With the recent development of 3D printers, there is a growing need to make them similar to real products. As a result, FDM full-color 3D printers have been developed and actively distributed, but GUI design has fallen short of that, causing confusion among users. Accordingly, this study conducted a literature survey, and through a case study, the current status of FDM full-color 3D printers was identified and the components of GUI design were analyzed based on prior research. The draft checklist was drawn up according to the components of the derived GUI design, and 24 items were deleted through the three Delphi surveys and the validity of the remaining 26 items was verified. As a result, the layout should consist of intuitive screen configuration and menus with high frequency of use, and the text should be intuitive and clearly communicated. In addition, the icon should be placed in a visible position and used in real life to image it. Finally, we could see that the color should be used to give feedback to the user using the highlight color and not overlap the output.
This study was carried out to find out the possibility for developing methodologies on the index for forest sustainability and to assess sustainability indices of metropolitan and provincial districts based on conditions of their forest health and management programmes in Korea. To find out some indicators to be utilized in developing the forest sustainability indices, total 84 possible indicators were selected and combined from 69 major programmes contained in the 4th Forest Development Plan and the Forest Vision for 21st Century and other 15 indicators selected separately from other forest policies. Those candidate indicators were reviewed throughly under evaluation processes and 33 indicators were finally chosen in developing the forest sustainability indices. Those indicators were classified into 3 categories, namely indicators for pressure, state, and response. Forest health could be represented by pressure and state indicators, while forest management programmes could be assessed by response indicators. Scores of importance for each indicator were assigned through Delphi survey and analyzed to project the extra weight value by summing rankings given to each index an applied to the standardized value of each index. Forest sustainability indices of metropolitan and provincial districts were analyzed and compared, based on relevant data of the year 2002. This study was kind a preliminary one in forest sustainability index and the names of metropolitan and provincial districts were not identified in this study. The indices could be very valuable in assessing quantitatively the level of forest health and intensity of forest management programmes in each districts and comparisons could be made among them, if all self-governing districts agree unanimously on the indices of forest sustainability and relevant indicators chosen in the study.
Recently, climate change risk assessment has been discussed as a medium process for making climate change adaptation policies in the research field of climate change adaptation. Climate change risk assessment has been understood to have an intermediary role among impact assessment, vulnerable assessment and policy, and is used in the process of devising adaptation policies in the United Kingdom (UK). This paper quantitatively assessed the risks of climate change in Korea, applied the methods used in the UK, underwent the classification process and suggested implications of Korean adaptation policies. A survey of experts, based on Delphi's method and the classification criterion developed by Klinke and Renn(2002), was also carried out. A list of climate risks was created from the climate change impact and vulnerability assessment report of Korea, first national adaptation policy of Korea, and general climate risks of the UK. From the results, 42 risks out of total 125 risks were selected based on their importance. The assessed risks with factors, such as high impact and urgency, are related to repeated and large scale damage from storms and floods caused by abnormal or extreme weather events. Ecological changes and social infrastructure risks were engaged as required as a policy response for medium to longer term. As for making the classification, types of climate risks were suggested to manage the basic capacity in relation to social trust, triggering mechanism and responsibility. Following suggestions are put forward as the base of autonomous adaptation: increasing the capacity of civil society, mutual trust and civil participation in adaptation policy process.
This study was undertaken to analyze the hygienic problems of group food services and to predict the outbreak patterns of future food-borne diseases. A delphi survey with 20 experts identified the main causes of food-borne outbreaks in group food services as improper hygienic management of raw food materials, washing of worker's hands, dividing the spaces and unsanitary retail storage. Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Escherichia coli (EPEC), non-typhoid Salmonella serotypes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli (ETEC), norovirus, and the hepatitis A virus all have potential to cause outbreaks of food-borne disease. We analyzed the daily food use and the possibility of food-borne outbreaks in school food services for fruits, milk, fish, pork, eggs, and meat as raw food materials, and bibimbab, soybean sprouts muchim, spinach namul, cucumber sengchae, jabchae, and pork bulgogi as prepared food items. Frozen (${\leq}\;-20^{\circ}C$) and refrigerated ($0{\sim}10^{\circ}C$) processed foods are popular items in group food services. Their storage, heating, and chemical sanitization methods are potential sources of food disease outbreaks. Our results can be applied to a well-organized hygiene control system and can be used to develop menus for preventing food-borne outbreaks.
The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation index that can assess the Army training program of Green Camp. The result of the evaluation index phased-developed with the CIPP model is summarized below. First, the literature review with documents relevant to program evaluation, Green Camp field research, and expert discussions were used to select factors considered for evaluation and develop a preliminary evaluation area and item for the four areas within the CIPP evaluation model. Second, an initial survey targeting Green Camp and soldiers in the Capital Defense Command examined the preliminary reliability·validity, and the Focused Group discussions were used to supplement the evaluation index. Third, secondary surveys were conducted in four battalions in Gangwon-do and third surveys targeted officers from twelve different corps and personnels related to the Green Camp which verified descriptive statistics analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and correlation analysis in version SPSS 24. Fourth, with the validation verification procedure, 16 evaluation area and 36 evaluation index was confirmed. Fifth, the 36 evaluation index developed was subdivided into 57 indexes and the Delphi method was applied through the policy expert to formulate 43 generalized indexes. The significance of this phased research approach was considered for the institutionalization of the usage of scientific evaluation(index) and development in policy process.

