Minimizing the cylinder wear and the consumption rate of cylinder oil in a large two-stroke marine diesel engine is of great economic importance. In Korea, a motor-driven cylinder lubricator for a large two-stroke marine diesel engine manufactured by $W{\ddot{a}}rtsil{\ddot{a}}$ Switzerland Co., Ltd. was first developed by authors through the joint research of industry-university in 2002. The characteristic of the developed product is that can control automatically the oil feed rate to a load fluctuation by the motor drive and the offset cam. The performance of the product is not also inferior to the conventional one. For manufacturing the reliable and useful products, however, it is necessary to investigate further characteristics and improve the performance of a cylinder lubricator. In this study, the effect of quill with and without accumulator on maximum discharge pressure, delivery delay duration and oil feed rate relative to motor revolution speed using plunger stroke as a parameter is experimentally investigated by using the developed cylinder lubricator. It is found that the maximum discharge pressure with accumulator is higher than that of no accumulator as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are elevated, and the delivery delay duration with accumulator is shorter than that of no accumulator as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are increased. Also, oil feed rate with accumulator is less than that of no accumulator except for a plunger stroke of 2 mm as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are raised.

The motor-driven cylinder lubricator was first developed fur a large two-stroke marine diesel engine made in $W{\ddot{a}}rtsil{\ddot{a}}a$ Switzerland Ltd. by the joint research of industry-university. In this study, the effects of revolution speed, plunger stroke and cylinder back pressure on maximum discharge and delivery pressures, delivery delay duration, and oil feed rate are experimentally investigated by the home-manufactured cylinder lubricator. The maximum discharge pressure with a spot of 0.03 m and the maximum loss pressure at spots of 5, 6.78 and i 0 m away from the end of lubricator slot are increased as plunger stroke, revolution speed and back pressure are elevated, and the delivery delay duration is shortened as plunger stroke, revolution speed and oil pipe length are increased. Also, oil feed rate is increased as plunger stroke and revolution speed are raised, but lowered as the back pressure is increased.

Activity durations retain probabilistic and stochastic natures due to diverse factors causing the delay or acceleration of activity completion. These natures make the final project duration to be a random variable. These factors are the major source of financial risk. Extending the Stochastic Project Scheduling Simulation system (SPSS) developed in previous research; this research presents a method to estimate how the final project duration behaves when activity durations change randomly. The final project cost is estimated by considering the fluctuation of indirect cost, which occurs due to the delay or acceleration of activity completion, along with direct cost assigned to an activity. The final project cost is estimated by considering how indirect cost behaves when activity duration change. The method quantifies the amount of contingency to cover the expected delay of project delivery. It is based on the quantitative analysis to obtain the descriptive statistics from the simulation outputs (final project durations). Existing deterministic scheduling method apply an arbitrary figures to the amount of delay contingency with uncertainty. However, the stochastic method developed in this research allows computing the amount of delay contingency with certainty and certain degree of confidence. An example project is used to illustrate the quantitative analysis method using simulation. When the statistical location and shape of probability distribution functions defining activity durations change, how the final project duration and cost behave are ascertained using automated sensitivity analysis method

Construction project has many problem such as delay of the appointed date delivery, over budget, wether and site conditions. When several activities are influenced by the same factor, their duration may be delayed. This paper deals with the problem of construction duration estimating and schedule variation on the construction project. The theory of constraints technique for project management is referred to 'Critical Chain' technique. This paper shows optimal scheduling plan and time management technique, used probability construction duration estimating and scheduling buffer based on the critical chain project management.

