  • With the activation of non-face-to-face services, the use of delivery service platforms has been increasing. At this juncture, this study empirically analyzed the impact of customer experience on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in the context of delivery service platforms. Specifically, the study segmented customer experience into four sub-factors: product experience, moments of truth, outcome focus, and peace of mind, and analyzed their individual impacts on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The independent variables, representing customer experience, were divided into the aforementioned four sub-factors. The mediating variable was customer satisfaction, and the dependent variables were repurchase intention and recommendation intention. A survey was conducted with customers who have used delivery service platforms, and 300 valid responses were utilized for the analysis. The empirical results are as follows: all four sub factors - product experience, moments of truth, outcome focus, and peace of mind - significantly and positively influenced satisfaction with the delivery service platform. Among these, peace of mind had the most substantial impact. Additionally, customer satisfaction was found to mediate the relationships between product experience, moments of truth, outcome focus, peace of mind, and both repurchase intention and recommendation intention. This study is academically significant as it segments and examines customer experience into four distinct factors. Practically, it highlights the importance of providing peace of mind to reassure customers as the most crucial factor in enhancing their satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Osteosarcoma (OSA) is a difficult cancer to treat due to its tendency for relapse and metastasis; advanced methods are therefore required for OSA treatment. In this study, we prepared a local drug-delivery system for OSA treatment based on doxorubicin·hydrochloride (DOX·HCl)/cisplatin (CP)-loaded visible light-cured glycol chitosan (GC) hydrogel/(2-hydroxypropyl)-beta-cyclodextrin (GDHCP), and compared its therapeutic efficiency with that of DOX·HCl- and CP-loaded GC hydrogels (GD and GHCP). Because of diffusion driven by concentration gradients in the swollen matrix, the three hydrogels showed sustained releases of DOX·HCl and CP over 7 days, along with initial 3-h bursts. Results of in vitro cell viability and in vivo animal testing revealed that GDHCP had a stronger anticancer effect than GD and GHCP even though there were no significant differences. Body weight measurement and histological evaluations demonstrated that the drug-loaded GC hydrogels had biocompatibility without cardiotoxicity or nephrotoxicity. These results suggested that GDHCP could be a good platform as a local drug-delivery system for clinical use in OSA treatment.

  • In this paper, we proposed an autonomous vehicle platform that delivers goods to a designated destination based on the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) map generated indoors by applying the Visual SLAM technology. To generate a SLAM map indoors, a depth camera for SLAM map generation was installed on the top of a small autonomous vehicle platform, and a tracking camera was installed for accurate location estimation in the SLAM map. In addition, a convolutional neural network (CNN) was used to recognize the label of the destination, and the driving algorithm was applied to accurately arrive at the destination. A prototype of an indoor delivery autonomous vehicle was manufactured, and the accuracy of the SLAM map was verified and a destination label recognition experiment was performed through CNN. As a result, the suitability of the autonomous driving vehicle implemented by increasing the label recognition success rate for indoor delivery purposes was verified.

  • In this paper, the dynamic buffering based smart OTT platform was proposed, and analyzed for adaptive bit-rate video delivery with the optimization of HLS (HTTP Live Streaming). This platform consists of the software platform between sever and client which detects the bandwidth capacity, and adjusts the quality of the streaming for multiple bit-rates resolutions. In order to apply adaptive buffering, two buffers are added to the basic HLS player, and each buffer is responsible for constantly buffering a previous and the next channels relative to the current channel. This adaptive transmitting with smart OTT platform is superior to delivering a static video file at a single buffering, because the video stream of adaptive double buffers can be switched streaming according to client's available network speed. As a result, this proposed smart OTT can be cooperated to the application of HLS server with segmented H.265 MPEG-2 TS video & m3u8 files with its information based on the optimized transmission channel state of live and VOD, and applied to PLC transmission, too.

  • Purpose: The marginal bone levels around implants following restoration are used as a reference for evaluating implant success and survival. Two design concepts that can reduce crestal bone resorption are the microthread and platform-switching concepts. The aims of this study were to analyze the placement of microthreaded and platform-switched implants and their short-term survival rate, as well as the level of bone around the implants. Methods: The subjects of this study were 27 patients (79 implants) undergoing treatment with microthreaded and platform-switched implants between October 2008 and July 2009 in the Dental Hospital of Yonsei University Department of Periodon-tology. The patients received follow-up care more than 6 months after the final setting of the prosthesis, at which time periapical radiographs were taken. The marginal bone level was measured from the reference point to the lowest observed point of contact between the marginal bone and the fixture. Comparisons were made between radiographs taken at the time of fixture installation and those taken at the follow-up visit. Results: During the study period (average of 11.8 months after fixture installation and 7.4 months after the prosthesis delivery), the short-term survival rate of microthreaded and platform-switched implants was 100% and the marginal bone loss around implants was $0.16{\pm}0.08$ mm, the latter of which is lower than the previously reported values. Conclusions: This short-term clinical study has demonstrated the successful survival rates of a microthread and platform-switched implant system, and that this system is associated with reduced marginal bone loss.

  • Donation-based crowdfunding(DBC) is conducted from voluntary participation by project operators. It requires a different operational strategy than general crowdfunding. However, there is a limited amount of research on the operational strategy of DBC. This study explores the value co-creation(VCC) strategy of DBC and analyzes the operation of DonorsChoose.org. The research questions encompass the following: First, we identify the VCC activities of DBC. Second, we uncover activities of the platform operators that facilitate the participation of project operators in VCC activities. Third, we explore how VCC activities affect project operational performance and platform performance in DBC. By adopting a single case study method on DonorsChoose.org, this study provides meaningful insight and detailed understanding into the VCC in DBC. First, VCC processes of DBC are identified(Co-ideation, Co-design, Co-funding, Co-operation, and Co-evaluation). Also, interactions between platform operators and project operators were defined at each stage. Second, this study confirmed that standardization and simplification of platform operators, support for pre- and post-activity, and high-quality information delivery activities were critical. Third, we confirm that these VCC activities improve VCC operational performance and platform performance. The theoretical significance of this study is that the concept of VCC, previously concentrated on participants with economic drivers(consumers and investors), has been applied to the context of DBC, a form of participation by participants with non-economic drivers(supporters and donors). In addition, this study practically contributes to the practice of VCC strategy among various platform operating strategies in DBC.
