TiN 코팅된 Ti 및 Ti-6Al-4V합금의 부식거동 (Corrosion behaviors of Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloys by TiN coating)

  • Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloys commonly used dental implant materials, particularly for orthopaedic and osteosynthesis because of its suitable mechanical properties and excellent biocompatibility. This alloys have excellent corrosion behavior in the clinical environment. The first factor to decide the success of dental implantation is sufficient osseointegration and high corrosion resistance between on implant fixture and its surrounding bone tissue. In this study, in order to increase corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloy that surface of manufactured alloy was coated with TiN by RF-magnetron sputtering method. The electrochemical behavior of TiN coated Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloy were investigated using potentiodynamic (EG&G Co, PARSTAT 2273. USA) and potentiostatic test (250mV) in 0.9% NaCl solution at 36.5 $\pm$ 1$^{\circ}C$. These results are as follows : 1. From the microstructure analysis, Cp-Ti showed the acicular structure of $\alpha$-phase and Ti-6Al-4V showed the micro-acicular structure of ${\alpha}+{\beta}$ phase. 2. From the potentiodynamic test, Ecorr value of Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloys showed -702.48mV and -319.87mV, respectively. Ti-6Al-4V alloy value was higher than Cp-Ti alloy. 3. From the analysis of TiN and coated layer, TIN coated surface showed columnar structure with 800 nm thickness. 4. The corrosion resistance of TiN coated Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloys were higher than those of the non-coated Ti alloys in 0.9% NaCl solution from potentiodynamic test, indicating better protective effect. 5. The passivation current density of TiN coated Cp-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V alloys were smaller than that of the noncoated implant fixture in 0.9% NaCl solution, indicating the good protective effect resulting from more compact and homogeneous layer formation.

3Y-지르코니아 조성에서 Glass Frit의 첨가량에 따른 소결 거동 및 기계적 특성의 변화 (Effect of Glass Frit on the Sintering Behavior and Mechanical Properties of 3Y-ZrO2)

  • 본 연구에서는 치과재료로 유망한 지르코니아에 frit을 첨가하고 frit의 첨가량과 소결 온도에 따른 소결밀도의 변화와 기계적 특성의 변화를 고찰하고자 하였다. 지르코니아에 frit을 첨가함으로써 소결밀도의 향상 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 소결온도가 $1400^{\circ}C$에 이르면 유리질에 의해 시편이 형체를 유지할 수 없는 상태가 되기 때문에 소결온도는 $1300^{\circ}C$로 제한되었다. 일반적으로 frit의 첨가량이 많아지고 소결온도가 높아짐에 따라 소결밀도가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 소결체에서 얻은 최대 소결밀도는 frit을 20 wt% 첨가하고 $1300^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 경우에서 93.3 %를 나타내었다. 이들 시편에 대해 기계적인 물성을 측정한 결과 곡강도, 파괴인성, Vickers 미세경도 등의 물성이 소결온도에 따라 향상되는 것을 알 수 있었으며, frit의 첨가량에 따라서는 10 wt% 첨가된 경우에서 최대값을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 3점 곡강도, 파괴인성, Vickers 미세경도의 최대값은 각각 206 MPa, $3.4\;MPa\;m^{1/2}$, 그리고 5.3 GPa로 나타났다. 이상의 결과 지르코니아에 frit을 첨가하면 소결온도를 낮추고 소결밀도를 향상시키는 한편 우수한 기계적 특성을 가진 지르코니아에 비하여 낮은 물성을 가진 frit의 첨가로 인하여 밀도향상 효과와 기계적 특성 저하 효과가 서로 작용하여 10 wt%의 frit이 첨가된 경우에 기계적 특성이 최대값을 나타내는 것으로 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this investigation was to determined the dimensional change of plaster to time with impression materials. This study was carried out through the literature & experiment, using 4sorts of the Impression Materials(Alginate, Impression Agar, Silicone Rubber, Polysulfide Rybber)and 5 treatments(1hr, 11/2 hrs, 2hur, 3hur, 6hur). The results of this experiment were as follows : 1. Main effect of Impression Meterials & tretments was statistically significant.(P<0.01). 2. The effect of 2-way interaction of Impression materials & Treatments was also statistically significant.(P<0.01) 3. Though this study was the difference of degree according to the materials. All Impression Materials were tended to be constained according to over the time.

