Purpose .This study aims to assess the influence factors on the level of satisfaction with hospital training and to provide basic data for more efficient hospital practice of students' public health administration . Methods . We have conducted a survey on students satisfaction with their hands on practice against 200 students in Busan, Kyeongnam and Kyungbook area, who have completed their practice in public health administration. We have identified the general characteristics of the target respondents, the current training status of the department for the hospital practice and training venue; also analyzed the characteristics composed of the apprentice student's attitude before the practice, satisfaction with the department training program and hospital for practice, as well as their practice at hospital. The general characteristics of the target respondents and clinic practice status at the hospital were measured in percentage and frequency analysis; the average and standard deviations of hospital size were also measured; and the correlations between satisfaction with the department, attitude towards the practice and satisfaction with the hospital were analyzed. Results . Most public health administration students experienced their practice at the hospital after the first semester on the $2^{nd}$year and they have received the foundation training for the practice. The survey allowed multiple responses and the results are as follows: medical terminology 49.5%, medical coordinator 36.7%, Hospital administration 26.5%, Health insurance 17.3%, and medical recording and practice 13.8% respectively. In terms of each individual student's attitude towards the practice at the hospital, the respondents answered as follows: I have completed the obligatory subjects for the practice before the practice 89.5%; I have been fully informed on the hospital for my practice. 74.5%; I responsibly practiced and worked with professionalism and sense of belonging to the hospital as a member of staff 90%; I have actively learned and adopted 95%; My knowledge and skills from the practice was relevant to the theory and practice from my course 83.5%. The findings of satisfaction by size of hospital were in order of a small clinic($3.24{\pm}0.63$), medium sized clinic($3.27{\pm}0.65$), hospital ($3.20{\pm}0.61$), and large sized comprehensive hospital ($2.93{\pm}0.74$). Consequently the satisfaction rate shows no significant difference by size of hospital. In relations between practice attitude and satisfaction with subject, the matter of acquiring information and fully understanding of the hospital for practice before practice(p=0.04), the matter of a sense of belonging and responsibility at hospital during practice(p=0.33). the matter of active adaptation attitude during practice (p=0.42), and the matter of correlations with school curriculum during practice(p=0.00) showed significant results. In relations between practice attitude and satisfaction with the hospital for practice, the matter of acquiring information and fully understanding of the hospital for practice before practice(p=0.01), the matter of a sense of belonging and responsibility at hospital during practice(p=0.04), and the matter of correlations with school curriculum during practice(p=0.00) showed significant results. Conclusion . The most essential subject for the practice in public health administration is medical terminology and there is no significance in satisfaction with the practice by size of hospital. Students were content with the hospital where they can experience as much as possible. Students content with their major show positive attitude towards the practice and so do those content with the hospital. Those with the positive attitude towards the practice show the high correlation of satisfaction with both the major and hospital. As a result, the satisfaction with the major is the significant attribute to the practice in the hospital.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of systemic oral health education on the improvement of knowledge levels and patient hygiene performance(PHP) for elementary school students. The randomly selected 1st and 5th grade students in a public elementary school of Taegu city were divided by education group(118 students) and non-education group(122 students). The oral health education lesson was systematically held on the education group once a month for 4 months. The questionnaire queried all the subjects about their knowledge and attitudes before and after oral health education, and PHP was also tested at the same time. Corresponding p-values were significantly considered at values less than 0.05. The obtained results were as follows: Due to the oral health education lesson, the education group of both 1st and 5th grade students came to have a higher knowledge level than the non-education group. There was high improvement of items such as toothbrushing time, toothbrushing method, cause of dental caries, treatment after tooth damage, and tongue-brushing. Therefore, these items should be educated to all the elementary school students. By increaseing the knowledge level of oral health after education, the PHP index in the education group was significantly decreased in comparison to the non-education group and hence the capability of oral health management improved. From the above results, a systematically and periodically oral health education system for elementary school students can improve the knowledge level and capability of oral health management. Further study will be required to develop an easy and acceptable systemic oral health education program for elementary schools.
