  • In modern society, the field of life is expanding to complex and diverse fields according to changes in lifestyle. As people's consciousness also changes, various social problems are involved, and countermeasures are being taken in various ways. In particular, as the issue of school violence has become a subject of interest, government-related ministries have jointly set up a reporting center and professional counselors are receiving and consulting on damage reports. Counselors experience mental and physical exhaustion in the course of their work. Therefore, the need to contribute to effective counseling work is raised by studying the factors that cause burnout. This study collected the experiences of 10 counselors working at 117 reporting centers from February 2019 to May 2020 through interviews and analyzed them with Colaizzi's phenomenological research method. The exhaustion factors derived from the results of the study were first experiences such as conflict between counselors during the period of institutional integration in the "117 reporting center experience", and secondly, professional counselors experienced emotional exhaustion, inhumanization, and lack of achievement. In order to prevent and overcome the exhaustion factors of counseling agents, it was necessary to prepare measures to promote fraud. This is expected to be useful data for improving the working environment of special job counselors in the era of industrialization and informatization in which various anonymous counseling methods are used.

  • This study was conducted to provide the basis for psychological management direction of students ahead of their first field practice by grasping the degree of anxiety and confirming the relationship between departments satisfaction and practice expectations. A survey was conducted on dental hygiene students ahead of their first field practice and 135 people were selected as final analysis subjects. Data analysis investigated general characteristics, department satisfaction, field practice expectation and pre-education satisfaction and statistical analysis was conducted through mean(±SD), one-way ANOVA, and multiple linear regression analysis method. As a result, the anxiety level was high in the lower group of performance in the previous semester, and the department satisfaction and pre-education satisfaction were high in the group with low anxiety level. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was found that department satisfaction, field practice expectation, pre-education satisfaction, and anxiety were negatively correlated, and the higher the practice expectation, the lower the anxiety. Therefore, in order to lower the level of anxiety before field practice, it is necessary to come up with measures to increase interventional pre-education, department satisfaction and field practice expectation.

  • This study aimed to discuss mental health services for children and adolescents that are being implemented as initiatives of the Korean government and to review the functions and roles of these projects during the COVID-19 pandemic. Three government departments are in charge of providing mental health services for children and adolescents: Ministry of Education, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and Ministry of Health and Welfare. The Ministry of Education has implemented several policies to facilitate the early detection of mental health issues among school students (from preventive interventions to selective interventions for high-risk students). The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family additionally serves out-of-school children and adolescents by facilitating early identification of adolescents in crises and providing temporary protection or emergency assistance (as required) through the Community Youth Safety-Net Project. Furthermore, the Ministry of Health and Welfare operates relevant mental health agencies for individuals of all ages including children and adolescents. Any high-risk students who have been screened through the projects of the Ministry of Education are supported through referrals to the following institutions for appropriate treatment of their symptoms: specialized hospitals, the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center operated by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the National Youth Healing Center, the Mental Health Welfare Center operated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Suicide Prevention Center, and the Child Welfare Center. To assist students who are facing any psychological difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education has established a psychiatric support group for providing emergency mental health care; furthermore, schools are promoting psychological surveillance (e.g., provision of non-face-to-face counseling services that are centered around the Wee Center). The Ministry of Education, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and Ministry of Health and Welfare have provided varied mental health support services in order to address the challenges faced by children and adolescents during the pandemic. Nevertheless, the mental health services operated by each ministry do show some limitations because their service provision system is insufficiently collaborative. The present study discussed the positive effects of each initiative as well as its limitations; furthermore, it suggested improvements for facilitating the healthy development of children and adolescents' mental health.

  • This paper aims to derive success factors that successfully lead an artificial intelligence (AI) project and prioritize importance. To this end, we first reviewed prior related studies to select success factors and finally derived 17 factors through expert interviews. Then, we developed a hierarchical model based on the TOE framework. With a hierarchical model, a survey was conducted on experts from AI-using companies and experts from supplier companies that support AI advice and technologies, platforms, and applications and analyzed using AHP methods. As a result of the analysis, organizational and technical factors are more important than environmental factors, but organizational factors are a little more critical. Among the organizational factors, strategic/clear business needs, AI implementation/utilization capabilities, and collaboration/communication between departments were the most important. Among the technical factors, sufficient amount and quality of data for AI learning were derived as the most important factors, followed by IT infrastructure/compatibility. Regarding environmental factors, customer preparation and support for the direct use of AI were essential. Looking at the importance of each 17 individual factors, data availability and quality (0.2245) were the most important, followed by strategy/clear business needs (0.1076) and customer readiness/support (0.0763). These results can guide successful implementation and development for companies considering or implementing AI adoption, service providers supporting AI adoption, and government policymakers seeking to foster the AI industry. In addition, they are expected to contribute to researchers who aim to study AI success models.

