The findings showed that sense of rivalry was only significant factor influencing relativism and deontology of adolescents' ethical decision. Self-interest and monetary attitude were not significant, but when eliminating sense of rivalry due to multicollinearity in regression model, monetary attitude significantly influenced their ethical decision.

  • Autonomous vehicles can significantly reduce accidents due to 'driver's carelessness', which occupies the majority of causes for traffic accidents, but they may fail to avoid traffic accidents due to unexpected situations, such as "trolley dilemma", vehicle defects and road defects. Therefore in situations Autonomous vehicles need to be made ethical choices. This study assumes that Autonomous vehicles can not avoid traffic accidents due to unexpected sink holes. In this situation, the traffic accident costs was analyzed for the ethical choices of Autonomous vehicles. In the process, Autonomous vehicles were made to choose one of three ethical choices : (1) Egoism with priority on passenger safety, (2) Deontology for minimizing human damages, (3) Utilitarianism with minimizing traffic accident costs. As a result of the analysis, egoism had the highest traffic accident costs, and deontology for minimizing human damages had the lowest traffic accident costs.

Data collection was conducted from May 14 to June 1, 2018 in 180 students of a university nursing student in Daegu who explained their research and agreed to the study. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. In order to confirm the difference between the subjects' demographic characteristics and nursing-related characteristics, the independent t-test and ANOVA were used, and the post-test was conducted using the $Sch{\acute{e}}ffe$ post-test. The ethical values of the nursing students were $97.51{\pm}8.96$ out of 150, indicating that they were inclined toward the position of deontology. The first grade students were more dominant, and the higher the grade, the more inclined toward utilitarianism. It is necessary to develop education to establish ethical values so that ethical decision making can be done through philosophical thinking when various nursing dilemma situations in the clinical field are based on the results.

  • Do cultural differences affect moral decisions? Two studies were conducted to investigate whether attitudes of individualism vs. collectivism have an impact on ethical decision making. Study 1 (N=92) showed that utilitarianism was preferred in a situation, in which an intervention resulted in the best outcome (i.e., saving more people's lives), while deontology was preferred in a situation, in which the focus was on negative consequences of the intervention (i.e. personal sacrifices). Additionally, there were differences between the idiocentrics and the allocentrics groups regarding morality aspects. In the idiocentrics group, harm and fairness were regarded as more important than other moral aspects, while in the allocentrics group, not only harm and fairness, but also ingroup and authority were perceived as critical moral aspects. In Study 2 (N=30), after lexical decision tasks were conducted for culture priming, the mouse tracking method was used to explore response dynamics of moral decision processes, while judging appropriateness of interventions in moral dilemmas. In Study 2, in a condition, in which the small number of victims were focused upon, there were more maximal deviations and higher Xflips in the individualism priming group than in the collectivism priming group, which showed that the participants in the individualism condition had more deliberative processes before choosing their answers between utilitarianism and deontology. In addition, the participants in the individualism priming condition showed more maximal deviations in the mouse trajectories regarding ingroup related interventions in moral dilemmas than those in the collectivism priming condition. These results implicated the possibilities that the automatic emotional process and the controlled deliberative process in moral decision making might interact with cultural dispositions of the individuals and the focus of situations.

  • Axel Honneth's recognition-theoretical conception of morality is most often characterized as a teleological or ethical foundation of morality and understood in simple consequentialist sense. Besides teleological or consequentialist components, however, there are obviously Kantian deontological ones too in his moral conception of Recognition. This study is intended to provide a consistent and coherent interpreta-tion of it, which is largely adopting main features of the moral philosophy of Kant. This interpretation makes a deontological restructuring of Honneth's moral conception of recognition necessary. It is in this way that the moral aspect of recognition will be able to satisfy the intention and whole project of Honneth's theory of recognition.
