  • Lining이 타설되기 이전의 unlink 안정 문제를 야기시킬 수 있으며 이 구조물의 역학적 상호작용에 관한 unlined 터널의 3차원적 거동에 관한 원 탄소성 유한요소해석 프로그램을 기초의 극한 지지력, 지반과 터널주컴퓨터 해석 결과를 고찰하여 정방형 unlined 터널은 기초의 극한 지지력을 기초의 형상이나 근입깊이 등에 의해 치하는 터널은 터널의 축방향으로 발생하는 응력의 크기는 정방형 기초 위치와 음력의 종류에 따라 다른 것으로 상호작용의 정도에 따라 다름을 볼 수 있었다.

Experimental behavior of eccentrically loaded R.C. short columns strengthened using GFRP wrapping

  • This paper aims to study the behavior of short reinforced concrete columns confined with external glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRP) sheets under eccentric loads. The experimental part of the study was achieved by testing 9 specimens under eccentric compression. Three eccentricity ratios corresponding to e/t = 0, 0.10, 0.50 in one direction of the column were used. Specimens were divided into three groups. The first group was the control one without confinement. The second group was fully wrapped with GFRP laminates before loading. The third group was wrapped under loading after reaching 75% of failure loads of the control specimens. The third group was investigated in order to represent the practical case of strengthening a loaded column with FRP laminates. All specimens were loaded until failure. The results show that GFRP laminates enhances both failure load and ductility response of eccentrically loaded column. Moreover, the study also illustrates the effect of confinement on the first crack load, lateral deformation, strain in reinforcement and failure pattern. Based on the analysis of the experimental results, a simple model has been proposed to predict the improvement of load carrying capacity under different eccentricity ratios. The predicted equation takes into consideration the eccentricity to cross section depth ratio, the ultimate strength of GFRP, the thickness of wrapping laminate, and the time of wrapping (before loading and under loading). A good correlation was obtained between experimental and analytical results.

  • 수직 발사대는 발사체에서 나오는 화염에 의하여 구조체의 손상이 일어날 수 있고 특히 후방덮개는 화염에 의하여 직접적으로 변형이 일어나므로 이를 해석하기 위해서는 유체-고체 연성해석 기법을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서 발사체의 화염은 Eulerian 기법을 이용하여 해석하였고, 발사대의 후방 덮개는 Lagrangian 기법을 사용하여 해석하였다. 서로 다른 두 물질간의 경계면은 레벨을 통하여 추적을 하였고 경계면에서의 경계값은 가상유체 기법을 활용하여 결정하였다. 본 논문에서는 후방 덮개의 변형 형상에 따라 달라지는 유동의 변화를 확인하였다.

압축성이 슬로싱 현상에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Compressibility Effect in Sloshing Phenomenon)

  • The present study focused on the compressibility of partially filled fluids in a sloshing tank. Filling ratios ranging from 18% to 26% were used to find compressible impact on a vertical wall. The model test was for 1/25 scale of a 138 K LNGC cargo tank. To investigate the two dimensional phenomenon of sloshing, a longitudinal slice model was tested. A high speed camera was used to capture the flow field, as well as the air pocket deformation. The pressure time history synchronized with the video images revealed the entire compressible process. Three typical impact phenomena were observed: hydraulic jump, flip through, and plunging breaker. In particular, the pressure time history and flow pattern details for flip through and plunging breaker are presented.

슬릿 패턴 형상에 따른 Carbon/Epoxy 프리프레그 성형물의 굽힘 강도 특성 및 슬릿 변형량 분석 (A study on slit opening and flexural strength of carbon/epoxy prepregs with slit patterns)

  • Designed patterns of slit are introduced to the uni-directional (UD) prepreg in order to enhance the formability of the carbon/epoxy composites without wrinkling and laddering. Three different types of the slit alignment along the thickness direction are applied to analyse the deformation behavior during the compression moulding process of laminates. Degrees of the slit open and the mechanical strength are evaluated based on the level of the compaction pressure in the course of forming process. Results have shown that the mechanical strength of laminates having slits could attain at least 80% of the conventional ones without slits. However, further studies are required to identify the direct relevance of the slit alignment in laminate to the mechanical properties.

  • This paper presents the experimental result of Reinforced Concrete column-steel beam joint connected by Band Plates(BP). Main parameters in the test are the shape of BP and thickness of plate. Ten interior and exterior RC column-steel beam joint specimens are designed. Cyclic loads are applied to the beam end of eight specimens (four interior specimens and four exterior specimens). To evaluate the cyclic effect, monotonic loads are acted for two specimens. All specimen showed similar failure pattern such as the plate of BP get torn after the large deformation. Even though the specimen with double cross type BP has lower strength than the specimen with single cross type BP, the energy dissipation capacity of the specimen turned out high. Thus, provided the strength of joint with double cross type to be designed to have suitable strength by increasing the thickness of plate, the joint system may show higher seismic capacity.

  • The deformation behavior of a bulk amorphous and crystallized amorphous $Zr_{22.5}Ti_{14}Cu_{12.5}Ni_{10}Be_{22.5}$ alloy extracted from a commercial golf club head was characterized at room temperature ana $300^{\circ}C$. At room temperature, amorphous specimens revealed higher yield stress and ductility than partially crystallized alloy specimens. Amorphous alloy displayed some plasticity before fracture, which resulted from strain hardening and repeated crack initiation and propagation. The fracture is mainly localized on one major shear band, and the compressive fracture angle of the amorphous specimen between the stress axis and the fracture plane was about $40^{\circ}$ Scanning electron microscope observations revealed mainly a vein-like structure in the amorphous alloy But the fracture surface of partially crystallized amorphous alloy consisted of vein-like and featureless fracture structure. The partially crystallized alloy extracted from the thick part of the club fractured in the elastic region, at a much lower stress level than the amorphous, suggesting that relatively coarse crystal particles formed during cooling cause the brittle fracture.

  • Enhancement methods of sensitivity to in-plane strain measurement by micro-ESPI(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) technique were proposed using TiN and Au thin films. Micro-tensile strain over the micro-tensile specimens, prepared in micro-scale by those films, was measured by micro-tensile loading system and micro-ESPI system developed in this study. The subsequent measurement of in-plane tensile strain in the micro-sized specimens was introduced using the micro-ESPI technique, and the micro-tensile stress-strain curves for these films were determined. To enhance the sensitivity to measurement of in-plane tensile strain, algorithms of the phase estimation by using curve fitting of inter-fringe and the discrete Fourier Transform with object-induced dynamic phase shifting were developed. Using these two algorithms, the micro-tensile strain-stress curves were generated. It is shown that the algorithms for enhancement of the sensitivity suggested in this study make the sensitivity to measurement of the in-plane tensile strain increase.

  • A new forming technology has been developed to fabricate near-net shape components by using aluminum alloys with globular microstructure. The estimations of filling characteristic in the forging simulation with arbitrarily shaped dies of SSM are calculated by finite element method with proposed algorithm. The proposed model and various boundary conditions for arbitrarily shaped die are investigated with the coupling calculation between the liquid phase flow and the solid phase deformation. The simulation processes with arbitrarily shaped dies are performed on the isothermal conditions and axisymmetric problems. To analyze the forging process simulation with SSM, new stress-strain relationship for semi-solid behaviour is described, and forging the liquid flow. Furthermore, For the purpose of getting net shape of SSM, it is important to be obtain a solid fraction in forging process with arbitrarily shaped dies. To produce a automotive part which have good mechanical properties, the filling pattern in accordance with die velocity and solid fraction distribution has to be estimated for arbitrarily shaped die.
