  • A new security management model based on Rough set and Bayesian learner is proposed in the paper. The model focuses on finding out malicious nodes and getting them under control. The degree of dissatisfaction (DoD) is defined as the probability that a node belongs to the malicious node set. Based on transaction history records local DoD (LDoD) is calculated. And recommended DoD (RDoD) is calculated based on feedbacks on recommendations (FBRs). According to the DoD, nodes are classified and controlled. In order to improve computation accuracy and efficiency of the probability, we employ Rough set combined with Bayesian learner. For the reason that in some cases, the corresponding probability result can be determined according to only one or two attribute values, the Rough set module is used; And in other cases, the probability is computed by Bayesian learner. Compared with the existing trust model, the simulation results demonstrate that the model can obtain higher examination rate of malicious nodes and achieve the higher transaction success rate.

  • Purpose: Peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) has a dismal prognosis and is occasionally encountered during initial exploration in patients with gastric cancer. The clinicopathological characteristics and survival were analyzed in patients with gastric cancer and PC. Materials and Methods: Among 2,083 gastric cancer patients who received surgery at the department of surgery, Hanyang University Hospital from 1992 to 2009, 130 patients revealed PC. Ten patients who were lost during follow-up were excluded. The remaining 120 patients were divided into three groups according to the type of surgery. The degree of PC was classified into P1(to the adjacent peritoneum) and P2 (to the distant peritoneum). Various other clinicopathological factors were analyzed using univariate and multivariatec survival analyses. Results: Systemic chemotherapy (SC), type of surgery, lymph node dissection, degree of PC, and presence of ascites were significant prognostic factors. However, age, gender, resection of PC, and Borrmann type were not significant prognostic factors. In a multivariate analysis, SC and the degree of PC were independent prognostic factors. The survival benefit of SC was significant without reference to the type of surgery or degree of PC. Conclusions: A gastrectomy should be considered feasible in patients with gastric cancer and PC. The independent favorable prognostic factors were SC and a low degree of PC. SC improved the prognosis regardless of operation type and degree of PC.

  • Bubblesort graph is mathematically modeled with bubbling methods, which can arrange data. Bubblesort graph Bn's degree is n, it's routing path length ${\frac{n(n-1)}{2}}$, and its network cost is $O(n^3)$. In this paper we suggest the number of Bubblesort graph's degree reduced to half as a solution to improve the network cost of Bubblesort graph. The Bubblesort graph which has the following restriction is a connected graph randomly from node U to node V for routing.

  • In this paper, an improved community detection algorithm based on the modularity is proposed. The existing algorithm does not consider the information that the nodes have in checking the possible modularity increase, hence the computation may be inefficient. The proposed algorithm computes the node degree (weight) and sorts them in non-increasing order. By checking the possible modularity value increase for the nodes in the nonincreasing order of node weights, the algorithm finds the final solution more quickly than the existing algorithm does. Through the computational experiments, it is shown that the proposed algorithm finds a modularity as good as the existing algorithm obtains.

  • The paper examined the character structure as a basic study for the recognition of Korean characters. In view of concave structure, line structure and node relationship of character graph, the algebraic structure of the basic Korean characters is are analized. Also, the degree of complexities in their character structure is discussed and classififed. Futhermore, by describing the fact that some equivalence relations are existed between the 10 vowels of rotational transformation group by Affine transformation of one element into another, it could be pointed out that the geometrical properting in addition to the topological properties are very important for the recognition of Korean characters.

  • Purpose: Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is widely accepted as a useful tumor marker for diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinomas. On rare occasions, however, an abnormal elevation of serum AFP also has been reported in an adenocarcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract. We evaluated the influence of preoperative abnormal elevation of serum AFP (AFP positivity) on the prognosis of resectable gastric cancers. Materials and Methods: 812 gastric cancer patients, who were investigated for serum AFP before their operations and who underwent gastric resections with D2 or more extended lymph node dissection, were enrolled in the study. The survival rates were calculated by using the Kaplan-Meier method and were compared by using the log-rank test. A multivariate analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazards model. Results: Fifty patients ($6.2\%$) were AFP positive (10.1. 4322.6 ng/ml). The survival rate of the AFP positive group was significantly lower than that of the AFP negative group ( $46.6\%\;vs.\;67.0\%$; P=0.0002). The depth of tumor invasion, the degree of regional lymph node metastasis, distant metastases, the TNM stage, the gross type, differentiation, the extent of gastric resection, and the curability of the surgery also significantly influenced survival. Multivariate analysis revealed that the depth of tumor invasion, the degree of regional lymph node metastasis, the curability of the surgery, and AFP positivity were independent prognostic indicators. Conclusion: Preoperative serum AFP can be used as an independent prognostic factor of resectable gastric cancer.