Intraoral filled type of orthodontic appliance can cause reversible or irreversible damages such as gingivitis, periodontitis, enamel decalcification, dental caries, root resorption, and pulpal changes. Such adverse effects are brought by increase in dental plaque as well as oral flora. Such an increase causes gingival inflammation and enamel decalcification. The purpose of this study is to get klowledge on initial changes in dental plaque, gingivitis, and enamel decalcification after bonding fixed orthodontic appliances according to time flow, gender, and sides(right/left) of premolar region. For control group, 48 students of dental college, Yonsei university(26 males, 22 females) were chosen; for experimental group, 73 orthodontic patients(36 males, 37 females) who will be treated with fixed appliances were chosen. All the subjects had no systemic disease, juvenile periodontitis and all the females had passed their ,menarche. Tooth brushing instruction was given to all the subjects prior to the experiment. For control group, plaque index, gingival index, and decalcification index were measured twice at 3 weeks interval ; for experimental group, the same was done prior to, 3, 6, 9 weeks after bonding fixed appliances. The following results were obtained: 1. In plaque index 3 weeks after placement of appliances, and it showed gradual increase afterwards. 2. In gingival index3 weeks after placement of appliances, and afterwards it showed increase at a faster rate than plaque index. 3. Enamel decalcification began to show between 3 and 6 weeks after bonding fixed appliances. Decalcification index began to increase 6 weeks after appliance placement, but there was no statistical significance. 4. When the comparison was made between two sides of premolar region, the right side showed greater index in plaque and gingival index of experimental group.

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the malocclusion and dental caries in adolescents with permanent dentition. The subjects of the study were 385 adolescents aged 12 to 15 years. Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) and DMFT index were recorded as clinical indicators of malocclusion and dental caries. The mean Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) score of the subjects was 12.42 and the mean DMFT index of the subjects was 2.89. Four students (1.04%) were included in the group of orthodontic treatment mandatory, which signifies the handicapping malocclusion. Moreover, the result of gender-specific analysis of the DAI components observed that the prevalence of midline diastema and mandibular overjet were significantly higher among boys (p < 0.05). In 7 components (missing teeth, incisal segment crowding, maxillary anterior irregularity, mandibular anterior irregularity, mandibular overjet, anterior openbite, antero-posterior molar relationship) among the 10 DAI components, abnormal groups showed significantly higher DMFT index than normal groups (p < 0.05). The subjects in the group of definite to handicapping malocclusion (DAI ${\geq}$ 26) showed significantly higher DMFT index than the subjects in the group of minor or no malocclusion (p < 0.01). In addition, the DAI score had significant positive linear correlation with the DMFT index (r = 0.584, p < 0.01). Consequently, the current findings suggested a positive relationship between the malocclusion and caries prevalence. And several specific types of malocclusion were supposed to be significantly correlated with dental caries.
This study was carried out an elementary school located in B-myeon and K-myeon of Gimje. One school (test group) with a school oral health care office and three schools (control group) without school oral health care offices were selected as sample schools. The dental caries prevention effects were compared between third to sixth graders who received benefits of the school continued oral health management program of K health office in Gimje, and first and second graders who did not receive the benefits due to the suspension of the program. The decayed, missing, and filled (DMF) rate, that received the benefits of the program, the test group was 58.9% and the control group was 76.1%, showing significant difference (p<0.05). For the DMF teeth (DMFT) rate, the who received benefits from the program, the test group was 41.1% and the control group was 64.2%, showing significant difference (p<0.01). For the DMFT index, the third to sixth graders that received benefits of the program, the test group was 1.73 and the control group was 3.66 showing significant difference (p<0.001). For the decayed teeth (DT) index, it was 0.72 for the test group and 1.96 for the control group showing significant difference (p<0.001). For the filled teeth index, the test group was 0.63 for the test group and 0.99 for the control group showing significant difference (p<0.05). For the DT rate, the total test group was 57.23% and 64.16% for the control group. For who received benefits from the program, the DT rate was 54.81% for the test group and 60.98% for the control group. The effects of the student continued oral health management program carried out by the oral health office can be confirmed. It is judged that efforts for continuous maintenance and promotion will be necessary to improve the oral health of students.
