국내 외국인직접투자기업의 입지결정요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Location Factors of Foreign Direct Investment Firms in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내 외국인직접투자기업의 제조업에 적합한 입지결정요인을 추출하여 AHP 분석기법(Analytic Hierarchy Process)을 통해 집단별, 업종별, 기업규모별, 입지유형별로 입지요인의 중요도와 우선순위를 분석하고 시사점을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째로, 전문가집단이 외국인직접투자기업을 바라보는 관점과 외국인직접투자기업에서 실제로 고려하고 있는 각 입지요인의 중요도와 우선순위에는 상당한 괴리가 있는 것으로 확인되어 전문가집단의 정보 비대칭 문제가 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째로, 외국인직접투자기업에서는 투자동기와 연관되어 있는 경쟁우위요인과 경영전략요인의 중요도를 높게 평가하고 있다. 또한 기업규모별, 업종별, 입지유형별로 입지요인의 중요도와 우선순위에도 많은 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째로, 투자만족도와 입지요인간에는 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 입지요인들이 긍정적인 영향력을 많이 받을수록 투자의 만족도가 높아진다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 또한 투자기업에서는 노동의 유연성 부족과 우수인력의 확보문제를 가장 큰 경영상의 애로사항으로 인식하고 있었다. 넷째로, 입지의사결정에 필요한 정보의 원천에 관한 조사에서 행정당국보다는 이미 국내에 진출하여 사업을 영위하고 있거나 철수한 경험이 있는 선행의 투자기엽으로부터 입지정보를 수집하는 사례가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 가장 영향력이 높은 의사결정계층으로는 최고경영자로 확인되어 입지결정과 같은 전략적 정책결정들은 실무책임자보다는 최고경영층과의 관계 마케팅이 더욱 더 중요하다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The facility location in designing a supply chain network is an important decision problem that gives form, structure, and shape to the entire supply chain system. Location problems involve determining the location, number, and size of the facilities to be used. The optimization of these location decisions requires careful attention to the inherent trade-offs among service time, inventory costs, facility cost, transportation costs. This paper presents a strategy that provides the best locations of distribution centers using GIS(Geographical Information System) assuming the limitation of delivery time. To get the best strategy of the location of distribution centers, we use the new loss functions as a penalty when the delivery time is violated

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the criteria for decision-making of industrial location in view of substituting production factors through maximizing profit instead of minimizing transportation cost. This paper makes use of mutual relationship between spatial economy in Euclidean distance and substituting production factors in production theory. Therefore, this paper will develop weak points in classical theory of industrial location by introducing production theory which has conception of substituting production factors.

  • The objective of this study is to suggest DARE (Decision Alternative Ratio Evaluation) Method, which is usually using in VE(Value Engineering), as one of the evaluating alternatives techniques, especially deciding location. The process of solving location problem consists of 4 stages which are Data gathering and Confirming check list, Design of evaluating methodology, Evaluating, and Conclusion. In second stage which is the most important one among those, DARE method is adopted to solve location problem as a objective and scientific technique. The members who are participated workshop extremely agree to whole procedure of methodology and also their own conclusion through Workshop. This case study shows DARE method fits with select optimal location.

환경지리정보시스템을 이용한 환경기초시설의 입지 결정요인 평가 (The Evaluation of Location Decision Factors of Environmental Foundation Facilities using Environmental Geographic Information System)

  • 본 연구는 환경지리정보시스템을 활용한 활용하여 수질오염방지시설의 입지 결정요인을 분석하여 적정입지를 선정하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 수질오염총량제가 가장 먼저 실시된 낙동강 권역을 대상으로 환경지리정보시스템을 구축한 후 1) 수질오염방지시설의 처리용량에 영향을 미치는 오염원, 2) 수질오염방지시설의 입지와 오염원 배출량간의 관계를 분석하여 향후 어떤 오염방지시설을 어디에 입지시킬 것인가에 대한 정책대안을 제시하였다. 분석결과, 1) 수질오염방지시설의 처리용량 결정에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 오염원은 산업폐수발생량으로 판명되었으며, 2) 수질오염방지시설의 입지에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 오염원은 산업체의 수로 나타났다. 이에 반해 인구수는 환경시설입지를 제한하는 효과가 있는 것으로 판명되었다. 또한, 경상북도 낙동강 중 상류 유역의 경우 주 오염원인 축산오염원에 대한 대처가 가장 미흡한 것으로 나타나 앞으로 축산오염원의 처리가 가장 시급한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 장차 수질오염방지시설의 입지를 선정하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이며, 각 지역의 오염 특성에 따라 수질오염방지시설을 입지를 결정하는데 크게 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

산업용지 수요예측 및 산업단지 입지선정에 관한 연구 - 안성시를 사례로 - (A Study on the Forecast of Industrial Land Demand and the Location Decision of Industrial Complexes - In Case of Anseong City)

  • This study aims to build a model dealing with the location decision of new manufacturing firms and their land demand. The model is composed with 1) the binary logit model structure identifying a future probability of manufacturing firms to locate in a city and their land demand; and 2) the land use suitability of the land demand. The model was empirically tested in the case of Anseong City. We used establishment-level data for the manufacturing industry from the Report on Mining and Manufacturing Survey. 48 industry groups were scrutinized to find the location probability in the city and their land demand via logit model with the dependent variables: number of employment, land capital, building capital, total products, and value-added for a new industry since 2001. It is forecasted that the future land areas (to 2025) for the manufacturing industries in the city are $5.94km^2$ and additional land demand for clustering the existing industries scattered over the city is $2.lkm^2$. Five industrial complex locations were identified through the land use suitability analysis.

