피연산자들의 트리구조 분석을 통한 게임공식 설계방법 (A Design Method of Game Formulas by Analyzing the Tree Structure of The Operands)

  • 컴퓨터게임은 게임규칙들을 컴퓨터가 자동적으로 처리하기 때문에 게임규칙들이 수학적 함수들로 표현된 게임공식들이 필요하다. 게임공식들은 일반적으로 다변수 함수들이다. 게임공식을 설계하는 것은 관련 게임규칙을 만족하는 다변수 함수를 설계하는 것이기 때문에 복잡하고 어려운 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 게임공식을 체계적으로 설계하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 방법은 다변수 함수인 게임공식을 피연산자들의 트리구조로 분해하여 이 트리구조의 최하위레벨에는 단일변수 함수들로 구성된다. 그래서 게임공식의 트리구조 분해를 통해 복잡하고 어려운 다변수 함수 설계 문제를 단순하고 쉬운 단일변수 함수 설계 문제로 변경하여 설계하는 방법이다.

시저스 시스템을 적용한 파사드 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Facade Design Using Scissors System)

  • Recently, the interest in the smart buildings is increasing in the architecture field. Among them, a research of facade design using a transformable system that can adjust the effect of the external environment is in progress. One of a typical example of the deployable system is a Scissors system that can change shape by using the geometric conditions of a unit member. Scissors system is a high-tech structural system which can construct the deployable plan and curved space by using the SLE (Scissors-Like Element) consisted of two Bar and Pivot. If the facade is designed by applying Scissors system, it is possible to maximize the performance and aesthetic effect of the structure by using a shape change of the line member. This paper presents a study of deployable facade design applying hybrid-typed Scissors system. A new deployable pattern of facade design is developed by combining Angulated Scissors system and tessellation pattern. Applying the deployable pattern a double skin construction method which is to add an outer wall for design, it raises three dimensional effects and can maximize the artistic essence of the change in shape upon deployment.

기본 자카드 조직의 게이지 변화에 따른 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Gauge Types Comparative Analysis of Basic Jacquard Structure)

  • The aim of this study is to plan a design that satisfies consumer needs by forecasting future properties following changes of gauge in basic Jacquard structure and to provide helpful data for a variety of knit-wear development. Four basic Jacquard knit samples (Normal Jacquard, Bird's eye Jacquard, Floating Jacquard, Tubular Jacquard) were selected and projected by using three types of gauges (7G, 12G, 14G) with an SES-122S type Computer Knitting machine of Shimaseiki MFG. Twelve different types of samples with Jacquards and gauges were tested on a flat table by measuring the course and wale in a 1cm area to calculate the gauge of samples. The mechanical properties of 12 types of Jacquard samples were measured using KES-FB (Kawabata Evaluation System for Fabric, Kata Tech Co. Ltd). As the result of comparing the number of patterns, courses and wales depending on the change of gauge of the basic Jacquard structure, it was observed that the number of patterns per specific length, course and wale has increased from 7G to 14G, a high-gauge. According to objective research regarding Jacquard structure, 7G Tubular Jacquard, which is low gauge, seems to be suitable for masculine design as it is heavy and thick, and has rigid and rough texture due to a high level of flexural strength and shear property. 14G Floating Jacquard, which is high gauge, seems to be suitable for feminine, silhouette design as it is light, thin, soft, flexible and has high drape. The result of this study provides a theoretical foundation for knit-wear development considering basic Jacquard structure and gauge-specific properties. This study can be used to provided directions for the development of knit industry.

  • KTX is being operated on Kyung-Pu High Speed Railroad Line and Ho-Nam Railroad Line from April 2004. Reduction units is occurring water infiltration at heavy snow and oil leakage because of labyrinth structure. This paper describes design method and evaluation technology to improve structure to prevent water infiltration and oil leakage for reduction units of KTX. This reduction units need high power and high speed to run and they have to make optimal lubricant without change current interface.

  • This research aims to evaluated the structure improvement and new product development of valve tester. A valve tester was redesigned for structure improvement and new product development using 3-D design program CATIA. In addition, behavior analysis was conducted on the modeled valve tester using the ANSYS program. The total deformation, stress and strain were obtained by the internal pressure change. This result was applied to the new product development of valve tester.

