 시각적으로 연구할 때, 연상에 따른 형상들을 의식적으로 떠올릴 수 있게 해주는 미학적 변형의 원천인 것이다. 수없이 변화된 자연물과 마찬가지로 의식적으로 경험되는 인 공의 산업 생산물은 자연물과 구조적, 형태적 질을 공유하며 조형적 균형을 위한 의미를 갖게 된다. 자연을 관찰하여 질서나 원리를 통해 디자인에 적용시키고자한 시도는 바우하우스 이후 디자인의 한 방법으로서 부분적으로 실천되어 왔지만, 자연에 대한 연구과정이 서로 분산된 영역에서 진행되어왔다. 최근에 이르러서 이러한 연구는 관련 분야간에 복합되는 입장에서 매우 중요시되고 있다. 따라서 자연유기체의 다양한 범주들을 본 연구에서는 단지 부분적으로 제품디자인 측면에서 고찰하지만, 종합적으로 디자인학적 조형성과 자연유기체의 조형학적 접근은 기본적으로 중요한 것이라 생각하여 본 소고에서 고찰해 보고자 한다.

제약만족 알고리즘을 이용한 상호대화적 조종패널 배치 (Interactive Control Panel Layout Using a Constraint Satisfaction Algorithm)

  • An interactive and iterative control panel layout method based on the constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) technique was developed to generate an ergonomically sound panel design. This control panel layout method attempts to incorporate a variety of relevant ergonomic principles and design constraints, and generate an optimal or, at least, a "satisfactory" solution through an efficient search algorithm. The problem of seeking an ergonomically sound panel design should be viewed as a multi-criteria design problem and most of the design objectives should be understood as constraints. Hence, a CSP technique was employed in this study for dealing with the multi-constraints layout problem. The efficient search algorithm using "preprocess" and "look_ahead" procedures was developed to handle vast amount of computation. In order to apply the CSP technique to the panel layout procedure, the ergonomic principles such as spatial compatibility, frequency-of-use, importance, functional grouping, and sequence-of-use were formalized as CSP terms. The effectiveness of the proposed panel layout method was evaluated by example problems and the results clearly showed that the generated layouts properly considered various ergonomic design principles.

프뢰벨의 킨더가르텐 시스템이 근대건축과 디자인에 미친 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the influence of Froebel′s Kindergarten system upon the modern architecture and design)

  • This study was performed to search for the geometrical principles in modern architecture and design based on Frobel's educational idea and Kindergarten system. Especially, it studies on the geometrical principles of Froebel's building gifts and it's types, and then illustrates applied examples in modern architecture and design. As the architectural scope, the architecture and design theory of Frank Lloyd Wright and Bauhaus in early 20th century is analyzed. The conclusions of this study that starts these purpose are as follows. First, Froebel's educational theory is based on principles and rules which are perceived through the observation of nature, and Froebel's Kindergarten system consists of geometrical building gifts and categories of geometrical forms. Second, the characteristics of Froebel's building gifts are mathematical size, proportion, symmetry and the rules of spatial relation. Third, the influence of Froebel's kindergarten system on Bauhaus is that it based on the rational rules of $\bigtriangleup\square\bigcirc$ organized by geometrical basic forms as like Froebel's educational idea. And the influence of Froebel's Kindergarten system on Frank Lloyd Wright is that he used unit system, unity of space and structure and modular system as like the Froebel's building gifts.

주상복합지역 간판디자인의 시지각적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Visual Perception Characteristics the Sign Design in Mixed-Used Residential and Commercial Site)

  • Along with the development of creative building design ideas, how to effectively sign design concepts is also an important consideration on environmental design. The research goals established in order to solve these problems are to develop structures of sign design and analyze the cases of it. This paper explains structures of sign design in two ways: the compositional elements of signs and the relationships of visual perception. Among various relationships among sign design compositional elements this study uses relationships based on the Gestalt theory, the balance theory by Rudolf Arnheim, and the optical away theory by Gibson. The design principles investigated on the basis of the visual perception theories include the relationships between compositional elements and background space, visual weight balance, horizontal and vertical balances, grouping, and visual layout patterns

