포화 구동기를 갖는 시간 시연 선형 시스템의 H 제어 (H Control of Time-Delayed Linear Systems with Saturating Actuators)

  • In this paper, we consider the $H_{\infty}$ control of time-delayed linear systems with saturating actuators. The considered time-delay is a time-varying one having bounds on magnitude and time-derivative, and the control permits the predetermined degree of saturation. Based on two modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii(L-K) functionals, we derive a $H_{\infty}$ control in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMI) having three non-convex design parameters. The result is dependent on the characteristics of time-delay, predetermined degree of saturation level, and bound of disturbance. Finally, we give a comparative example to show the effectiveness and usefulness of our result.

Topology-Aware Fanout Set Division Scheme for QoS-Guaranteed Multicast Transmission

  • The proliferation of real-time multimedia services requires huge amounts of data transactions demanding strict quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees. Multicast transmission is a promising technique because of its efficient network resource utilization. However, high head-of-line (HOL) blocking probability and lack of service-specific QoS control should be addressed for practical implementations of multicast networks. In this paper, a topology aware fanout set division (TAFD) scheme is proposed to resolve these problems. The proposed scheme is composed of two techniques that reduce HOL blocking probability and expedite packet delivery for large-delay branches regarding multicast tree topology. Since management of global topology information is not necessary, scalability of the proposed scheme is guaranteed. Mathematical analysis investigates effects of the proposed scheme and derives optimal operational parameters. The evaluation results show that the TAFD scheme achieves significant delay reduction and satisfies required delay bounds on various multicast networks.

The Improved Success Rate of Integer Ambiguity Resolution by Using Many Visible GPS/GNSS Satellites

  • This study investigates the improvement in the theoretical success rate of the integer ambiguity resolution in GPS/GNSS carrier-phase positioning by using many visible satellites. It estimates the dependence of the rate on the baseline length in relative positioning under the condition of the use of double/triple-frequency navigation signals. The calculation results show that the use of 14 navigation satellites (i.e., seven GPS and seven Galileo ones) remarkably improves the success rate under the condition of very short baseline length, compared with the use of seven GPS ones. The numerical reliability of the calculated success rates is strictly tested by examining the tightness of the union and minimum-distance bounds to the rate. These bounds are also shown to be effective to investigate the realization of the high success rates.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 상호작용이 요구되는 커뮤니티 TV 서비스를 위한 P2P 스트리밍 서비스를 설계하고 구현하였다. 대화 기반의 커뮤니티 TV 서비스는 짧은 지연시간의 스트리밍 서비스를 요구하기 때문에 지연시간이 짧은 트리 방식의 P2P 네트워크를 구축하고 종단간 지연 시간 한계 내에 사용자들이 원활한 커뮤니티 서비스를 받을 수 있게 구현하였다. 본 연구에서 P2P 네트워크는 지역성과 종단간 지연시간을 이용한 알고리즘을 사용하여 구성된다. 본 논문의 P2P 스트리밍 시스템은 웹서버와 애플리케이션으로 구성되며 각각 ASP.Net, C#.Net으로 구현되었다.

Relaying Protocols and Delay Analysis for Buffer-aided Wireless Powered Cooperative Communication Networks

  • In this paper, we investigate a buffer-aided wireless powered cooperative communication network (WPCCN), in which the source and relay harvest the energy from a dedicated power beacon via wireless energy transfer, then the source transmits the data to the destination through the relay. Both the source and relay are equipped with an energy buffer to store the harvested energy in the energy transfer stage. In addition, the relay is equipped with a data buffer and can temporarily store the received information. Considering the buffer-aided WPCCN, we propose two buffer-aided relaying protocols, which named as the buffer-aided harvest-then-transmit (HtT) protocol and the buffer-aided joint mode selection and power allocation (JMSPA) protocol, respectively. For the buffer-aided HtT protocol, the time-averaged achievable rate is obtained in closed form. For the buffer-aided JMSPA protocol, the optimal adaptive mode selection scheme and power allocation scheme, which jointly maximize the time-averaged throughput of system, are obtained by employing the Lyapunov optimization theory. Furthermore, we drive the theoretical bounds on the time-averaged achievable rate and time-averaged delay, then present the throughput-delay tradeoff achieved by the joint JMSPA protocol. Simulation results validate the throughput performance gain of the proposed buffer-aided relaying protocols and verify the theoretical analysis.