This study was performed to investigate the masicatory efficiency in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), especially internal derangement of temporomandibular (TM) joint. For this study, 26 patients after treatment and 33 dental students who had no signs and symptoms of TMDs were selected as the patients group and as the normal group, respectively. Mean treatment duration of the patients was. 5.1 months. Verbal rating scale(VRS) and Visual analogue scale(VAS) were used for recording of subjective symptoms. Treatment index (VAS Ti) derived from VAS was calculated for evaluation of treatment progress and clinical examination was also performed for objective symptoms. BioEGN(Bioresearch Inc., Milwaukee, USA) was used for observation chewing movement pattern on peanut, caramel candy, and gum chewing. Chewing time in second and symptoms after chewing were recorded, and pattern of chewing stroke between in affected side and in contralateral side or between in right in left side were compared, and especially, gum chewing pattern between before and after treatment were also compared in the patients group. The data obtained were analysed by SPSS windows program and the results of this study were as follows : 1. Subjective symptoms evaluated by VAS showed no difference between the two groups, but those by VRS showed slight difference for TM joint pain, head not neck symptoms, and chewing ability. 2. There were no difference at the level of subjective symptoms between the subgroups divided by treatment duration of five months in the patients group. However, value of VAS Ti of pain was higher in subgroup of long treatment duration than that of subgroup of short treatment duration. 3. There were no difference in chewing time for peanut or caramel candy between the two groups, but on caramel candy chewing, the patients group complained slight discomfort after swallowing. Chewing velocity and range of motion on gum chewing after treatment in the patients group showed significant difference and greatly improved compared to those to before treatment, and which were not differ from those of normal subjects. In conclusion, treatment of temporomandibular disorders about for five months would greatly improve chewing ability and movement pattern in most of the patients with TMDs.
This study was performed to investigate the electromyographic(EMG) activity, firing time and sequence of the mandibular elevator muscle on gum chewing. For this study, 28 patients with temporomandibular disorders(TMD), especially internal derangement of TM joint, and 16 dental students without any signs and symptoms in the masticatory system were selected as the patients group and as the normal group, respectively. The patients group was composed of 14 right and 14 left side affected patients. For recording of EMG activity(${\mu}V$) of the anterior temporalis(TA) and the masseter muscle(MM), and measuring of firing time(millisecond) from the start of mandibular opening movement to the firing of the muscles, BioEMG, BioEGN, and Combo program integrated in the Biopak system(Bioresearch Inc., Milwaukee, USA) were used. Gum chewing stroke was performed in both right and left side for several times, and the first and the second chewing strokes were analysed and compared with regard to EMG activity, firing time, firing sequence, correlation between EMG activity and firing time. The data obtained were analysed by SPSS windows program and the results of this study were as follows : 1. In the patients group, chewing on the affected side showed higher EMG activities in the masseter of the side than those of the contralateral side, but chewing on the unaffected side showed higher EMG activity in the masseter and in the anterior temporalis of the side than those of the contralateral side. 2. There were no difference of firing time between both sides on chewing on the affected side, but firing time in the chewing side were earlier than that of contralateral side on chewing on the unaffected side in patients group. 3. In the normal group, EMG activities in the masseter and in the anterior temporalis in the chewing side were always higher than those of the contralateral side, and there were no difference of firing time between the two sides. 4. In general, firing sequence of four muscles of both sides were ipsilateral TA, ipsilateral MM, contralateral TA, and contralateral MM in earlier order of time in both groups. Correlation coefficients between EMG activity and firing time were negative value, and more significant correlation were appeared in the normal group than in the patients group.
Objectives : Because elementary school children are sensitive and prevalent to dental caries, oral health care program for the elementary school children (ESOHCP) should be met the first priority for the national oral health care program. This study was performed to proposed the guidelines for executing the efficient ESOHCP through the evaluation of present oral health care and education status based on the attitudes and opinions of health teachers. Methods : Subjects were 181 health teachers those are a part of the total 273 elementary school health teachers in Busan. From April to June 2001, questionnaire survey on the teacher's attitude and opinion, present status of oral health care and education in their own school was done. Data was analyzed by $\chi^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA using SAS (ver 6.21) program. Results : Mean age of the teachers was 40 years (24~58 years) and mean scale of the subject school was 32 classes (5~58 classes). Above 90% of them agreed with the necessity and importance of ESOHCP, but actual level of concerning was lower. They gained the informations about oral health mainly from media (33%), PC net (26%), academic society (25%), and more used internet (p=0.012) in younger generation. Though most of them (96%) had a specified school dentist, only 58% had the experience of periodic oral health examinations in their own school. The major experienced ESOHCP was fluoride brushing and contest to choose the best healthy teeth. Oral health education given by the teachers was not professional but their own. About half (42%) of the teachers had never taken education during last one year. Major education materials were VTR tape (79%), teeth model (64%), CD (55%), booklet (50%), etc., and the teachers' preference was also VTR tape (43%) and CD (41%). When they need education materials, they frequently request to dentist's association (36%), academic society (35%), but rarely to dental clinics or dentists (6%). They prefer that two times (46%) of annual oral health education, with the contents of regular brushing (53%), but lower regular visit to clinics (13%). The interest to oral health care (p=0.016) increased with teacher's age. And, they agreed regular students education in case of higher interest(p=0.044). Intention about join in the model school program was decreased with scale of school (p=0.002). Conclusions : This result showed that the present status of ESOHCP is still insufficient. It considered that the health teachers' interest and role is most important for the maintenance and success of ESOHCP. The professional and efficient education program would be focused on the health teachers to induce drive on ESOHCP.