A questionnaire was distributed and collected to a total of 161 female students enrolled in four departments of U University. Frequency and percentage, correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were performed, and the Sobel test was performed to verify the significance of the indirect effects. Findings First, it was found that female university students' perception of dating violence had a negative effect on the behavior of victims of dating violence, and the explanation power was 5%. Second, violence tolerance was found to have a positive effect on the behavior of all dating violence victims, and the explanatory power was 12%. Third, in the first stage, female university students' perception of dating violence significantly explained the tolerance of violence. In step 2, perception of dating violence significantly explained the behavior of dating violence victims, and in step 3, the tolerance of violence explained the behavior of victims of dating violence. When violence tolerance was introduced in step 4, the influence of dating violence perception on the victimization behavior of dating violence decreased, but it was not significant. That is, violence tolerance showed a partial mediating effect in the effect of dating violence perception on dating violence victim behavior. It is necessary to develop and implement practical programs that can raise perception of violence and lower the tolerance for violence to prevent victims of dating violence.

  • Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is one of the most prevalent sleep disorders that can lead to serious consequences, including hypertension and/or cardiovascular diseases, if not treated promptly. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is widely recognized as the most effective treatment for OSA, which needs the proper titration of airway pressure to achieve the most effective treatment results. However, the process of CPAP titration can be time-consuming and cumbersome. There is a growing importance in predicting personalized CPAP pressure before CPAP treatment. The primary objective of this study was to optimize the CPAP titration process for obstructive sleep apnea patients through EEG feature engineering with machine learning techniques. We aimed to identify and utilize the most critical EEG features to forecast key OSA predictive indicators, ultimately facilitating more precise and personalized CPAP treatment strategies. Here, we analyzed 126 OSA patients' PSG datasets before and after the CPAP treatment. We extracted 29 EEG features to predict the features that have high importance on the OSA prediction index which are AHI and SpO2 by applying the Shapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) method. Through extracted EEG features, we confirmed the six EEG features that had high importance in predicting AHI and SpO2 using XGBoost, Support Vector Machine regression, and Random Forest Regression. By utilizing the predictive capabilities of EEG-derived features for AHI and SpO2, we can better understand and evaluate the condition of patients undergoing CPAP treatment. The ability to predict these key indicators accurately provides more immediate insight into the patient's sleep quality and potential disturbances. This not only ensures the efficiency of the diagnostic process but also provides more tailored and effective treatment approach. Consequently, the integration of EEG analysis into the sleep study protocol has the potential to revolutionize sleep diagnostics, offering a time-saving, and ultimately more effective evaluation for patients with sleep-related disorders.

  • Universities that previously targeted in 20s have recently diversified their operation methods, founding purposes, and target. With a significant decrease in the school-age population relative to the number of universities, universities are making their best efforts to secure new students and minimize student attrition. In this study, an online survey was conducted to empirically examine the effects of motivation for major selection and sense of belonging on learning persistence intention among students in beauty-related departments at 2-year and 4-year general universities and cyber universities. The collected data from 119 students at general universities and 113 students at cyber universities were analyzed using SPSS 28. The key findings can be summarized as follows: For general universities, motivation for major selection did not have a significant effect on learning persistence intention, but sense of belonging had a significant positive effect. Additionally, an interaction effect was observed, indicating that as the sense of belonging increased, extrinsic motivation significantly increased learning persistence intention. For cyber universities, intrinsic motivation and sense of belonging among motivations for major selection had a significant positive effect on learning persistence intention, while the moderating effect of sense of belonging in the relationship between motivation for major selection and learning persistence intention was not significant. In summary, for general universities, the factor that influenced students' learning persistence intention was a sense of belonging to the university, while for cyber universities, intrinsic motivation played a significant role. These findings are expected to provide meaningful insights and data for universities to develop effective policies for preventing student attrition.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how independent variables such as instructors' willingness to innovate, subjective norms, and self-efficacy affect technology acceptance intention through parameters such as ease of use and usefulness, and in what ways, and to suggest ways to revitalize new technology-related education in the beauty field. The results of the analysis of beauty major instructors' intention to adopt digital new technologies showed that innovation intention, subjective norms, and self-efficacy toward new technologies have a defining influence on the parameters of ease and usefulness. These results can be interpreted as a strong recognition of the need to apply new technologies in the beauty field and the need to improve the curriculum for this purpose, but the instructors' own fear of applying new technologies makes it difficult to apply new curriculum in reality. Therefore, the development of teaching materials related to digital technology education that can be easily understood by beauty instructors should be prioritized, and the development and use of related education programs should be expanded. In addition, we are confident that close collaboration with digital new technology and IT-related departments to understand the education of beauty majors and mutual research to develop education programs will help to develop digital new technology education programs tailored to the beauty field.