분말야금공법으로 제조된 CAD/CAM용 Co-Cr-Mo 합금의 미세조직 및 기계적 특성 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Co-Cr-Mo alloy for CAD/CAM Applications fabricated by Powder Metallurgy Process)

  • Purpose: The aims of this study are compare with microstructure and mechanical properties of Co-Cr-Mo alloys fabricated by powder metallurgy(P/M) process and casting process respectively. Methods: Microstructure and micro-hardness were tested by SEM and Vickers Hardness Tester. The sintered specimen was produced by furnace-coolling after sintering, however the casting specimen were produced thru air-cooling and water-cooling after the casting. For observation of phase transformation during sintering, DSC analyzing was carried out. Results: Mean pore size of sintered Co-Cr-Mo alloy was $4.32{\mu}m$ and that of casting alloy was $1.63{\mu}m$. Hardness of sintered alloy was lower than water-quenched casting alloy. Conclusion: Proper sintering temperature of Co-Cr-Mo alloy was above $1,200^{\circ}C$ and pore size of casting specimen were finer than sintered specimen, but hardness were similar.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate force per unit displacements according to the shape of a clasp arm and flexibility of the material. Effect of four shape parameters of a clasp, base width and thickness and tip width and thickness, on tip displacement and force per unit displacement was investigated to get the fact that displacement and force per unit displacement at the tip increase as thickness and width of clasp arm increase just as expected. But force per unit displacement is much more affected by the change in thickness than by change in width. So it is effective to increase the thickness rather than width in order to increase the force at the tip using the same amount of the material.

  • This study was made to effect on the porosity when model making for control of vibrator. Samples of total 600 were made by plaster and stone divided low, medium and high which is 100 each. The following results were obtained to observation porosity of surface by eyes. 1. Second stage was fewer than third stage, first stage was fewer than third stage in porosity number of plaster model. 2. Second stage was fewer than first stage in porosity number of stone model. 3. Stone model was fewer than plaster model in porosity number of third stage.

의치상 수리면 오염원에 따른 수지의 결합강도 (Bond strength of denture base resin repaired according to contamination)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate bond strength of denture base resin repaired according to contamination. One commercial denture base resin and two different kinds of relines resin were tested; Lusiton 199(denture base resin), Vertex(reline resin) and TokusoRebase(repair resin). The specimens were processed according to the manufacturer's instructions to cured denture base resin(polymethylmethacrylate; PMMA) and reline resin. Bond strengths were examined by use of a three-point transverse flexural strength test. Data were analyzed with two-factor analysis of variance and Duncan's post-hoc test at $\alpha$=0.05. Generally, the bondstrength of heat-cured resin(Lusiton 199) was higher than the other resins. The contaminations produced an decrease in bond strength. Therefore the contamination, such as saliva or water must be avoided during the laboratory repair procedures.

의치의 중합방법에 따른 변화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Dimensional Changes through the Curing Method of Denture)

  • This experimental study presented the study on the dimensional changes of occuring for the denture curing methods. The method is as follows: 1. The master die was made of wax. 2. The Silicon Rubber Mold was made into the same 80 casts. 3. The 80 Wax Plate were made of using the Base Plate Wax. 4. Flasking, Wax-wash, & Resin-packing were performed by the general procedures. 5. The curing method is performed through the four curing methods. (A, B, C, D). Table 2 shows the dimensional change after a day. Table 3 shows the dimensional change after soaking for 30 days in water of the degree of 36 Centigrade. As a result, the A curing method is the most denture curing.

생체용 Ti-Zr-Nb-Pd계 합금의 기계적 성질 (Mechanical Properties of Ti-Zr-Nb-Pd Based Alloys for Biomedical Applications)

  • For biomedical applications, Ti-X%Zr-Y%Nb-0.2%Pd(X:10$\sim$20, Y:2$\sim$8) alloys not containing harmful Al and V were newly designed, and the effect of alloy composition and heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated. From the results, it was shown that the mechanical properties were enhanced with the addition of Zr or Nb. The effect of heat treating on room temperature strength was investigated by aging treatment after solution treatment. The mechanical properties of Ti-20%Zr-4%Nb-0.2%Pd alloy aged at 400$^{\circ}C$ for 10hrs was found to be superior to those of the pure Ti and Ti-6%Al-4%V ELI alloy.

  • This study investigated the effect of burnout temperature on the castability of some nickelchromium alloys for porcelain fused to metal system and the effect of beryllium on the castability. Four alloys were evaluated: two contained beryllium(rexillium III, Super I) and two nonberyllium(Unibond, NNB). five burnout temperature, ranging form 100$^{\circ}F$ to 1800$^{\circ}F$, were aet at 200$^{\circ}F$ intervals for this study. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Beryllium-containing alloys were more castable than nonberyllium-containing alloys. 2. There was an optimal burnout temperature of range from 1400$^{\circ}F$ to 1600$^{\circ}F$ for the berylliumcontaining alloys studied. 3. An optimal burnout temperature for the nonberyllium alloys was not established.
