Purpose: This study aimed to compare the quality of nursing care as perceived by registered nurses and mothers of hospitalized children in South Korea. Methods: This was a descriptive study that recruited 70 mothers of hospitalized children and 70 nurses in pediatric units in university hospitals as participants. The quality of pediatric nursing care was measured using importance and performance scores for 19 items describing various elements of nursing care. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the independent t-test. Results: The hospitalized children mothers'mean importance scores were significantly higher than those of the nurses (t=2.94, p=.004). However, there were no significant differences in the mean performance scores of nurses and mothers (t=0.91, p=.363) or between nurses'and mothers'perceptions of quality of nursing care, with the exception of a significant difference for the quality of explanations (t=2.78, p=.006). The quality of explanations was assessed more positively by nurses than by mothers. Conclusion: This study suggests that when developing strategies to improve the quality of nursing care in pediatric wards, ensuring that pediatric nurses provide detailed explanations should be considered as a way to improve the quality of nursing care in pediatric units.

Purpose: This study was done to measure the level of social support, self-esteem, and empowerment and to identify any effect of social support and self-esteem on the empowerment of nurses. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey using questionnaires which were given to 381 nurses in C province. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regressions. Results: The mean score for nurses' empowerment was $2.83{\pm}0.66$. Seven individual characteristics, social support(family, meaningful persons, supervisors, and co-workers) and self-esteem accounted for 23.3% of the variance in nurses' empowerment. Prediction elements influencing empowerment of nurses were salary per month, self-esteem, and social support(supervisors). Conclusion: The results indicate that it is necessary to increase nurses' empowerment. Social support by supervisors and self-esteem were confirmed as important factors to increase nurses' empowerment. In addition, raising the monthly average income would increase empowerment of nurses.

본 연구는 수학과 교과역량으로서의 정보처리 능력이 어떻게 해석, 적용되고 있는지 교과서 분석을 통해 탐구하였다. 중학교 1-3학년 10종 30권 교과서의 191개 과제를 정보처리 능력 하위요소에 따라 분석한 결과, 하위요소별, 교과서별로 차이가 컸으며 공통적으로 '공학적 도구 및 교구 활용'에 매우 치우쳐 있었다. 과제 유형별로도 해석과 적용 방법의 다양성이 발견되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 정보처리 능력 함양을 위한 개선 방향과 시사점을 논의하였다.

이 연구는 한국 전통음악 녹음자료의 통일표제 기술원칙에 관한 모형안을 제시한 것이다. 주요부분을 중심으로 그 결과를 요약하여 보면 다음과 같다. 비악곡형식의 경우에는 구국악의 아악은 속명을, 민속악은 일반화된 표제를, 신국악은 작곡자가 최초로 표현한 원표제를 통일표제로 하여 각 괄호 속에 기입하되 식별적 요소를 제외하고는 연주수단 등을 생략한다. 그러나 기악곡의 악곡형식의 경우에는 악곡형식, 연주수단 축차번호, 작품번호, 조, 기타 한정어구나 설명구의 순으로 통일표제를 구성하여 각 괄호 속에 기술한다. 그리고 구국악의 성악곡 중 합창곡의 연주수단은 남성, 여성, 혼성합창으로만, 독창곡은 남성, 여성독창으로만 기술하고, 신국악은 양악의 형식을 따른다. 이 밖에 상이한 작품이 동일한 통일표 제를 가질 경우는 연주수단, 축차번호 조 한정어구나 설명구, 발행사명, 발행년 등을 부가하여 구별하도록 한다.

소설을 비롯한 문학작품에 대한 접근은 기술요소 중심이었고, 주제접근 역시 작품 속에 등장하는 소재, 인물명, 지명 등 형식 요소에 국한되어 왔다. 이러한 관행은 소설 주제의 본질을 놓친 것이며 미학적 경험을 추구하는 이용자의 주제요구를 반영하지 못한다 이 연구에서는 소설 주제접근체계의 확장을 위해 상징 및 모티프의 개념과 주제접근 점으로서의 가능성을 검토하였다. 이와 함께 해당 용어사전을 정보원으로 활용하여 상징과 모티프 체계를 구성하고, 20세기 한국소설에 적용해 이용성과 한계점을 논하였다.

