핵심정보 중심의 건강증진 및 보건교육 메시지 구성 원리: Fuzzy Trace Theory의 함의 (Gist-based Message Design Principles for Health Promotion and Public Health Education: Explication of Fuzzy Trace Theory)

  • Objectives: This paper aims to explain principles of gist-based health message design and discuss their implications for health promotion and public health education. Methods: After reviewing Reyna and Brainerd's Fuzzy Trace Theory(FTT), the authors explicate how to transform FTT into a practical guidance of health message design. Our explication is based upon FTT's reasoning that human intuition, rather than analysis, takes a primary role in message recall and comprehension, followed by judgment and decision making. We expect gist-based message design to be appropriate to serve such intuition. Results: Four principles of gist-based message design are offered: (1) provision of qualitative, as well as quantitative, information of gist, (2) inclusion of visual images corresponding to gist, (3) use of effective message formats to emphasize the gist (4) inclusion of relevant reasons and contextutal information. Conclusions: Gist-based message design has theoretical and practical implications for health promotion, specifically in the field of public health education, the press and governmental communication toward the public, and provider-patient communication in medical settings.

  • 4차 산업혁명과 21세기 지식정보사회의 혁신적인 변화에 발맞춰 2015 개정 교육과정이 적용된 교육 현장은 다양한 교수학습 방법을 고민해야 하는 상황에 직면해 있다. 그중 미래 교육에 적합한 플립러닝을 적용한 교수설계에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으나, 실제 음악과 교육에서 플립러닝을 활용한 수업에 대한 연구는 드문 실정이다. 현재 초등 교육 현장에서 이루어지고 있는 일반적인 음악과 수업에서는 해당 차시에 목표로 하는 음악적 기능을 익히기에 부족한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 설계개발 연구 방법론을 활용하여, 체제적 교수설계 모형인 ADDIE 모형을 바탕으로 플립러닝을 적용한 초등학교 음악과 수업을 위한 교수설계 모형을 개발하고 타당화를 진행하였다. 개발된 교수설계 모형을 바탕으로 각 단계별 주요 사항에 대해 제시하였으며, 개발 과정에서의 주요 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

Preservice Biology Teachers' Learning to Teach Science through Science Methods Courses

  • This study tracked the changes of preservice biology teachers' pedagogical knowledge along with science teaching efficacy throughout sequentially developed science methods course I and II over two consecutive semesters. Two courses, science methods course I and II, aimed these preservice teachers to discuss the notion of science teaching with teaching and learning theories, to learn science instructional models, to design lessons utilizing science instructional models, and to eventually implement microteaching. The preservice teachers were mainly engaged in cooperative instructional planning activities through science methods course I, and engaged in cooperative microteaching activities through the science methods course II. This study revealed that preservice teachers successfully developed pedagogical knowledge and science teaching efficacy after two science methods courses. The science methods course I where cooperative instructional planning activities occurred helped the preservice teachers to improve pedagogical knowledge but not science teaching efficacy. Based on their pedagogical knowledge development, then, these preservice teachers increased science teaching efficacy belief after completion of the science methods course II.

의학교육의 코호트 구축을 위한 종단 데이터베이스 설계방안 연구 (Designing a Longitudinal Database for Cohort Construction in Medical Education )

  • Longitudinal data can provide important evidence with the potential to stimulate innovation and affect policies in medical education and can serve as a driving force for further developments in medical education through evidence-based decisions. Tracking and observing cohorts of students and graduates using longitudinal data can be a way to link the past, present, and future of medical education. This study reviewed practical methods and technical, administrative, and ethical considerations for the establishment and operation of a longitudinal database and presented examples of longitudinal databases. Cohort study design methods and previous examples of research using longitudinal databases to explore major topics in medical education were also reviewed. The implications of this study are as follows: (1) a systematic design process is required to establish longitudinal data, and each university should engage in ongoing deliberation about this issue; (2) efforts are needed to alleviate "survey fatigue" among respondents and reduce the administrative burden of those conducting data collection and analysis; (3) it is necessary to regularly review issues of personal information protection, data security, and ethics regarding the survey respondents; and (4) a system should be established that integrates and manages a longitudinal database of medical education at the national level. The hope is that establishing longitudinal data and cohorts at individual medical schools will not be a temporary phenomenon, but rather that they will be well utilized at the national level to innovate and implement ongoing changes in medical education.