노선 선정에서 계층분석과정을 이용한 GIS의 적용 (Application of GIS Based AHP for Route Location)

  • 본 연구에서는 계층분석과정에 대한 노선 선정에 요구되는 자료들을 추출 및 이용하여 합리적인 노선 선정의 방법을 제시하였다. 선정된 노선의 결과를 GIS를 이용하여 시각화 및 분석하였으며, 종단선형을 고려한 선형 프로그램을 개발 및 구축하였다. 이러한 연구를 요약하면 GIS 기반의 계층분석과정을 응용하여 생성된 노선을 기준으로 기존 노선의 적정성에 대한 평가를 정량적으로 할 수 있었으며, 신설될 노선에 적용하면 도로 계획 및 기본 설계에 객관적이고 신뢰성 있는 노선의 평가를 할 수 있었다. 기존의 2차원적 정보에 의한 의사결정시스템에서 종단계획까지 고려한 3차원 정보에 의한 의사결정시스템을 적용함으로서 노선 선정기법을 향상시켰고 종단경사, 토공량, 구조물 규모와 위치, 공사비 등의 정보를 독립 변수로 할 수 있으므로 더욱 과학적이고 합리적으로 도로 설계를 할 수 있었다.

Hybrid Optimization for Distribution Channel Management: A Case of Retail Location Selection

  • Purpose: This study aims to introduce a hybrid MCDM model to support the selection of retail store location. Research design, data, and methodology: The hybrid approach of ANP and TOPSIS was used to address the location selection problem. The ANP technique was employed to compute the weights of the selection criteria, whilst the TOPSIS was used to rank alternatives. The proposed approach was then applied into a fashion company in Vietnam to select the best alternatives to be the retail store. Results: The results showed that Candidate 1 - Hai Ba Trung street is the most appropriate selection for locating retail stores. Conclusions: The proposed approach provides the decision makers with more useful methods than traditional ones. Therefore, the model can be applied to the location selection in all industries. In terms of academic contribution, the selection criteria proposed in the research can devote to the literature in the selection of location along with the concept of distribution channels. Additionally, the research also provides insight and guidelines for firms in making decision on retail store location based on limited resources to avoid the waste of funds. However, the results only answer to the context of Vietnam - a developing country. Thus, future research may be extended to developed countries where have better conditions.

단계적 최적립지 결정 방법에 관한 연구 (An Approach to Multi-Stage Decision Process for Optimum Location)

  • The problem of location for industries and residential quarters has undoubtedly been one of the most important factors to enhance human activities and standard of living. Nonetheless. there seem to be no such theories or approaches as to cope with this problem satisfactorily. As a matter of fact the evaluation of proposed locations so far has stuck to quantitative factors and thus the results are often rejected by the public or individuals. In deciding the location of industrial complex and/or residential quarters, the qualitative factors often play more important role than the quantitative factors. Moreover, it is quite possible for a proposed location to be disapproved for reasons other than quantifiable factors. This work presents an approach to multi-stage decision process of optimum location, particularly for residential quarters. The proposed approach consists of four stages. At the first stage, candidates for the location are searched and checked against musts. After this screening process, the candidates fulfilling the musts are evaluated both quantitatively and qualitatively at the second stage. The third stage is devoted to the integrated evaluation using diffrent weights for the two factors. At the final stage, a location is selected among the candidates evaluated at the earlier stages. This approach has been applied to and tested on a apartment-building project in Ulsan area. Difficulties arising from quantifying factors were encountered as expected. Sometimes decisions could be a matter of taste of the individuals concerned.

  • The uncertainty or imprecision associated with vague parameters and weighting sets, reduces the ability to decide what alternative is better for a particular location. To efficiently reduce the effect of imprecision frequently arising in available information, fuzzy theory has been used to improve consideration of imprecision in a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) problem. Fuzzy logic offers a way to represent and handle imprecision present in continuous real world applications. A GIS implementing fuzzy set theory, (referred to in this paper as the "Spatial Fuzzy Approach") enables decision makers to express imprecise concepts associated with geographic data and provides decision makers the ability to have even more definition and discrimination in terms of the best alternatives for a particular spatial location. This study is focused on addressing questions pertaining to the methodology of floodplain analysis using GIS and Spatial Fuzzy MCDA to evaluate flood damage reduction alternatives. The issues will be examined in a case study of the Suyoung River Basin in Pusan, Korea.