Inclusive Design in Digital Medical Interface Adaptation for the Elderly

  • Addressing challenges posed by an aging society, this study explores inclusive design orientations for digital medical interfaces catering to the elderly. The aim is to enhance inclusiveness and optimize interactive experiences within the medical system for senior users. Employing inclusive design concepts, the study analyzes characteristics through literature, focusing on functional purpose, interactive behavior, and emotional expression in digital medical interface design for the elderly. User research methods, including in-depth interviews and field research, generate user personas and behavioral analysis diagrams, organizing and categorizing pain points for elderly patients with chronic diseases. The study proposes principles for improving service touchpoints based on inclusiveness, optimizing pain point types and design processes in age-friendly services. These enhancements aim to help the elderly adapt to and integrate into a digital lifestyle.Incorporating inclusive design principles enhances the inclusiveness of service design, improving the service experience for the elderly. Age-friendly service design with inclusiveness serves as a valuable entry point for research targeting elderly populations and provides practical strategies for age-friendly medical service process design.

증강현실 기반 모바일 애플리케이션의 사용성 원칙 연구 -길찾기 서비스 중심으로- (Usability Principles for a Mobile Augmented Reality Application -Focus on Wayfinding-)

  • 메타버스의 급부상에 따라 모바일 증강현실 시장이 빠르게 성장하고 있다. 하지만, 모바일 증강현실 환경에서의 사용자 경험 향상을 위한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 증강현실 기반의 스마트폰 애플리케이션 사용성 원칙 개발을 목표로 한다. 연구 방법으로 1)모바일 증강현실의 특성을 파악하여 증강현실 애플리케이션의 사용성 요인을 파악했다. 2)증강현실의 사용성 사례 연구 분석을 통해 사용성 원칙을 수집 및 선별하고, 전문가 심층 인터뷰를 통해 사용성 원칙을 재범주화하여 14개의 사용성 원칙으로 개발했다. 3)개발된 사용성 원칙을 검증하기 위해 사용성 원칙을 바탕으로 평가 문항을 구성하여 사용성 평가 설문을 진행했다. 결과적으로 몰입성, 현존감, 효율성, 만족감, 유희성에서 유의미한 차이를 발견하였으며, 증강현실 기반 스마트폰 애플리케이션 개발에 유용한 사용성 원칙임을 검증했다. 본 연구는 증강현실 기반 모바일 사용성 원칙에 관한 기초연구라는 점에서 의의가 있다.

안전한 주거환경 조성을 위한 범죄예방 환경디자인 제안 - 부산시 주거지역 골목길 사례를 중심으로 - (A Proposal for Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design for Making Safe Residential Environment - Focusing on Alleys in the Residential Area of Busan -)

  • Recently, violent crimes against the socially disadvantaged have become more frequent and became serious social issues. In addition, compared to the past, the crime methods have become more diverse and intricate, which results in larger damages. For those reasons, the public are increasingly concerned about crimes and it is detrimental to the quality of life in general. Currently, safety in alleys and other residential spaces is protected only by mechanical and managerial functions such as CCTV and police patrol. Safe environment from crimes can be achieved only if there are environmental and spatial plans such as CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) principles. The purpose of this study is to propose a direction for spatial planning that can prevent crimes through environmental elements, by researching the spatial planning and current status of alleys and residential spaces from the viewpoint of CPTED. To do so, first, a review checklist was created based on five principles of CPTED and field surveys were conducted on the northern districts of Busan with high crime rates. Second, the problems were analyzed through the field surveys and checklist was classified based on five principles of CPTED to propose improvements for each item. Also, a computer graphic simulation was used to suggest a design proposal. We expect that the application of the basic environmental design principles and guidelines for CPTED will have the effect of creating crime-free and safe spaces in alleys and residential environment.

노인 사용자를 고려한 전자렌지의 유니버셜 디자인 (The Universal Design of Microwave Oven considering Old Persons)

  • Universal design is an approach to create environments and products that recognizes the diversity of users, regardless of their ability or age. Recently, old person and disabled person rapidly go on increasing in number. So, universal design concept becomes more and more important in product and environment, etc. In this study, we dealt with the universal design problem of microwave oven considering old persons. New design model for microwave oven was developed and evaluated using human factors approach. The principles of universal design was developed through literature survey and questionnaire survey for old persons, and then design alternatives were developed according to these principles. Two experiments were performed in this study. The purpose of the first experiment was to select final design alternative and the experiment was performed using rapid prototypes. The second one was a usability testing for the real model of final alternative. In this experiment, the real model was compared with the existing real product. As the result, the new design model was a little more excellent than the existing model in usability.
