The muscles of wild and cultured carp (Cyprinus carpio), and Israeli carp (Cyprinus carpio nudus) were analyzed for the amino acid profiles, in vitro digestibility, predicted digestibility, C-PER and DC-PER. The distribution patterns of the total amino acid profiles in wild and cultured carp were found to be very similar, although there were relatively large differences in lysine, aspartic acid and glutamic acid contents which were higher in the cultured carp. Israeli carp was 2 times as much as wild carp in lysine. The quality of muscle proteins in wild and cultured carp, and Israeli carp was predicted by the in vitro method. The protein quality of Israeli carp was higher than that of wild and cultured carp, whereas there showed a similar tend to protein quality between wild and cultured carp. The contents of hitidine, tyrosine, aspartic acid, alanine and glutamic acid in diet showed stronger positive corelation with the levels of protein deposition than those of protein intake, and those amino acids would greatly influence on amino acid composition of muscle protein in fishes.

Although sludge production has been increased due to the number of the wastewater treatment plants expanded, needs of the techniques for the sludge reduction and disposal has been issued importantly because the sludge dumping to ocean is prohibited from 2012 by the London Dumping Convention. Therefore, the sludge solubilization using electrolysis as an alternative techniques for the sludge disposal was carried out in this study. Iridium coated titanium based insoluble electrodes were used and 20 volt was applied to the electrolysis reactor using DC power supply. Supernatants of the treated sludge was monitored: The soluble COD, TN, TP of it was increased to 151%, 22% and 6% respectively. And the sludge floc size distribution was changed, that is, the flocs ranged from 0.1 to 1.0 ${\mu}m$ were increased. All of these results indicate that the cells were lysed and the internal matters bursted out of the cell after electrolysis. As well as the reduction of the sludge production, the soluble organic matters from the cells could be used as an external carbon sources in the advanced wastewater treatment plants.
Chalcopyrite based (CIGS) thin films have considered to be a promising candidates for industrial applications. The growth of quality CIGS thin films without secondary phases is very important for further efficiency improvements. But, the identification of complex secondary phases present in the entire film is crucial issue due to the lack of powerful characterization tools. Even though X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and normal Raman spectroscopy provide the information about the secondary phases, they provide insufficient information because of their resolution problem and complexity in analyzation. Among the above tools, a normal Raman spectroscopy is better for analysis of secondary phases. However, Raman signal provide the information in 300 nm depth of film even the thickness of film is > $1{\mu}m$. For this reason, the information from Raman spectroscopy can't represent the properties of whole film. In this regard, the authors introduce a new way for identification of secondary phases in CIGS film using depth Raman analysis. The CIGS thin films were prepared using DC-sputtering followed by selenization process in 10 min time under $1{\times}10^{-3}torr$ pressure. As-prepared films were polished using a dimple grinder which expanded the $2{\mu}m$ thick films into about 1mm that is more than enough to resolve the depth distribution. Raman analysis indicated that the CIGS film showed different secondary phases such as, $CuIn_3Se_5$, $CuInSe_2$, InSe and CuSe, presented in different depths of the film whereas XPS gave complex information about the phases. Therefore, the present work emphasized that the Raman depth profile tool is more efficient for identification of secondary phases in CIGS thin film.

The K gettering in $SiO_2/PSG/SiO_2/Al-1%Si$ multilevel thin films was investigated using SIMS(secondary ion mass spectrometry) and XPS(X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) analysis. DC magnetron sputter techniques and APCVD(atmosphere pressure chemical vapor deposition) were utilized for the deposition of Al-1%Si thin films and $SiO_2/PSG/SiO_2$ passivations, respectively. Heat treatment was carried out at $400^{\circ}C$ for 5 h in air. SIMS depth profiling was used to determine the distribution of K, Al, Si, P and other elements throughout the $SiO_2/PSG/SiO_2/Al-1%Si$ multilevel thin films. XPS was used to analyze binding energies of Si and P elements in PSG passivation layers. K peaks were observed throughout the $PSG/SiO_2$ passivation layers on the Al-1%Si thin films and especially at the $PSG/SiO_2$ interfaces. K gettering in $SiO_2/PSG/SiO_2/Al-1%Si$ multilevel thin films is considered to be caused by a segregation type of gettering. The chemical state of Si and P elements in PSG passivation appears to be $SiO_2$ and $P_2O_5$, respectively

Since DCT algorithm divides an image into blocks uniformly in both the spatial domain and the frequency domain, it has a weak point that it can not reflect HVS(Human Visual System) efficiently To avoid this problem, we propose a new algorithm, which combines only the merits of DCT and wavelet transform. The proposed algorithm uses the high compaction efficiency of DCT, and applies wavelet transform mode to DCT coefficients, so that the algorithm can utilize interband and intraband correlations of wavelet simultaneously After that, the proposed algorithm quantizes each coefficient based on the characteristic of each coefficient's band. In terms of coding method, the quantized coefficients of important DCT coefficients have symmetrical distribution, the bigger that value Is, the smaller occurrence probability is. Using the characteristic, we propose a new still image coding algorithm of symmetric and bidirectional tree structure with simple algorithm and fast decoding time. Comparing the proposed method with JPEG, the proposed method yields better image quality both objectively and subjectively at the same bit rate.