  • The SPICE circuit analysis program has a limited math capability and, in general, cannot be used for RF and microwave simulation because a complex arithmetic is required to compute S-parameters from node voltages. This paper presents two test bench models that can be used to obtain node voltages proportional to incident, reflected, and transmitted signals. From SPICE computed node voltages, S-parameters are computed using the math capability of the PSPICE post processor, PROBE, as an example for a low-pass filter consisting of transmission line sections. The results of this example are compared with another high frequency circuit analysis program, TOUCHSTONE. The difference between the results of these two programs in magnitude was less than 0.003 and in phase was a few tenths of a degree. By using these test benchs to simulate a filter, RF and microwave analysis can be made with the SPICE, which can be a cost-effective and readily available computational tool for educators and practicing engineers.

  • To investigate effects of deep tillage before planting on physicochemical properties of soil, growth and fruit characteristics in cultivation of watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris L. cv. 'Uriggul') under plastic film house, this study was conducted in cultivating field of Gochang Junbuk. pH in soil after harvest compared with soil before planting of watermelon had almost no change, but EC lowed greatly in the two treatments. Available phosphate concentration in the soil with the deep tillage treatment was lower, K concentration of exchangeable cation decreased greatly than these with conventional tillage treatment. In the growth at 27th day after planting plant, stem length to 10th node from the first node, leaf width with deep tillage treatment were longer, bearing node of the first and second flower and wilting degree were lower than these with conventional tillage treatment. In the growth of harvesting time, the stem length to 30th node from the first node with the deep tillage treatment were longer, leaf discoloration degree was lower than these with conventional tillage treatment. Also, the harvested fruits length, diameter, peel hardness, and weight were significantly better than these with conventional tillage treatment.

  • The authors present 15 cases in which the diagnosis of thyroid cancer was established pathologically among 300 cases of Graves' disease diagnosed clinically at Chosun University Hospital, from January 1982 to December 1994. These cases were analyzed in order to establish guidelines for prophylactic node dissection as part of the initial management of thyroid cancer in patients with Graves' disease. The analysis revealed the following: 1) The average age of the 15 patients was 34.5 years and the male: female ratio was 1 : 4.0. 2) In 8 of the 15 cases(53.5 %) the occult thyroid carcinoma measured less than 1.5cm. 3) The degree of invasivensess manifested in these fifteen cases may be summarized as follows: In Group 1(6 cases) there was absence of microscopic capsular invasion and of lymphnode metastasis. In Group 11(4 cases) threre was microscopic capsular invasion but absence of lymphnode metastasis: In Group III(4 cases) there was either extrathyrodal soft tissue invasion or regional lymph node metastasis: and in Group IV(1 case) there was lymphnode invasion and distant metastasis. 4) Thirteen patients underwent either subtotal or near total thyroidectomy, and 2 patients underwent total thyroidectomy. Seven patients underwent some type of neck dissection, as follows: anterior compartment dissection in one of the cases in Group I; functional neck dissection in two cases and jugular node dissection in one case in Group II; and anterior compartment dissection in one case and modified radical neck dissection in two cases in Group III. 5) The author propose the following guidelines for prophylactic initial node dissection when a unexpected coexisting thyroid carcinoma in encountered on the frozen section during the surgical management of Graves' disease; Group I cases do not require initial neck dissection in group II, anterior compartment dissection in sufficient. In Group III, either jugular node dissection or functional neck dissection should be performed, and followed by postoperative Ra$^{131}$I therapy, Group IV requires Ra$^{131}$I therapy with or without modified radical neck dissection depending in the patient's condition.

  • In order to investigate the occurrence status of tiller at the upper node of rice, this trial was conducted with different eco-typed and 23 cultivars in 1983 and testified the effect of fertilizer levels with Indica x Japonica cultivars in 1984. In occurring of tiller at the upper nodes, upper 2nd, 3rd node and lower 2nd, 3rd node rose simultaneously. The tillering rates of the upper nodes of Japonica x Indica cultivars were more than Japonica cultivars and early maturing cultivars were more than medium or late maturing cultivars, respectively. Highly negative correlations were found between the tillering rate of upper nodes and days from transplant-ing to heading and bending angle degree of 2nd node. The tilleriiig rate of the upper nodes treated with different levels of fertilizer increased with non-fertilizer than those of standard (N-P-K =15-11-13kg/10a) or heavy (N-P-K =25-15-18kg/10a) levels.