  • This paper presents the state of the art of control strategies for bilateral teleoperation systems under time delays. In the bilateral teleoperation that has force feedback, the time delay in the communication channel is the main source of instability. To cope with this problem. a number of control methods have been proposed. Among many control strategies. key aspects of the recent passivity-based methods are mainly summarized for approaches with wave variables. PO/PC (passivity observer/passivity controller), simple PD, and energy bounds.

실시간 인터넷 서비스를 위한 오브레이 말티케스트 트리의 패스 신뢰성 최대화 (Maximization of Path Reliabilities in Overlay Multicast Trees for Realtime Internet Service)

  • Overlay Multicast is a promising approach to overcome the implementation problem of IP multicast. Real time services like Internet broadcasting are provided by the overlay multicast technology due to the complex nature and high cost of IP multicast. To reduce frequent updates of multicast members and to support real time service without delay, we suggest a reliable overlay multicast tree based on members' sojourn probabilities. Path reliabilities from a source to member nodes are considered to maximize the reliability of an overlay multicast tree. The problem is formulated as a binary integer programming with degree and delay bounds. A tabu search heuristic is developed to solve the NP-complete problem. Outstanding results are obtained which is comparable to the optimal solution and applicable in real time.

  • Product shortage which causes backordering and/or lost sales cost is very popular in chemical industries, especially in commodity polymer business. This study deals with backordering cost in the supply chain optimization model under the framework of process-inventory network. Classical economic order quantity model with backordering cost suggested optimal time delay and lot size of the final product delivery. Backordering can be compensated by advancing production/transportation of it or purchasing substitute product from third party as well as product delivery delay in supply chain network. Optimal solutions considering all means to recover shortage are more complicated than the classical one. We found three different solutions depending on parametric range and variable bounds. Optimal capacity of production/transportation processes associated with the product in backordering can be different from that when the product is not in backordering. The product shipping cycle time computed in this study was smaller than that optimized by the classical EOQ model.

  • In this paper, we considered the $H_{\infty}$ tracking control for time-delayed linear systems with saturating actuators. The considered time delay is a time varying one having bounded magnitude and rate, and the considered tracking reference is a general one only known its bounds of magnitude and rate. First, we have converted the $H_{\infty}$ tracking control problem into an equivalent $H_{\infty}$ disturbance attenuation problem using two steps of transformations. Next, based on a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, we have derived the result in the form of LMI with two non-convex parameters. Finally, by numerical examples, we have shown the usefulness and effectiveness of our result.

종단간 지연 큐 서비스 방식을 이용한 실시간 트래픽 QoS 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Real-Time Traffic QoS using the Delay Guarantee Queue Service Discipline of End-to-End)

  • ATM망에서 큐 서비스 방식에서는 상위 프레임과 하위 프레임을 따로 정의하여 대역폭 할당과 전송 지연 보장을 분리할 수 있기 때문에 종단간 전송한계에서 QoS를 보장 할 수 있는 단순화한 큐 서비스 구현을 제안하였다. 제안한 큐 서비스 방식은 실시간 트래픽과 비실시간 트래픽을 나누어 저장하기 때문 에 연결별 트래픽 조절기 없이도 지연 지터 특성이 개선되었다. 제안된 큐 서비스 방식을 이용하여 연결 수락 제어는 트래픽 왜곡의 영향을 계산할 수 없는 트래픽 왜곡의 영향이 실재로 존재한다는 가정 하에 트래픽 왜곡에 대한 영향에 종단간 지연을 보장함으로 서 연결 수락 가능 범위를 다양한 프레임의 길이에 대해 나타내었으며, 프레임의 길이가 클수록 제안된 큐 서비스 방식의 연결 수 락 범위가 지연 EDD방식과 비교해서 많은 차이를 보이지만 프레임의 길이를 점차 줄여갈수록 연결 수락 가능 범위가 지연 EDD 방식에 근접함을 나타내었다.
