A magnitude of generated harmonic currents along with the operation of traction has nonlinear characteristics. The harmonic currents generated along with the operating speed of electrical railroad traction is to analyze very difficulty. This paper therefore presents probabilistic approach for the harmonic currents evaluation about the operating speed of the arbitrary single traction. To use probabilistic method for railroad system, probability density function(PDF) using measuring data based on the realistic harmonic currents per operating speed is calculated. Mean and variance of harmonic currents of single traction also are obtained the PDF of the operating speed and electrical railroad traction model. Uncertainty of harmonic currents expects to results through mean and variance with PDF. The probability of harmonic currents generated with the operating of arbitrary many tractions is calculated by the convolution of functions. The harmonics of different number of tractions are systematically investigated. It is assessed by the total demand distortion(TDD) for the railroad system.
The harmonic currents generated along with the operating speed of electrical railroad traction are very difficult to analyze because of its nonlinear characteristics. This paper therefore presents probabilistic approach for the evaluation of harmonic currents about the operating speed of the arbitrary single traction. To use probabilistic method for railroad system, PDF(Probability Density Function) using measuring data based on the realistic h 따 monic currents per operating speed is calculated. Measuring data of harmonic current per operating speed is obtained using the result data of PSCAD/EMTDC dynamic simulation based on an IAT(Intra Airport Transit) in Incheon International Airport. The means(expected values) and variances of harmonic currents of single traction also are obtained by the PDF of the operating traction speed and harmonic currents. The uncertainty of harmonic currents can be calculated through the mean and variance of PDF. The probability of harmonic currents generated with the operating of arbitrary many tractions is calculated by the convolution of functions. The harmonics of different number of tractions are systematically investigated to assess the TDD(Total Demand Distortion) for the railroad system. The calculation of TDD was carried out using Monte-Carlo Simulations(MSCs) and the results of TDD evaluation of the power quality in the IAT power feeding system.
Flow prediction was carried out through observational survey and three dimensional multi-layered numerical diagnostic model experiment to clarify the time and spatial structure of tidal current and residual flow dominant in the sea exchange and material circulation of the waters around Geumo Islands in the southern waters of Korea. The horizontal variation of tidal current is so large that it causes asymmetric tidal mixing due to horizontal eddies and the topographical effect creating convergence and dispersion of flow direction and velocity. Due to strong tidal currents flowing northwest-southeast, counterclockwise and clockwise eddies are formed on the left and right sides of the south of Sori Island. These topographical eddies are created by horizontal turbulence and bottom friction causing nonlinear effects. Baroclinic density flows are less than 5 cm/s at coastal area in summer and the entire sea area in winter. The wind driven currents assuming summer and winter seasonal winds are also less than 5 cm/s and the current flow rate is high in winter. Density current in summer and wind driven current in winter have a relatively greater effect on the net residual flows (tidal residual current + density current + density driven current) around Geumo Islands Sea area.
Magnitude of generated harmonic currents along with the operation of AC traction has nonlinear characteristics, and generated harmonic currents for high speed traction are more and more in high speed railroad(HSR) systems, especially. This paper presents probabilistic approximation method for the harmonic currents analysis about the operating speed of AC traction. To use probabilistic method for HSR system, probability density function(PDF) for collected operating speed based measure data is calculated. Mean and variance of harmonic currents of single traction are obtained based on the operating speed PDF and electrical traction model. The results of Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS) are in well accordance with the experimental and analytic methods. The harmonics of different number of trainloads are systematically investigated. It is assessed by the total demand distortion(TDD) for the HSR system.
This paper deals with the distribution characteristics of the current density and axial magnetic flux density for each slits made on the contact electrode in the vacuum interrupter with axial magnetic field type using 3-dimension finite element analysis. It has been known that the presence of an axial magnetic field parallel to the current flow in the arc plasma can increase the high current breaking capacity of vacuum interrupter by carrying out the arc plasma from constricted mode to diffusion mode. The axial magnetic field is created of itself by current flow in the segments of coil electrode behind the contact electrode. The analyzed results show that if the slits are made in the contact electrode, they can increase the current density and axial magnetic flux density in the contact electrode surface and at the gap distance, which is due to decrease the effect of eddy currents flowing in the contact electrode. The phase shift due to eddy currents, defined 3s time difference between the maximum value of current and axial magnetic field, is decreased still more by increasing the number of slits made in the contact electrode at the center point of gap distance. These results demonstrate that 3-dimension finite element analysis has a great deal of merits in the development and evaluation of new electrode at the design of vacuum interrupter.
