The crystal structure of ZnS fabricated by gas-liquid phase reaction was refined by the Rietveld program using X-ray diffraction data. The R-weighted pattern (R$\sub$wp/) of ZnS powder was 10.85%. The fraction of HCP phase was closely related with extra amount of H$_2$S gas. The lattice parameters and crystalline size were changed by the relative ratio of multi-phase. The luminescence property of ZnS:Cu, Al green phosphors prepared by conventional methods was good in the range of 91∼94% and 150∼190${\AA}$, respectively. According to the maximum entropy electron density(MEED) methods, any defects in (001) plane of cubic phase were not found. We suggest that both the Rietveld and maximum entropy density methods may be useful tools for studying luminescence mechanism of other phosphors materials.
Sintering behaviors of the glass-alumina composites for low firing temperature were investigated as a function of the particle size of glass frit. The system of glass frit was Pb-B-Si-Al-O. The median particle sizes of the glass frits were 2.72$\mu\textrm{m}$, 2.67$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 1.33$\mu\textrm{m}$, which were prepared with changing ball-milling times as 24 h, 48 h and 96 h. The glass-alumina composites showed maximum density at certain temperature, and further heating led to dedensification behaviors, so called over-firing. The sintering temperature, which showed maximum density, raised from 425$^{\circ}C$ to 475$^{\circ}C$ with increase of particle size of glass frit from 1.33$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 2.72$\mu\textrm{m}$. Especially, the over firing behaviors, which were occurred at high sintering temperatures, were greatly increased with decrease of particle size of glass frit.

We consider zero range processes with density dependent jump rates g given by $g=g(n,k)=g_1(n)g_2(k/n)$ with $g_1(x)=x^{-\alpha}$ and $$g_2(x)=\{^{x^{-\alpha}\;if\;a<x}_{Mx^{-\alpha}\;if\;x{\leq}a}$$. (0.1) In this case, with 1/2 < a < 1 and ${\alpha}$ > 0, we show that non-complete condensation occurs with maximum cluster size an. More precisely, for any ${\epsilon}$ > 0, there exists $M^*$ > 0 such that, for any 0 < M ${\leq}M^*$, the maximum cluster size is between (a - ${\epsilon}$)n and (a + ${\epsilon}$)n for large n. This provides a simple example of non-complete condensation under perturbation of rates which are deep in the range of perfect condensation (e.g. ${\alpha}$ >> 1) and supports the instability of the condensation transition.
This paper deals with optimum design criteria for maximum torque density & minimum torque ripple of Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) according to the rated wattage using response surface methodology (RSM). The RSM has been achieved to use the experimental design method in combination with Finite Element Method and well adapted to make analytical model for a complex problem considering a lot of interaction of design variables. The proposed procedure allows to define the rotor optimum shape for maximum torque density & minimum torque ripple starting from an existing motor or a preliminary design.
This study determines the best composite grade to minimize the void of aggregate mixture based on the maximum density theory in an attempt to suggest a mix proportion method design for asphalt mixtures. Study results show that the grading curve with the maximum mass per unit capacity of each aggregate mixture satisfied the KS standards and the optimum AP content to meet the optimal asphalt mixture void rate of 4$\%$ was 5.7$\%$, less than the optimum AP content of 6.5$\%$ suggested in the Marshal mix proportion method design. At the same time, the asphalt mixture produced based upon the suggested mix proportion method had a flow value 17$\%$ lower than that of asphalt mixture produced according to the Marshal method, while its density was greater by 0.06$\~$0.09. This suggests that the introduced mix proportion method design helps to improve the shape flexibility and crack-resistance of asphalt concrete.