The purpose of this study is to develope an assessment method for parking lot remodeling alternative by adopting the asset management technique. In order to identify the Level of Service(LOS) and the Evaluation Measurement(EM), literatures was implemented which documented the consideration of parking lot plan, needs of the apartments' tenant, and various design standards. In addition, the authors conducted a three-time delphi survey for the identified 5 LOS and 19 EM to evaluate suitability and necessity of them and to collect additional opinion of experts. The LOS of parking lot were categorized into 5 areas such as Environmental effect and Convenience, Accessibility and so on. The 19 EM were determined to estimate the LOS quantitatively. The researchers analyzed the degree of importance of LOS and EM by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. But construction cost was excepted from the analysis, because it is used as an independent variable in alternative assessment. In conclusion, the authors proposed the estimation criteria for EM, and the method and process for alternative assessment be performed to benefit-cost analysis using the LOS variation and construction cost. The assessment method for parking lot remodeling alternative was demonstrated effective to assess the parking lot remodeling alternative by case-study. This study has a academic significance by adopting the asset management techniques in the area of the parking lot remodeling. And the assessment method is expected to help deciding a reasonable remodeling alternative of parking lot, as it ensures the diversity for remodeling of the parking lot and reflects the needs of the occupant.
We have developed the Forest Carbon Sink Index on afforestation and reforestation activities, a regulation stated in article 26 of the 'Law on the maintenance and enhancement of carbon sink (Carbon Sink Law)', which took effect on March, 2013. According to the legal purpose to evaluate the performance of individual forest carbon offset projects and to compare each other at a certain point, values of the forest carbon sink index were calculated by the scoring method. Three criteria were established based on the Carbon Sink Law: 'Carbon' (real greenhouse gas reduction), 'Human' (socio-economic effect) and 'Nature' (environmental effect). Continuously, 9 indicators from the three criteria were selected by top-down approach; the adequacy of each criteria and indicators were reviewed through on-line Delphi survey; and finally weighted value of each criteria and indicators were assigned. To reflect the characteristics of the domestic forest carbon offset projects, which focus on corporate social responsibility-typed projects, we applied the score weighting method to minimize gaps among criteria and ones among indicators. After applying our newly developed forest carbon sink index to five domestic forest carbon offset projects, we could confirm that the criteria of 'Human' and 'Nature', which criteria are in relatively low weight, can play a role as an actual incentive to reduce negative socio-economic and environmental impacts. Based on performance evaluation of the five forest carbon offset project by the forest carbon sink index, the best or good performance project developers could be rewarded, and further the performance evaluation would work as an incentive to stimulate the involvement of domestic project developers in the field of forest carbon offset project.

This paper presents the quantitative evaluation method for technologies acquired from the defense offset program. We firstly deduced the consideration in development by gathering the opinions of 128 experts by conducting a survey. Next, we made up an additional 49 experts for developing a performance management system of the offset program. The management system covered 4 technology fields which are defense R&D, depot maintenance, performance improvement, and manufacturing. The development procedure was composed of 4 parts: setting-up of work process, defining performance indicators, calculating weighted values of each indicator, and devising quantitative method. The results of this research could be used for enhancing the effectiveness of the offset program in 3 ways: establishing a systematic work process after acquisition of technology in offset program, establishing the positive feedback architecture by providing incentives to superior institute or company which is appointed through quantitative performance evaluating, and publicizing and promoting quantified outstanding performances for contributing to advance the offset program.
Hanok (a traditional Korean-style house) has recently become a popular attraction for tourists all over the world. Jeonju Hanok Village, for example, attracted about 10 million visitors for 2 consecutive years. Observing Hanok's popularity, many local governments drew up plans to improve tourism dynamics by strengthening the advantages of Hanok. Emotionally rich experience is required to offer a greater satisfying experience that meets the demands of tourists. However, very few studies yet have addressed how to measure those emotions felt by users while experiencing Hanok. As an attempt to improve this situation, 182 emotional words were collected from earlier studies and classified into 33 groups with the Delphi method. Among the emotional words in each of the 33 groups, those of overlapping concepts on the characteristics of Hanok were re-grouped, and extracted the most appropriate 68 words. Additionally, a survey was conducted with 325 people who had experienced Hanok to gather 30-most representative emotions for measuring emotions felt from Hanok. The factor analysis of the 30 representative emotions resulted in classified 6 factors based on common features of emotional words: senses of aesthetics, happiness, novelty, ownership, balance and relaxation. The 30 representative emotions and six emotion categories found out by this study can help measure how much people feel certain emotions while experiencing hanoks. Further study will explore the degree of emotions hanok users feel about objects of hanok, such as roof materials and shapes, and body shapes.
As environmental problems accompanied by industrialization have emerged worldwide, solar and wind energy have entered the stage of commercialization, especially in Korea. In addition, research on improving aesthetics using solar cells is being actively conducted. Examples include developing a transmissive solar cell and developing a solar cell with flexibility and color. Therefore, in line with the upward trend of solar cell development and solar cell-based public facility installation, we will present guidelines for designing public facilities using solar cells to improve aesthetics. First of all, components were derived to increase the suitability of solar cell application through literature surveys on solar cells and case studies on public facilities using solar cells. Next, through prior research on public facility guidelines, we established evaluation principles and drafted design guidelines. Based on this, a Delphi survey was conducted on a group of experts to verify its validity. Design guidelines for solar cells application measures to improve the final public design aesthetics were derived. The goal is to improve the public facilities using solar cells, through Accessibility and cognition, Usability, Shape and aesthetics, Sustainability and energy efficiency, Continuity with the urban landscape. And it is expected that this data will be used to improve the aesthetics of public design using solar cells in the future.