We conduct this study to compare the difference in duration of labor in nulliparous women received epidural analgesia or non-epidural analgesia for labor pain. This retrospective, observational study based on the review of the medical records from February 2014 to July 2017. Epidural analgesia was initiated with a 10 mL epidural bolus of 1% lidocaine and was maintained with a 0.1% mixture of ropivacaine with fentanyl. Non-epidural analgesia was initiated with pethidine 12.5 mg bolus, followed by additional boluses as needed. The primary outcome was the duration of the labor. 149 healthy nulliparous women at term pregnancies with no evidence of fetal distress were enrolled in this study. 92 women received non-epidural analgesia (Group NE) and 57 women received epidural analgesia (Group E). There were no significant differences between the two groups in maternal demographic characteristics. Using a Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, there was no significant difference in the overall duration of the labor(P=0.233). The duration of the first stage of labor was $187.6{\pm}167.3min$ in Group NE, $248.6{\pm}168.7min$ in Group E (Mean${\pm}$SD, P=0.032). The duration of the second stage of labor was $67.1{\pm}57.8min$ in Group NE, $64.1{\pm}47.5min$ in Group E (Mean${\pm}$SD, P=0.693). Epidural analgesia delayed the first stage of labor in this study. But there were no significant differences between the two groups in the duration of the second stage and the total duration of labor.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) facilities envision future Intelligent Transporting Systems (ITSs) by providing inter-vehicle communication for metrics such as road surveillance, traffic information, and road condition. In recent years, vehicle manufacturers, researchers and academicians have devoted significant attention to vehicular communication technology because of its highly dynamic connectivity and self-organized, decentralized networking characteristics. However, due to VANET's high mobility, dynamic network topology and low communication coverage, dissemination of large data packets (e.g. multimedia content) is challenging. Clustering enhances network performance by maintaining communication link stability, sharing network resources and efficiently using bandwidth among nodes. This paper proposes a mobility-based, multi-hop clustering algorithm, (MBCA) for multimedia content broadcasting over an IEEE 802.11p-LTE-enabled hybrid VANET architecture. The OMNeT++ network simulator and a SUMO traffic generator are used to simulate a network scenario. The simulation results indicate that the proposed clustering algorithm over a hybrid VANET architecture improves the overall network stability and performance, resulting in an overall 20% increased cluster head duration, 20% increased cluster member duration, lower cluster overhead, 15% improved data packet delivery ratio and lower network delay from the referenced schemes [46], [47] and [50] during multimedia content dissemination over VANET.
In Wireless Sensor Network, various routing protocols were employed by our Research and Development community to improve the energy efficiency of a network as well as to control the traffic by considering the terms, i.e. Packet delivery rate, the average end-to-end delay, network routing load, average throughput, and total energy consumption. While maintaining network connectivity for a long-term duration, it's necessary that routing protocol must perform in an efficient way. As we discussed Optimized Link State Routing protocol between all of them, we find out that this protocol performs well in the large and dense networks, but with the decrease in network size then scalability of the network decreases. Whenever a link breakage is encountered, OLSR is not able to periodically update its routing table which may create a redundancy problem. To resolve this issue in the OLSR problem of redundancy and predict link breakage, an enhanced protocol, i.e. S-OLSR (More Scalable OLSR) protocol has been proposed. At the end, a comparison among different existing protocols, i.e. DSR, AODV, OLSR with the proposed protocol, i.e. S-OLSR is drawn by using the NS-2 simulator.
Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) consist of mobile nodes which are usually powered by battery Approaches for minimizing power consumption have been proposed for all network layers and devices. IEEE 802.11 DCF (Distributed Coordination Function), a well-known medium access control protocol for MANETS, also defines a power save mode operation. The nodes in power save mode periodically repeat the awake state and the doze state in synchronized fashion. When all nodes are in the awake state, the exchange the announcements for the subsequent message transmission with neighbors. The nodes that send or receive the announcements stay awake for data transmission, and others go into the dole state. The previous works for enhancing the power save mode operation have focused on shortening the duration of the awake state. We observed that the longer sleeping period results in seriously long delivery latency and the consequent unnecessary power consumption as well, because the packets can move forward only one hop for a fixed interval. In this paper, we propose an improved protocol for the power save mode of IEEE 802.11 DCF, which allows the flooding packets to be forwarded several hops in a transmission period. Our approach does not reduce the duration of compulsory awake period, but maximizes its utilization. Each node propagates the announcements for next flooding to nodes of several hops away, thus the packets can travel multiple hops during one interval. Simulation results of comparison between our scheme and the standard show a reduction in flooding delay maximum 80%, and the unicasting latency with accompanying flooding flows near 50%, with slight increase of energy consumption.
The purpose of this study were to analyze work function and labor productivity in school foodservice systems through work sampling methodology. Conventional foodservice were classified into 5 group depending on the number of meals served. Commissary school foodservices were also classified into 5 group by cluster analysis using the number of meals served, the number of satellite schools, and the duration of time for delivery of food. Work measurement through work sampling methodology was conducted in at 5 conventional and 21 commissary food -services during 3 consecutive days from September to October in 1995. Results from work measurement through work sampling methodology were as followed : The most prevalent work functions was cleaning (26.5%) and then processing (25.1%) in conventional while it was processing (30.9%) and then cleaning(25.2%) in commissary school foodservice. Delay was 22.9% and 19.7% respectively. Mean labor minutes per meal of conventional and commissary foodservics were 4.57 and 4.09 minutes, respectively : no significant difference in labor minutes per meal existed between the two systems. but mean labor minutes per meal of commissary foodsevices(1.79min) was significantly lower than that of conventional foodservice(2.33min) during work time before service (p<0.05). Productivity was significantly lower in foodservices which served less than 400 servings ; n significant differences existed among 401-70, 701-1,100 and 1,101-1,500 meals. The highest productivity was in conventional school foodservices which served 1,501-1,900meals. Labor minutes per meal of commissary school foodservice which served less than 400meals per day was significantly lower than those of foodservice which served 401-1,900meals (p<0.05). Labor minutes per meal, preparation and cleaning were positively correlation in two school foodservice systems.

The learners using learning content through the smart devices can access to the Internet from anytime and anywhere. However, with the rapid increase of learning content on the Web, it will be time-consuming for learners to find contents they really want to and need to study. Therefore, e-learning systems should not only provide flexible content delivery, but support adaptive harmonizing fusion content. The harmonizing fusion content it is a very important in fusion e-learning service. The representative method to provide synchronization between fusion content is a provide absolute time value between of the contents. However, this method is occurs a problem transferring time delay. Also, to enter an absolute time value for the duration of the each content is several problems arise. In this paper introduces a new smart e-smart service support the harmonizing media based technology to create synchronized learning presentation.