Several factors can affect the formation of bone tissues surrounding implants. One of the factors is electrical stimulation. It is known to change the movement of cells, form and destroy cells, and alter concentration and chemical component of soft tissues and bones. The effect of electrical stimulation on bone formation can vary according to the intensity of electric currents, stimulating time, the method of sending electric currents, and tissues and cells currents are applied to. This study examines how various enviroments affect osteoblasts. (1) effect on osteoblast with varying intensity of currents Osteoblast-like cells were raised on four plates where implants can be placed. A constant current sink (MC3T3-E1) that can adjust the intensity and stimulating time of electric currents was used. The four plates were stimulated with $0{\mu}A$, $10{\mu}A$, $20{\mu}A$, and $40{\mu}A$, respectively. After 24 hours of stimulation, the number and distribution of cells surrounding implants were examined. (2) effect on osteoblast with varying conditions The 3 study was performed with same method. (1) The change of attached cell number 72-hour after application of various currents (2) The change of attached cell number 72-hour after application of various interval (3) The comparison of attached cell number by implant surface texture The following are the results: 1. The distribution and density of cells surrounding implant is highest under the intensity of electric currents of $20{\mu}A$. 2. The number of cells attached implants is highest under the intensity of electric currents of $20{\mu}A$. 3. The number of cells attached implants is highest under continous electric currents 4. The number of cells attached implants is not different by implant surface texture.
The content of harmonic current increases with an increase in the number of power electronic devices in power grid. When a generator is directly connected to the power grid through a step-up transformer, the influence of the harmonic currents on the generator is inevitable. To study the influences of harmonics on generators, a 24-MW bulb tubular turbine generator is taken as an example in this paper. A 2-D transient electromagnetic field model is established. Through a comparative analysis of the data of experiments and simulations, the correctness of the model is verified. The values of the air gap magnetic density, torque and losses of the generator under various conditions are calculated using the finite element method. Taking the rated condition as a reference, the influence of the harmonic currents on the magnetic flux density is analyzed. It is confirmed that the time harmonic is a key factor affecting the generator performance. At the same time, the effects of harmonic currents on the torque ripple, average torque and eddy current loss of the generator are studied, and the mechanism of the variation of the eddy current loss is also discussed.
Many bipolar logic circuit of conventional occurred problem of speed delay according to deep saturation state of vertical NPN Transistor. In order to remove minority carries of the base region at changing signal in conventional bipolar logic circuit, we made transistor which is composed of NPN transistor shortened buried layer under the Base region, PNP transistor which is merged in base, epi layer and substrate. Also the Ring-Oscillator for measuring transmission time-delay per gate was designed as well. The structure of Gate consists of the vertical NPN Transistor, substrate and Merged PNP Transistor. In the result, we fount that tarriers which are coming into intrinsic Base from Emitter and the portion of edge are relatively a lot, so those make Base currents a lot and Gain is low with a few of collector currents because of cutting the buried layer of collector of conventional junction area. Merged PNP Transistor's currents are low because Base width is wide and the difference of Emitter's density and Base's density is small. we get amplitude of logic voltage of 200mv, the minimum of transmission delay-time of 211nS, and the minimum of transmission delay-time per gate of 7.26nS in AC characteristic output of Ring-Oscillator connected Gate.
In this research, the finite difference lattice Boltzmann method(FDLBM) is used to analyze gravity currents in the lock exchange configuration that occur in many natural and man-made situations. At a lock those are seen when a gate is suddenly opened, and, in the atmosphere, when the thunderstorm outflows make a cold front. At estuaries in the ocean, the phenomenon is found between fresh water from a river and salt water in the sea. Since such interesting phenomena were recognized, pioneers have challenged to make them clear by conducing both experiments and analysis. Most of them were about the currents of liquid or Boussinesq fluids, which are assumed as incompressible. Otherwise, the difference in density of two fluids is small. The finite difference lattice Boltzmann method has been a powerful tool to simulate the flow of compressible fluids. Also, numerical predictions using FDLBM to clarify the gravity currents of compressible fluids exhibit all features, but typically observed in experimental flows near the gravity current head, including the lobe-and-cleft structure at the leading edge.
