연직하중을 받는 케이블의 형상결정을 위한 반복계산법의 개발 (A Study on an Iteration Method for the Determination the Initial shape of the Cable)

  • In the design of cable structures it is necessary to know the initial shape of the cable. The geometrical condition and the equilibrium equation of the cable are needed. Because the equilibrium equation is expressed by the simultaneous equations of second order, it is almost impossible to solve with elimination method. To solve it, we must use iteration method. In this study, the algorithm which can reduce the number of iteration and calculate shape of the cable is developed and compared with measured data through the laboratory test and the results represent good agreements.

  • 본 논문에서는 3선 가입자 선로상에서 전-이중 데이타 전송시 발생하는 반향을 제거하기 위해서, 기존의 TDL(Tapped Delay Line) 구조와는 다른 반향제거기를 제안하였다. TDL 구조의 반향제거기는 탭 수만큼의 승산기를 이용하여 병렬처리 동작을 수행하는 반면에 본 논문에서 제안한 방식은 단지 2개의 승산기를 이용하여 순차적인 동작을 수행한다. 따라서, 기존의 반향제거기에 있어서의 집적화의 어려움을 개선한 방식이라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 사용한 반향제거 알고리즘으로는 SIA(Stochastic Iteration Algorithm)을 사용하였고 baseband modem에 알맞는 신호율을 처리하도록 설계하였다.

A Study on the Development of a MOOC Design Model

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a MOOC design model that would improve the current practice of MOOC development in Korea by specifying easy-to-use course development procedures and guiding strategies. Following Richey and Klein (2007)'s conceptual model development procedure, the first step was to perform critical review of relevant literature and observe typical MOOC development processes. As a result, the initial model was developed. The second step was to conduct the expert review with five educational technology and MOOC researchers to secure the internal validity of the model. Based on the experts' suggestions, the model was revised and once again reviewed by the same experts. This process resulted in the development of the 2nd version of model. The third step was to carry out external validation research in order to test the effectiveness, efficiency, and usability of the model. A basic model may be confirmed or corrected based on examination of its results. Consequently, the model was elaborated as the final model. In the final model, 6 procedural phases and 9 specific steps were included. The six procedural phases are: Analysis (1st Iteration), Design, Development (Course Development), Implementation, Evaluation, and Analysis (2nd Iteration), a slight variation of ADDIE model. The specific steps include: 1) Goal Setting, 2) Environment Analysis, 3) Content Design, 4) Style Design, 5) Course Development, 6) Implementation Plan, 7) Course Implementation, 8) Summative Evaluation, and 9) Need Reflection. The study concluded with suggestions for further research and application of the MOOC design model.

동등하중함수를 이용한 $\mu$-최적제어기 설계 ($\mu$optimal controller design using equivalent weighting function)

  • In this paper, we propose a new .mu.-controller design method using an equivalent weighting function $W_{\mu}$(s). The proposed mehtod is not guaranteed to converge to the minimum as D-K and .mu.-K iteration method. However, the robust performance problem can be converted into an equivalent $H^{\infty}$ optimization problem of unstructured uncertainty by using an equivalent weightng function $W_{\mu}$(s). Also we can find a .mu.-optimal controller iteratively using an error index $d_{\epsilon}$ of differnce between maximum singular value and .mu.-norm. And under the condition of the same order of scaling functions, the proposed method provides the .mu.-optimal controller with the degree less than that obtained by D-K iteration..

  • In the recent day, fatigue life prediction techniques play a major role in the design of components in the ground vehicle industry. Full scale durability testing in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structures of the automotwe vehicle. Component testing is part~cularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, multi-axial road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the algorithm and software to realize the real road profile are developed. The validity of the software are verified by applying the belgian road, the city road, the highway, and the gravel road. The results of the above experiment show that the real road profiles are realized well after loth iteration.

  • To reduce stress concentration around the intersection between a spherical pressure vessel and a cylindrical nozzle under various load conditions using less material, the optimization for the distribution of reinforcement has researched. The ranked bidirectional evolutionary structural optimization(R-BESO) method is developed recently, which adds elements based on a rank, and the performance indicator which can estimate a fully stressed model. The R-BESO method can obtain the optimum design using less iteration number than iteration number of the BESO. In this paper, the optimized intersection shape is sought using R-BESO method for a flush and a protruding nozzle. The considered load cases are a radial compression, torque and shear force.

  • The gas spring is a hydropneumatic adjusting element, consisting of a pressure tube, a piston rod, a piston and a connection fitting. The gas spring is filled with compressed nitrogen within the cylinder. The filling pressure acts on both sides of the piston and because of area difference it produces an extension force. Therefore, a gas spring is similar in function compare to mechanical coil spring. Conversely, optimization is a process of finding the best set of parameters to reach a goal while not violating certain constraints. The AMESim software provides NLPQL (Nonlinear Programming by Quadratic Lagrangian) and GA (genetic algorithm) for optimization. The NLPQL method builds a quadratic approximation to the Lagrange function and linear approximations to all output constraints at each iteration, starting with the identity matrix for the Hessian of the Lagrangian, and gradually updating it using the BFGS method. On each iteration, a quadratic programming problem is solved to find an improved design until the final convergence to the optimum design. In this study, we conducted optimization design of the gas spring reaction force with NLPQL.

  • 플랜트 설계는 매우 다양한 공학 분야가 참여하는 고도로 복잡한 시스템이다. 이 방대한 시스템에 관여된 각 서브시스템은 각기 다른 서브시스템과 수시로 정보를 주고 받으며 작업을 반복하게 되는 복잡한 관계를 형성한다. 이런 복잡한 프로세스에서 체계적인 설계관리는 성공적인 플랜트 설계를 위한 필수적인 요건이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Design Structure Matrix를 이용하여 플랜트의 최적 설계 협업 체계를 도출하였다. 이를 위해 전문가 설문 및 워크샵을 수행하여 플랜트 설계의 주요 업무, 설계 서브시스템, 설계요소, 관련설계요소, 그리고 그들간의 관계를 파악하였다. 효율적인 분석을 위해 Visual Basic Application과 Matlab을 이용하여 자동화된 분석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 제안된 방법과 프로그램을 소각로 설계 시스템에 적용한 결과 유효한 주요 반복작업 그룹들을 도출할 수 있었다. 도출된 결과물은 설계 협업 전략 수립에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • This study describes process and method to establish concurrent and/or sequential schedule planning for the system design process of the EIA632 standard. For this purpose, the study suggest Process and method that are context analysis of standard process, interface definition from activity decomposition, integration of related activities, and definition of concurrent and/or sequential work flow. The proposed process and method will contribute to minimize time loss that is emerged from activities iteration.

  • This paper will describe integrated system design process and its application. Integrated design process is performed activities concurrently and sequentially for product development. For a group of activities to be truly integrated, the flow of deliverables among them must be well defined, and committed to. For this purpose, the study will suggest procedure that is executed context analysis of standard process, interface definition from activity decomposition, integration of related activities, and definition of concurrency & sequential activities flow, This procedure and method will contribute to minimize time loss that is emerged from activities iteration by not definitely definition of activities interface.
