저전력 및 설비간략화를 위한 선로전환기용 융설장치 설계 (Design of Improved Switch Point Heating System for Low Power and Simplified Equipment)

  • The turnout point system is installed to separate the main rail track from other tracks in rail load stations. It is also important to set up the switch point system to change the direction of the turnout point, to lead and change the direction of tracks. The switch point system can be negatively affected by heavy snow during winter seasons which can cause critical safety problems. Furthermore, the maintenance and repair of the conventional system is prohibitively expensive due to its complexity and high probability of failure. In this paper, an efficient switch point system is proposed which simplifies the equipment structure and lowers the cost for maintenance and repair, while improving safety and performance of the rail road system.

  • In this paper, a novel feasible real-time system was researched for a differential driven wheeled autonomous mobile robot so that the mobile robot can move in a smooth, safe and elegant way. Least Square Minimum Path Planning was well used for the system to generate a smooth executable path for the mobile robot, and the point-to-point tracking algorithm was presented as well as its application in arbitrary path tracking. In order to make sure the robot can run elegantly and safely, trapezoidal speed was integrated into the point-to-point path tracking algorithm. The application to guest following for the autonomous mobile robot shows its wide application of the algorithm. The novel design was successfully proved to be feasible by our experiments on our mobile robot Interactive Robot Usher (IRU) in National University of Singapore.

  • The optimal design of the rotor slot for inverter-fed induction motor was performed. The purpose of the paper is to verify the optimal point by experiment. A sensitivity analysis is performed, and the models near to an optimal point are selected. In the selecting process of models, 2 design variables with high sensitivity are selected out of 5 design variables. On the basis of the selected variables, 2 models near to the optimal point are decided. The tim e-step F.E.A and the experiment are performed. Optimal point and performance improvement of the optimal mode are verified.

  • Arithmetic unit speed depends strongly on the algorithms employed to realize the basic arithmetic operations.(add, subtract multiply, and divide) and on the logic design. Recent advances in VLSI have increased the feasibility of hardware implementation of floating point arithmetic units and microprocessors require a powerful floating-point processing unit as a standard option. This paper describes the design of floating-point multiplier for IEEE 754-1985 Single-Precision operation. Booth encoding algorithm method to reduce partial products and a Wallace tree of 4-2 CSA is adopted in fraction multiplication part to generate the $32{\times}32$ single-precision product. New scheme of rounding and sticky-bit generation is adopted to reduce area and timing. Also there is a true sign generator in this design. This multiplier have been implemented in a ALTERA FLEX EPF10K70RC240-4.

SWMM을 이용한 비점오염원 관리 저류지의 오리피스 설계기법 연구 (Detention Orifice Design for Non-point Source Management Using SWMM)

  • This study illustrates how to design and evaluate a non-point sources management detention pond using SWMM. In particular, special attention is given to the orifice design. In SWMM, orifice properties that need to be defined include its height above the bottom of the storage unit, its type, its geometry and its hydraulic properties. Among the various characteristics of orifice, the orifice hole size which is closely related to hydraulic retention time is focused in this study. Sensitivity analysis of orifice size in annual non-point sources reduction efficiency is carried out. In addition, a methodology which can be used to design a virtual junction in SWMM has been proposed to quantify water quality improvement triggered by the detention pond installation. As a result, it is recommended that a detention outlet should be designed to be about 2 to 3 days of hydraulic retention time.

  • Function approximation is one of the most important and active research fields in design optimization. Accurate function approximations can reduce the repetitive computational effort fur system analysis. So this study presents an enhanced two-point diagonal quadratic approximation method. The proposed method is based on the Two-point Diagonal Quadratic Approximation method. But unlike TDQA, the suggested method has two quadratic terms, the diagonal term and the correction term. Therefore this method overcomes the disadvantage of TDQA when the derivatives of two design points are same signed values. And in the proposed method, both the approximate function and derivative values at two design points are equal to the exact counterparts whether the signs of derivatives at two design points are the same or not. Several numerical examples are presented to show the merits of the proposed method compared to the other forms used in the literature.

공구 중심점의 변위 최소화를 위한 문형 공작기계의 크로스레일 개선 연구 (The Displacement Minimization of the tool Center Point by the Crossrail Structure Improvement of the Portal Machine)

  • General portal machine represents a distinct weak spot concerning their structural behavior because of long protruding structure components, such as saddles and rams. The weak point causes the deformation of the machine tool and consequently rises a severe machining error. The purpose of this study is to improve the structural design of crossrail in order to minimize it's distortion. Tool Center Point (TCP) was chosen as a reference point for evaluating the distortion effect of a crossrail and topological optimization was adopted as a method of structural design improvement. The displacements of TCP according to the machining positions were investigated by structural analyses for both of original crossrail design and the improved one. The comparing results showed that the displacement of TCP could be reduced about 55% maximum.

  • 부동소수점 시스템은 IEEE754 표준을 따른다. 부동소수점 방식의 가산기를 2의 보수를 사용하지 않고 1의 보수를 사용함으로서 간단히 나타낼 수 있다. 즉 이 시스템은 단지 반전을 함으로서 간단하고 빠른 연산을 수행할 수 있도록 하였다. 새롭게 설계된 가산기의 연산속도 향상을 위해 53bit의 캐리 선택 가산기를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 연산속도 향상을 위한 고성능의 효율적인 마이크로프로세서 시스템을 위한 부동소수점 가산 장치를 설계하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 MT30 가스터빈 엔진의 성능 모델링을 수행하였다. 설계점을 결정하고, 상용 프로그램에서 제공하는 스탠다드 맵을 이용한 스케일링 기법으로 구성품 성능 맵을 생성하였다. 생성된 성능 모델로 탈-설계점 성능 해석을 수행하여 그 결과를 엔진 성능 덱 데이터와 비교하였다. 한 점 스케일링 기법으로 생성된 성능 모델이 성능 덱 데이터와 다소 오차가 있음을 확인하고, 성능 모델의 정확성을 높이기 위한 보정이 필요하다고 판단하였다. 따라서 고압 스풀 회전수에 따른 작동점(탈-설계점) 별 스케일링 계수를 구하는 방식으로 보정 성능 모델을 생성하여 탈-설계점 해석을 수행하였다.