The use of the pulsed electro acoustic (PEA) method allowed us to perform the direct observations of spatio-temporal charge distributions in Electric double layer capacitors (EDLCs) based on polarizable nanoporous carbonaceous electrode. The negative charge density became the maximum, about $205C/m^3$ at the region where was near to collector layer in EDLCs for case $V_{DC}=2.5V$, while the positively charged density became the maximum, about $61.1C/m^3$ at the region where it was located around the cathode layer. The performance of the best sample was found to be better in terms of the charge density (Cs) and specific energy ($E_s$) with a maximum value of ${\sim}8.4F/g$ and 26 Wh/kg. The $C_s$ obtained from the PEA method agreed well with that from the energy conversion method. The PEA measurement used here is a very useful method to quantitively investigates the spatio-temporal charge distribution in EDLCs.
For identification and apportionment of sources emitting particulate matters in environment, the multi-elemental characterization of size-density fractionated particulate matters was carried out. Eight types of samples were tested; soil, flyash released from burning of bunker-Coil, diesel oil, coal, and soft coal, urban road-way dust, urban dust fall, and airborne particulate matter. The fractions of particulate matters obtained by heavy liquid separation methos with a series of dichloromethane-bromoform were then analyzed using atomic absorption spectrophotometry for Ni, Cr, Cu, An, Fe, Al, and Mg. Each sample showed a different concentration profile as a function of density, and a number of useful conclusions concerning characterization of elemental distribution were obtained. From the density distributions of elements in soil, the maximum value was found for all elements in the density range of 2.2 $\sim 2.9g.cm^{-3}$, including the density of $SiO_2$. However, the distribution of metallic compounds with the density lower than $2.2g.cm^{-3}$ was prevalent in urban roadway dust, urban dust fall, and airborne particulate matter. And the density distribution curves of these urban dusts also have the higher distribution at the density of 2.2 - 2.9g.cm^{-3}$, including the density of wind-blown silica. This tendency generally was prevalent in the natural source elements, such as Al, Fe, Mn, and Mg. The maximum values were found in the density ranges of 1.3 $\sim 2.2g.cm^{-3}$ from the density distribution of elements in oil fired flyash. These distributions of anthropogenic source elements, such as Zn, Ni, Cu, and Cr were higher predominately than those of natural source elements. And the higher distribution was found in the density range of $2.2 \sim 2.9g.cm^{-3}$ from the density distribution of elements in coal and soft-coal fired flyash. These distributions showed similar patterns to soil. But anthropogenic source elements somewhat predominated at the density ranges of $1.3 \sim 2.2g.cm{-3} and 2.9g.cm^{-3}$ to soil. Therefore the higher distribution of anthropogenic source elements in the density ranges of $1.3 \sim 2.2g.cm^{-3} and 2.9g.cm^{-3}$ was considered as anthropogenic origin.

Wrought Si-steels are generally used for electromagnetic valves, which are needed good response. To date, Hitachi Powdered Metals Co., Ltd. have produced Fe-Si base sintered magnetic material, EU-52, which shows a magnetic flux density of more than 1.25T at 2000A/m and a maximum permeability of more than 3500. However these magnetic properties are lower than that of wrought Si-steels. Because EU-52 has a low density of $7.2Mg/m^3$. For improving the magnetic properties, it is necessary to increase the density of sintered cores. To increase density, a new mixing method of coating fine Si powders on atomized iron powders was developed, for avoiding the Kirkendall effect. As the result, developed P/M Fe-Si magnetic cores shows higher density of $7.38Mg/m^3$, higher magnetic flux density of 1.48T at 2000A/m and higher maximum permeability of 6800.
Ti-6Al-4V alloy has a wide range of applications, ranging from turbine blades that require smooth surfaces for aerodynamic purposes to biomedical implants, where a certain surface roughness promotes biomedical compatibility. Therefore, it would be advantageous if the high volumetric density is maintained while controlling the surface roughness during the LPBF of Ti-6Al-4V. In this study, the volumetric energy density is varied by independently changing the laser power and scan speed to document the changes in the relative sample density and surface roughness. The results where the energy density is similar but the process parameters are different are compared. For comparable energy density but higher laser power and scan speed, the relative density remained similar at approximately 99%. However, the surface roughness varies, and the maximum increase rate is approximately 172%. To investigate the cause of the increased surface roughness, a nonlinear finite element heat transfer analysis is performed to compare the maximum temperature, cooling rate, and lifetime of the melt pool with different process parameters.