Three-way catalyst durability in the Korea requires 5 years/80,000km in 1988 but require 10 years/120,000km after 2002. Domestic three-way catalyst satisfies exhaust gas conversion efficiency or pressure drop etc. but don't satisfy thermal durability. Three-way catalyst maintains high temperature in interior domain but maintain low temperature on outside surface. This study evaluated thermal durability of three-way catalyst by thermal flow and structure analysis and the procedure is as followings. Thermal flow parameters ranges were determined by vehicle test and basic thermal flow analysis. Response surface for rear catalyst temperature was constructed using the design of experiment (DOE) for thermal flow parameters. Thermal flow parameters for rear catalyst temperature in vehicles examination were predicted by desirability function. Temperature distribution of three-way catalyst was estimated by thermal flow analysis for predicted thermal flow parameters.

In order to improve complicated construction and complex control which are didvantage of optimal PWM technique aimed at harmonic elimination method, this paper presented MRA(Mode1 Reference Adaptive) PWM technique that gating signal of inverter is generated by comparing the reference signal with the induced feedback signal at the reference model of load. Design of controller is composed of microprocessor and analog circuit. MRA PWM technique used in the paper is able to compensate the degradation of voltage efficiency to be generated by the ratio of the output voltage to the DC supply voltage being low for using conventional sinusoidal PWM technique. When the trapezoidal signal is employed as the reference signal. the low order harmonics of line current can be reduced and the switching pattern is made by on-line computation using comparatively simple numerical analysis.

A pivotal mechanical balance of plant for 75kW class molten carbonate fuel cells comprise of a catalytic burner and an ejector which has been designed and tested in KEPRI(Korea Electric Power Research Institute). The catalytic burner, which oxidizes residual fuel in the anode tail gas, was operated at several conditions. Some problems arose due to local overheating or auto-ignition, which could limit the catalyst life. The catalytic burner was designed by considering both gas mixing and gas velocity. Test results showed that the temperature distribution is very uniform. In addition, an ejector is a fluid machinery to be utilized for mixing fluids, maintaining vacuum, and transporting them. The ejector is placed at mixing point between the anode off gas and the cathode off gas or the fresh air Several ejectors were designed and tested to form a suction on the fuel tail gas and balance the differential pressures between anode and cathode over a range of operating conditions. The tests showed that the design of the nozzle and throat played an important role in balancing the anode tail and cathode inlet gas pressures. The 75kW MCFC system built in our ejector and catalytic burner was successfully operated from Novembe, 2008 to April, 2009. It recorded the voltage of 104V at the current of 754A and reached the maximum generating power of 78.5kW DC. The results for both stand-alone and integration into another balance of plant are discussed.
The porous alumina membrane was prepared from aluminum metal(99.8%) by anodic oxidation using DC power supply of constant current mode in aqueous solution of sulfuric, oxalic, phosphoric and chromic acid. Pore size and distribution, membrane thickness, morphology and crystal structure were examined with several anodizing conditions : reaction temperature, electrolyte concentration, current density and electrolyte type. It was found that ultrafiltration membrane was fabricated in electrolyte of sulfuric, and oxalic acid. On the other hand, microfiltration membrane was fabricated in electrolyte of phosphoric, and chromic acid. Also, it was shown that crystal structure of porous alumina membrane prepared in sulfuric, oxalic, and phosphoric acid was amorphous, whereas porous alumina membrane prepared in chromic acid had ${\gamma}$ type of crystal structure.
The role of the water structure present in hydrogels from nutlets of three species of salvias, S. miltiorrhiza (SM), S. sclarea (SS) and S. viridis (SV), was analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The sharp endothermic peaks that appeared at $5.9^{\circ}C$ (SM), $2.8^{\circ}C$ DC (SS) and $1.8^{\circ}C$ (SV) in each 1.0% hydrogel of 10.4-15.8% were not affected by addition of 0.1 M urea and alkali-metal salts. The order-disorder portions in the network were slightly affected by the distribution of freezable and non-freezable water in the hydrogel networks. The SV hydrogel was further used to investigate the effects of additives (0.1-8.0 M urea and 0.1-5.0 M NaCl) on its melting behavior. At 0.5-4.0 M urea and 1.0-3.0 M NaCl, two endothermic peaks appeared, corresponding to unbound (high temperature) and bound (low temperature) water in the gel networks, and eventually merged into one endothermic peak at 5.0-8.0 M urea and 4.0-4.5 M NaCl. After this merger, the endothermic peak shifted to 3.7, 4.0 and $5.6^{\circ}C$ at 5.0, 6.0 and 8.0 M urea, respectively. In the case of NaCl, a combination of peaks that occurred at 4.0-4.5 M were accompanied by a shift to lower temperature (-14.4 and $15.3^{\circ}C$) and the endothermic peak finally disappeared at 5.0 M NaCl due to the strong binding of water in the gel networks.