봉제기술자(縫製技術者)를 통해서 본 대구시(大邱市) 숙녀복업계(淑女服業界)의 현항(現況) (A Study on The Manufacturing Industries of Women's Wear in Taegu Through the Sewing Technicians)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the basic material for the competitive, high-quality products by analyzing employees' attitude toward their job and some factors which influence the enhancement of productivity, education of workers, and facilities. This project was mainly conducted the conditions of women's wear manufacturing industries in Taegu by interviewing 143 employees in the sewing department. The result of this dissertation can be summarized as follows; 1. When it comes to the division of task in the sewing department, one team is composed of chairpersons (33.5%), assistant members (27.4%) and sub-assistant members (26.6%). The inspection of commodities as well as the enhancement of work on ironing for elaboration was divided as completion (12.6%) and finally the forms of task were made up of design sampling team (49%) and contracting team (51%). 2. Among the needle workers, as many as 60% employees had received technical education, which was by means of being passed down from the predecessors (81.6%). In terms of the period of education, from 2 to 5 years topped the list. The contents of education comprise patterning, sewing (65.2%) and ironing (20.3%). 3. The department of design takes charge of the report on working directions up to 88.2% and the working directions were used by 69.9 % of technicians. The directors of working conditions and methods were chiefs of designing department (37.7%) and those of sewing department (30.8%). The factors of defective goods were low-quality materials (50.0%), the deficiency in skills of workers. In terms of methods for preventing defects, technical education of workers, standardization of task and investment for factory automation were suggested. 4. As for their perception of present work, most of employees (80%) look upon it as a way of earning a living and 11% of them wanted to derive many things from their work. 59.2% of workers were satisfied with the product. When it comes to the incentive system provided by company, 67.0% responsed that it was not bad, and 23.9% evaluated it as 'satisfactory'.

산학협력과 설계 교육 중심의 창의적 공학교육 발전 방안 (An Approach for Development of Academia-Industrial Cooperation and Design Education-Centered Creative Engineering Education)

  • 4차 산업혁명의 시대를 맞아 인공지능, 빅데이터 및 사물인터넷 등의 기술을 다룰 융합적 창의력을 갖춘 고급 공학인력을 양성할 필요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 4차 산업시대를 위한 융합적 창의력을 갖춘 실무형 공학인재를 육성하는데 필요한 산학협력을 기반으로 하는 설계 중심의 새로운 공학교육 방안들을 제시한다. 기존의 공학교육혁신 활동의 장단점을 분석하고 교육 제도 및 교육환경의 요구조건에 대해 경험을 바탕으로 실제적인 필요 요소를 제시한다. 산학 협력 환경 마련을 위한 방안, 종합설계실 구축과 설계교육 운영 방안, 산학협력 기반의 교육 운영 방안, 종합설계 관리를 위한 공학인증 운영 시스템 구축 방안들을 다룬다. 특히 정부의 지원과 협력 방안에 대해서 기존의 활동에 대한 분석과 함께 새로운 역할을 제시하며 혁신적 공학교육의 핵심 요소인 효과적인 설계 교육을 학습자 중심의 교육방법론을 접목하여 수행하는 방법에 대하여 논한다. 제안하는 방안들은 대부분 저자의 교육 현장에서 그 필요와 효과가 검증된 것들이다.

  • In modern socio-cultural conditions, the requirements for the quality of professional training of graduates of higher educational institutions are increasing. This issue has become especially acute with the advent of pandemic conditions. The ability to apply the existing competencies in the situation of challenges of the 21st century to solve complex social and professional problems is an important criterion for the quality of higher education. Modern professional art education is undergoing many reforms and transformations. Particular attention is paid to innovative teaching methods, thanks to which future specialists experience the breath of innovative education. This issue is especially relevant during the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since students of creative specialties must also have certain competencies, within the framework of the educational process, the competence-based approach to teaching plays a key role, is the methodological basis in the system of modernization of higher professional art education. Thus, the main task of the study is to analyze the process of formation of professional competence among students of art institutions of higher education in the context of COVID-19. As a result of the study, the main aspects of the process of formation of professional competence among students of art institutions of higher education in the context of COVID-19 were investigated.