This study aims to identify on the possibility of the convergence education in engineering. Delphi survey on a panel of experts was chosen to be the main methodology for this study, drawing the main factors of convergence education in engineering. From Oct. 10 to Nov. 25, 2013, a three-round Delphi survey was implemented to collect data. A panel of eighteen experts were involved in this survey. For statistical processing, descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were carried out along with internal reliability test on the survey instrument. First, the possible convergence of disciplines in engineering were found to Design, Industrial design, ICT, Health care services, Video media, Business and Administration, Organizational psychology, Sociology, Humanities and Aesthetics. Second, the convergence education factors to be most important demanded creativity, idea generation techniques such as the expression of thought communication skills, technical expertise in the field per line, understanding of basic knowledge, verification of common elements among different disciplines, understanding of other disciplines fusion in engineering, artistry and imagination, etc. Third, requirements for the talented person of convergence were the open mind and enthusiasm, creative imagination, accept the opinions of others, skills capacity as a creative expression, and challenges. Above-mentioned requirements are found to be the necessary elements for convergence education.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the preference of living room furniture and to suggest Korean brand furniture design guideline. Subjects consisted of 171 residents aged up 20 years old in Seoul and Kyung-ki. area. The data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical package. The results of descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test and $x^2$-test are presented. The result of this study showed as fallows; 1) Livingroom funiture design with considering family life behavior were needed. 2) Modernizing traditional elements(motives and pattern) were preferred to duplicating traditional elements. 3) In furniture materials, easy to maintaining and cleaning and environmentally-sound materials as solid wood were highly appraised. Also, functional and harmonious furniture design with interior or other furniture were needed. So, modular-system furniture for livingroom would fulfill user's needs which are function, harmony and conciseness. 4) Elegant, easy, unique, functional, and simple design for livingroom were highly appraised. Considering these results, it is necessary to develop more on the modernized traditional furniture based on the various needs of users. These results provide a practical guideline for the development of the Korean brand design for livingroom furniture design.

이 연구의 목적은 정보의 생산량이 늘어나고, 이용자의 정보요구가 세분화되어 가는 시점에 정보를 세분하여 체계적으로 목록하고, 이를 검색 환경에 반영하여 표현함으로써 목록의 기능을 확대해 보고자 하는 것이다. 그래서 이 연구는 기존의 목록규칙에서 발행년의 기술표기 변천 과정을 살펴보고, 현재의 온라인서점의 목록을 통해서 기술요소를 살펴보며, 자료 식별과 검색에 도움이 될 수 있는 발행사항의 하위요소에 발행년 뿐만 아니라 발행월을 기술해야할 필요성을 제시하였다. 또 발행월에 대한 목록규칙과 MARC의 기술 예시를 제시하여 보았다.

The study focused on the evaluation of maintenance management strategies used in public hospital buildings in Lagos state. It also assessed the labour composition for maintenance operations. In achieving these objectives, opinions of maintenance officers of ten (10) different hospitals in different local government areas of the state were sampled through well structured questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. From the analysis, the study revealed that majority of those public hospitals do not have specific budget for maintenance programmes, maintenance policies, maintenance log book and maintenance manual to guide the operatives. About 98% of them do not understand the type of maintenance strategy being used for their maintenance operations. 78% of the maintenance work are only executed when there is a breakdown or in response to user's request. For labour composition, the cleaning of interior and exterior of the building, inspection of building elements, repairs and replacements of building elements are mainly carried out by in-house staff, while the repair and replacement of equipment is by outsourcing. The study also revealed that using in- house staff, reduces costs and provides a higher security while outsourcing provides more flexibility in staffing reduces equipment expenditures and provide better access to special skills. The study recommended proactive measures to provide necessary training and support for maintenance staff and users of these facilities and a means of securing sufficient funds for maintenance programmes.

본 연구에서는 FRBR의 저작 단위로 태그(tag)가 부여되고 있는 LibraryThing에 나타난 태그를 활용하여, 소설(Fiction) 분야 태그들의 특성, 패턴의 형식적인 측면과 동시에 태그의 내용 분석을 시도하였다. 저작의 서지사항 기술 용어, LCSH 용어와 비교하여 관련 정도를 파악하였고, 이에 포함되지 않는 기타 태그의 출처는 어디인지, 저작의 어떤 측면을 표현하고 있는지, 저작과 연계하여 태그의 용어를 살펴보았다. 특히 소설이란 한 분야로 한정함으로써, 소설만이 가지는 특성인 소설의 3요소(주제, 구성, 문체), 소설 구성의 3요소(인물, 사건, 배경)를 반영한 태그를 파악하여, 향후 소설 정보의 조직 및 검색 요소로서 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다. 이를 통해 기존의 색인어를 보완하는 폭소노미 태그의 역할을 규명하고 태깅시스템이 나아갈 새로운 방향을 제시하였다.