Objectives : The author has studied about correlation of gingival exposure upon smiling and oral facial status that reduce facial aesthetic. Methods : The subjects in this study are 91 female vulunteers who were in aged $21.4{\pm}1.89$ in Suwon. Objectives should be normal oral and facial status without the prosthodontic, orthodontic appliance or conqenital missing tooth, and agree to be examined the oral status and impression taking. 1.Measure the length of gingival exposure upon smiling. 2.Measure of the size on central incisor. 3.Measure of Facial. SPSS(SPSS 10.0 for windows, SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA) was utilized for calculating the correlation coefficient between gingival exposure upon smiling and facial status. Regression analysis was calculated in order to predict the R square for gingival exposure upon smiling. Results : 1.Correlation coefficient between the gingival exposure and length of maxillary central incisor was calculated as reversed correlation(r=-.302, p<0.01), and between the gingival exposure and the ratio of the length of central incisor/width of central incisor was revealed as reversed correlation(r=-.250, p<0.05) on smiling. 2.There was correlation between the gingival exposure and the facial height(r=.351, p<0.01), the lower facial height(r=.454, p<0.01) and the upper lip height(r=.274, p<0.01) upon smiling. 3.There was correlation between the gingival exposure and the ratio of the facial height/facial width(r=.358, p<0.05), the ratio of the upper facial height/facial width(r=.214, p<0.05), and the ratio of the lower facial height/facial height(r=.383, p<0.01) upon smiling. 4.The equation of the regression analysis for gingival exposure upon smiling could be estimated as gingival exposure upon smiling=-5.139+.279${\times}$lower facial height-.615${\times}$maxillary central incisal length-.05${\times}$nasolabial angle. Conclusions : Considering these results, it recommended that treatment planning should be designed in consideration of such factors as the length of maxillary central incisor, facial height, upper lip height and lower facial height, in order to promote the easthetic problems of face on smiling.
Statement of problems: The concept of CR has also changed continuously.?In order to find out the factors that affect the centric slide, studies were carried out to compare the forms of wisdom teeth eruption, lateral movement, premature contact in CR, and anterior movement. Research and statistical methods were based on the report by the 1980 Korean dental association. Material and method: In our study, 403 dentists in their twenties and dentistry students who could understand CR and CO (and who did not receive occlusal, orthodontic treatment, without extreme caries and large prosthodontic care) were compared with the 25 year old results. A segment of line parallel to the upper incisor was marked on the lower incisor. When seen laterally, a line perpendicular to the occlusal plane was drawn on the foremost area of the upper incisor. This line was extended to the lower incisor and the two points (points at the lower and upper incisors) were used as reference points for the CO. After guiding the occlusion to the CR, two lines were marked by using the same method that was used for the CO. The point in which these lines meet became the reference point of CR occlusion Results and conclusions: Results of the experiment completed in 1980 show that all 307 research members had anterior-posterior and upper-lower displacement. Displacement measurements were $0.7{\pm}0.4mm$ for the anterior-posterior displacement, $0.99{\pm}0.50mm$ for the upper-lower displacement,0.18{\pm}0.31 mm for the lateral displacement, and $1.32{\pm}0.67mm$ for the total displacement. Results of the 2006 experiment show that all 409 research members had anterior-posterior and upper-lower displacement. The anterior-posterior displacement was $1.12{\pm}0.86mm$, the upper-lower displacement was $1.02{\pm}0.71mm$, the lateral displacement was $0.61{\pm}0.56mm$, and the total displacement was $1.80{\pm}0.99mm$. No specific differences were found between each group when comparing displacement according to the forms of wisdom teeth eruption. Since 1980, the percentage of unerupted teeth has increased from 35.16% (111/307 people) to 57.5% (236/409 people). Westernization of the Korean cranial form and intraoral structure has brought about these results. In our experiment, 26.7% (109/409 people) of the subjects were cuspid guided, while 7.3% (30/409 people) were mutually guided. No specific differences were found in the amount of displacement between the two groups. Only the subjects with anteriors coming in contact made up the largest percentage group (42.3%, 173/409 people) in our study. No specific differences were found between each group.

제 5 장 계약 해지 및 이용 제한

② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.
[부 칙]
1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