파랑에너지 집적 및 연안해역 제어를 위한 해저구조물의 설계 (Design of a Submerged Coastal Structure for Concentration of Wave Energy and Control of a Coastal Area)

  • The effects of wave energy focusing by a submerged berm type of structure is examined. The fundamental idea is based on the phenomenon of refraction by a lens-shaped crescent structure which results in the focusing of wave energy on the center line of the structure. The shape of the submerged structure is a complex curve combining circular with elliptical elements. Based on the design procedure, a special configuration of structure(termed herein as a triple crescent structure) is introduced. Next, some hydraulic model tests are performed to confirm the wave focusing effect in laboratory. In addition, in order to interpret the wave focusing performance behind the structure, a numerical procedure by the hybrid element method is used on the basis of the conventional mild slope equation but modified and extended to allow for steeper bottom slopes and higher curvature. The modified refraction and diffraction provide additional mechanism for wave height amplification and the maximum amplification for triple crescent structure is presented. It also allows for the possibility of wave energy scattering with the change of the incident wave direction. Comparisons with previous theoretical results involving a submerged crescent shape structure are described.

Experimental training of shape memory alloy fibres under combined thermomechanical loading

  • In this article, experimental training of the commercial available shape memory alloy fibre (SMA) fibre under the combined thermomechanical loading is reported. SMA has the ability to sense a small change in temperature (${\geq}10^{\circ}C$) and activated under the external loading and results in shape change. The thermomechanical characteristics of SMA at different temperature and mechanical loading are obtained through an own lab-scale experimental setup. The analysis is conducted for two types of the medium using the liquid nitrogen (cold cycle) and the hot water (heat cycle). The experimental data indicate that SMA act as a normal wire for Martensite phase and activated behavior i.e., regain the original shape during the Austenite phase only. To improve the confidence of such kind of behavior has been verified by inspecting the composition of the wire. The study reveals interesting conclusion i.e., while SMA deviates from the equiatomic structure or consist of foreign materials (carbon and oxygen) except nickel and titanium may affect the phase transformation temperature which shifted the activation phase temperature. Also, the grain structure distortion of SMA wire has been examined via the scanning electron microscope after the thermomechanical cycle loading and discussed in details.

조형예술을 응용한 의상디자인 발상에 관한 연구 -20세기 패션디자인에 나타난 몬드리안의 기하추상회화 작품을 중심으로- (A Study on Fashion Design Applied with the Plastic Arts -Focused on Mondrian's Geometrical Abstract Painting Shown in the Twenty Century's Fashion Design-)

  • The plastic arts is used when designers draw inspirations to create fashion design. The author referred to fashion magazines for designing ideas of Mondrian's geometrical abstract painting in practical applications used by designers in Paris, Italy, London and New York during the 10-year period(1991-2000). The collections of data were analyzed as following: ◇ Fashion Designing Idea 1. Matching Idea The art is reproduced in the design as how it is with no transformation. First, the painting's complete figure is reproduced on the entire or parts of clothing. Second, the painting's partial figure is reproduced on the entire or parts of clothing. 2. Contrasting Ideas The composition elements in Mondrian's geometrical abstract painting, for example, structures of shapes, vertical and horizontal lines and different colors are applied in the design. First, one particular shape in painting is transformed into different shape of square, circle or triangle and reproduced in designing. Second, one particular shape in painting is disassembled and then reshaped into different form in reproduction. Third, additional lines are put in to create different look from the original painting. Forth, existing lines are extended over the boundary to create different look from the original painting. Fifth, achromatic colors: black and white, and three basic colors: red, blue and yellow in the original painting are modified into different shades or color scheme is increased in broad range.

Structural Design of Medium Scale Composite Wind Turbine Blade

  • In this study, the 750kW medium scale composite blade for the horizontal axis wind turbine system was designed and manufactured, and it was tested and evaluated by the specific structural test rig. In the test, it was found that local bucklings at the trailing edge of the blade and excessive deflections at the blade tip were happened. In order to solve these problems, the design of blade structure was modified. After improving the design, the abrupt change of deflection at the blade tip was reduced by smooth variation of the spar thickness and the local buckling was removed by extending the web length. The modified design was analyzed by the FEM, the safety and stability of the blade structure. And Fatigue life over 20 years was confirmed by using S-N linear damage method, Spera's method, etc.

  • This paper describes the application of sliding mode control based on the variable structure control(VSC) concept for high-performance position control of an induction servo motor A design method based on external load parameters has been developed for the robust control of AC induction servo drive. Also, a slip frequency vector control with software current control technique has been adopted to achieve fast response of an induction motor drive The position control scheme is comprised of a variable structure controller and slip frequency vector control for inverter fed induction servo motor. Simulated results are given to verify the proposed design method by adoption of sliding mode and show robust control for a change of shaft inertia, viscous friction and torque disturbance.