Role-playing을 적용한 가구 디자인 수업 개발 사례 연구 (Study on Development Process of Furniture Design Class by Applying Role-playing)

  • In design education enhancement of design methodology and creativity can be stimulated through taking on several creative roles within an interactive and enjoyable studio course. To overcome blocks to creativity I developed a intermediate course, 'Furniture Design Studio I' at the sophomore advanced level course. Inventive thinking and a sense of aesthetic are the essential element for all studnets to grow as a professional designer. And to develop their creative thinking skill I introduced a system that utilizes each element into a role-playing type of projects. Students will be able to demonstrate their underlying creativity in a more open environment. Instead of stressing to solve a lot of complicate issues, the main focus is to allow freedom of expression and creativity. Role-playing are executed in a design studio environment rather than in a psychodrama situation. There are two different type of role-playing : Inventor and Designist (Designer + Artist). Students will be able to work in groups, incorporate problem solving into their projects and concentrate on more personal creative form developments. Through this process, students will enhance their problem solving abilities and broaden their scope for innovation. Thus increases the student's participation and creativity. Investigating the problems of domestic design education through these sort of special programs and developing systems that enhance creativity based on the results and the process methods.

  • 지식과 정보가 네트워크를 통해 빠르게 구축되고, 이것을 통해 사회 경제 문화의 다양한 측면에서 획기적인 변화와 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 이러한 기술의 발전은 교육환경에도 크게 영향을 미쳐 인터넷을 활용하여 학습 성과를 높이려는 시도가 다방면에서 이루어지고 있다. 특히 교육환경 변화와 함께 출현한 디지털 교육은 기존의 교육 방법이 가지는 한계인 시공간의 제약을 극복하여 전통적 수업방식을 대체 할 수 있는 학습 시스템으로 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 하지만 최근 급속한 양적인 성장은 개발과정에서 전문적인 학습이론이나 디자인적 고려 없이 단순히 텍스트를 이용하거나 각종 멀티미디어 소스를 무분별하게 사용하여 호기심 유발에만 치중한 나머지 정작 학습효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 양질의 콘텐츠가 부족한 것이 사실이다. 다양한 디지털 콘텐츠의 수많은 정보들을 전달하는 방법으로 사용상의 인지력과 편리함을 더하는 GUI(Graphic User Interface)디자인의 역할은 점점 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹상에서 서비스되고 있는 공공기관 교육용 콘텐츠의 체계적인 분석을 통하여 학습자에게 보다 현실적이고 효과적인 교육이 되기 위한 디자인 전략에 대해 연구한다.

참여 중심 어린이 교통안전교육 프로그램 효과 평가 (The Effectiveness of a Participatory Road Traffic Safety Education Program for the Elementary School Students)

  • Objectives: The purpose was to evaluate the effectiveness of participatory road safety education program for the lower grade in elementary schools. This program was developed based on the Activated Health Education model. Methods: Study design was compromise experimental group pre-post design. 456 students in 8 schools were nonrandomly assigned to study group(n=224) or control(n=232). The students finished self-administered questionnaire before and after education. Collected data was analyzed by using the SPSS. Results: 1. The common relevant factors in road safety knowledge and attitude were 'residential state' and 'experience of traffic accident'. 2. The knowledge showed that the case and control scored at 6.48 and 6.41 points before. After this intervention, the case and control scored at 8.38 and 6.51. The difference of the case was significant(p<0.001). 3. The attitude showed that the case and control scored at 19.67 and 19.63 before. After this, the case and control scored at 19.86 and 19.63. The difference of the case was significant(p<0.05). Conclusion: In order to implement the road safety education, children's socio-demographic characteristics were considered. Because this education was effective in both improving knowledge and attitude and bringing interest, various participatory program will be applied in road safety education for children.
