The purpose of this study is to show inherent and differentiated beauty by designing costume knitwear using Dancho patterns representing peculiar beauty, thus expressing free and convenient knitwear in the modern sense for women with the image of reasonableness and elegance, proposing knit design using high-class materials for satisfying the demand for the highest. With regard to expression technique of works, I selected computer Jacquard method to indicate effective comparison effect of expression material and made expression with $12{\sim}14$ gauge as base by using computer knitting machine. Through above-mentioned research process and design using Knit CAD system, I obtained following conclusion. First, it is possible to express variously and widely traditional patterns by making the most of the beauty of the orient and by recomposing the patterns of plant patterns representing "feminine image". Second, it is possible to widely represent the sense you can feel from knit by expressing variously diversity of knit structure and Jacquard knitting structure and gauge. Finally, it is possible to express designs more freely and imaginably by using computer Knit CAD system instead of actual knitting of various knit expression technique and materials application.

Each human era has its own unique architectural embodiment of religious philosophy at the time. Though, many modern religions have developed their own architectural expression based upon each own religious doctrine, one of the main native Korean religions, Won-Buddhism, has not developed its own proper architectural expression yet. So, the goal of this research is to find the probable architectural design methods for Won-Buddhism doctrines. 1) The history of Won-Buddhism architecture is comparatively analyzed to find the architectural trend of Won-Buddhism. 2) Modern religious architectural cases are analysed and compared between plastic expression and spatial expression types. 3) Won-Buddhism doctrines are analysed to find key characteristics to be used as architectural design concepts and method. Based upon analyses, the main characteristics of Won-Buddhism doctrine are synchronicity, circularity, and liminality, which are found to be similar to the trans-boundary characteristics of contemporary architecture. In the future, more study on these characteristics and how they are materialized, the probable design methodology for Won-Buddhism Doctrines can be proposed.

The food and beverage spaces of modern industrial society have transformed from a simple space for meals into a space of culture, communication and experience as society becomes more complex and diverse along side economic growth. An interior designer who is rapidly rising on this flow of change is Yukio Hashimoto. While working for interior design firm Super Potato, which highlights food and beverage spaces, he was much affected by the expression methods of representative designer Takashi Sugimoto, who makes use of natural elements. By using these expression methods that make use of natural elements in his own creation of spatial ambience and elements of experience and by adding his own differentiated expression methods, he emphasizes an effective spatial expression for food and beverage spaces. The design characteristics of Yukio Hashimoto's food and beverage spaces are as follows. First natural elements like light and water are recreated as memories of nature after being established through a methodology that allows these elements to penetrate his own thoughts. Second, he pursues a hybrid design through the harmony between past tradition and current expressive techniques. Third, he expresses objets of light through a formative sense of shape expressed with light.. Fourth, he establishes an axis in the interior space by light and structure and endows a strong directionality that induces symmetric characteristics, gaze, and movement.. Fifth, he installs lights at the bottom of weighty materials and expresses a sense of floating by light. Sixth, he uses an illusion technique that makes use of the ambiguity and depth of space resulting from reflecting materials like mirrors. The study hopes that such design expression characteristics of food and beverage spaces can be used as data for interior designers to apply and develop a new design vocabulary.

In the face of the new dimension of the developed technology $L{\acute{a}}szl{\acute{o}}$ Moholy-Nagy, a master of 'the Bauhaus Akademie', made an effort to constitute the integrated life of the intellectual and the emotional by translating the experiences of the new technology Into the emotional language and the cultural realities. As an artist who criticized in the constructivist ethos the conception of the image as the imitation and brought the Image movements into relief Moholy-Nagy groped for a new expressive idea that can be called as 'the idea of the non-representational spatial expression' in which the expressive elements interact one another. His idea of the non-representational spatial expression that is made up of the pure forms of the nature, the direct colors and the spatial elements is oriented to incorporate the modern realities, i.e. the space experiences as the complicated sensory workings and the new technology as the measure of the human thinking, and further to see where they will move to. This study is on the one hand purposed to explicate the fundamental idea of the non-representational spatial expression that was poorly illuminated in spite of its importance in the respects of the design and art history, on the other to re-actualize the implications of the space-design which are contained in it.

The purpose of this study is to examine application possibility as the inhabitants educational program for community design workshops of regional linking cooperation project "Sejong healing road 100 project". As a results follows : First, It can confirm inhabitants ability reinforcement through administration of the 8-week educational program, and a participation rate is important in it. Second, 'The tool of inhabitants opinion expression using a Post-it' is easy as a tool of the workshops, and the effect improves if It use a drawing together. Third, 'The tool of inhabitants opinion expression using figure card' is the most effective as expression of the inhabitants intention as a tool of the workshops, but preparations process is complicated. Moreover, for the inhabitants participation in regional linking cooperation projects, the development system of a more systematic inhabitants intention expression is necessary.

The purpose of this study is to analyze expression characteristics and directing effects for the use of technology in stage costumes and to explore future directions by comparing technology fashion. To this end, the study first investigates technology fashion and identifies its expression characteristics through previous research. Second, it examines the use of technology in stage costumes and studies expression characteristics and directing effects through cases. Third, by comparing technology fashion with stage costumes, it explores future directions for integrating technology into stage costume design. Study methods, include a literature review accompanied by a case study. The findings are as follows: First, the expression characteristics of technology fashion is that digital technology is applied to variable molds according to interaction with the wearer to virtually realize the fluid dematerialization of fashion. Second, the expression characteristics of stage costumes using technology mirror those of technology fashion. However, the visual information expressed through the use of technology was maximized by harmonizing with various stage arts the stage space was expanded to a virtual space. Third, as a result of comparing each other, there is a difference in the objects that cause interaction, so efforts of technology development are required so stage costumes can interact with the performers' acting.

This research is aimed at examining the characteristics of the fun fashion design in the emotional consumption era from a broad perspective, and it is meaningful in the sense that it presents the ideal direction for the development of fashion products that can satisfy the changing desires of the consumers today and tomorrow. For this, the documentary study and practical case study have been executed. This paper examined the two aspects of the fun definition when it comes to the characteristics of the fun fashion design that are manifested in the emotional consumption era. First, fun fashion design that is presented by designers from the consumers' position manifests in the form of deviation from the every day life rules, use of the child-like expression mediums and unexpected turning, fun fashion design when it pertains to the deviation from the every day life rules is expressed freely, adopts object and forms it, and mixes in the alien elements, fun fashion design when it pertains to the use of child-like expression element is manifested in the form of child-like expression, child-like expression of the form, child-like drawing, introduction of the child-like object, character and graffiti. Moreover, fun fashion design of the unexpected turn is expressed with illusion and storytelling. Next, fun fashion design from the participants' position is a design created by the active participation of the consumers. As the producers who participate actively in the product design process, design is modified by the design of participation and users so that the users can enjoy it. Likewise, it is manifested in the form of design of participation.

This study was begun on the premise that architecture which has the definite disposition for survival even in the urban, social structure of that uncertainty and constructs specialty is biomorphic architecture. This study was made with the following four specific purposes largely. First, through the theoretical investigation of biomorphic architecture that appears in the tendency that mordern architecture develops into the architecture of do-stereotype and new form, its meaning and definition are examined. Second, the analysis of biomorphic architecture is investigated and the generation causes are applied architecturally and generate biomorphic architecture is made. Third, by analyzing the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, the meaning and possibility of architecture, which expresses the vitality of organism, as the material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture, are investigated. The material expression characteristics was deduced through the generation background of biomorphic architecture. The material expression characteristics of biomorphic architecture is the various modeling by smart-network and the response system of sensitivity poly-logue.

The purpose of this study is to grasp musical expression in the Monastery of La Tourette, an architectural work produced by an architect, Le Corbusier and a musician, Iannis Xenakis based on a musical piece, Metastasis. The results of the study on musical expression in the Monastery of La Tourette, which was done through analysis of correlation in expression between architecture and music, and spatial characteristics of this monastery, are as follows: First, in modern architecture and music, the expression of the space-time continuum concept is emphasized. Second, the architectural characteristics in this monastery that constitute musical expression are the Modular, confliction and fluidity in composition, plastic (acoustic) shape and symbolic shape. Third, these architectural characteristics are found to be expressed as counterpoint, alteration, temporality, acoustics and canon of music.

The purpose of this study is to dlassify into types of traditionality reflected in modern Korean houses in 1990's designed by architec Modern houses were divided into five types through qualitative analysis. Analysis is categorized into three parts, space-pl structural elements ornamental elements. Characteristics of each type were defined as 'Indicative expression of the traditionalit', 'Decorative expression of the traditionality', 'Eclectic expression of the traditionality', 'Contemporary expression of the traditionalit', 'Abstract expression of the traditionality'. The results showed that 'Contemporary or Abstract expression of traditionality(type IV and V) were major types of modern Korean houses expressed traditionality. This reveals that in order to apply traditionality to the modern houses, simplifed and sbstracted for were preferred comparing with the direct imitation of traditional forms.
