  • Failure rate serves as a pivotal role in reliability study. When the system operates, failure datum of the system reflects the actual operating environment. Therefore, when we estimate the system's with the component failure data, we can find the more exact failure rate that reflected the system's operating environment. In this paper, we use the components' fault data and find out failure rate.

  • It was difficult for high school teachers to guide the careers of their students on the behalf of the time and place limits. Accumulation and sharing datum about career guidance was not easy, either. This study aims at more systematic and objective career guidance and counseling by overcoming the current problems using Data Mining Techniques for career guidance. Moreover, the systems can also be helpful to students who use this positive search system based on world wide web for the career information on the basis of their own need.

Numerical study of base drag of afterbodies for launch vehicles (발사체 후방동체형상에 따른 기저항력에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • The projectile afterbodies for zero-lift drag reduction has been analyzed using the Navier-Stokes equations with the $\kappa-\epsilon$ turbulence model. The numerical method of a second order upwind scheme has been used on unstructured adaptive meshes. Base drag reduction methods that have been found effective on axisymmetric bodies include boattailing, base bleed, base comustion, locked vortex afterbodies and multistep afterbodies. In this paper, the charateristics of turbulence flow have been studied for geomeries of multistep afterbodies. The important geometrical and flow parameters relevant to the design of such afterbodies have been identified by number, length and height of step. The flow over multistep afterbodies has been analyzed including expansion waves, recompression waves, recirculating flow, shear flow and wake flow. The numerical results have been compared and analyzed with the experimental datum.

  • Generally, micro-stereolithography technology uses laser and complex optical system as light source and light delivery system, respectively. In this research, a novel micro-stereolithography technology that uses UV lamp that is more economical than UV laser as light source and optical fiber that is simpler than previous light delivery system has been developed. Furthermore, precise control system that is composed of 3-axis linear stage and shutter has been used to fabricate truly three dimensional micro-structure. For confirming the feasibility of developed micro-stereolithography apparatus, the solidification experiments were conducted. The solidification widths and depths datum of photopolymer as varying scanning speed of the UV light have been obtained. Using developed apparatus, some micro structures were fabricated successfully.

  • Recently, the method of the apartment building design is changing from wall type to moment structure. Because of this reason, dry wall systems are used plentifully. This study examines the sound insulation performance of the light weight concrete panel using bottom ash. There is the difference of airborne sound isolation between laboratory and field test. For the purpose of searching deviation, we use the prediction tool(Insul 6.0). First, we calculated the prediction data and measured the sound isolation in the wall at the lab. Then, we measured it in the field and compared them. At the base of these datum, we measured the difference.

A Comparative Study of the Postoperative Cardiac Performance after Repair of Congenital Heart Defects with Crystalloid and Blood Cardioplegic Solution (Crystalloid Cardioplegic Solution과 Blood Cardioplegic Solution을 사용한 선천성 심기형 환자에서의 술 후 심기능 평가에 대한 비교 연구)

  • This study was undertaken to hemodynamically determine the differences of myocardial protective effect between crystalloid and blood cardioplegic solution. Twenty nine children undergoing cardiac operations due to cyanotic congenital heart diseases were randomized into two groups receiving crystalloid or blood cardioplegia. Cardiac indices and other hemodynamic datum were examined postoperatively. Although there was no statistical differences between groups, postoperative stroke volume indices and left ventricular stroke work indices were slightly better with blood cardioplegia. We also found that postoperative left atrial pressures[p=0.0003], central venous pressures[p=0.004], and heart rates[p=0.014] were significantly lower with blood cardioplegia. The fact that relatively lower ventricular preloads [left atrial pressure and central venous pressure] were required to provide adequate cardiac output in blood cardioplegia group suggested superior myocardial protective effect of blood cardioplegic solution.

  • A satellite positioning system has been recently introduced in Korea and the applications of the system are in-creasing gradually, and it is, therefore, interested in the geocentric coordinate system. In this paper, the requirements of the redefinition of the Korean geodetic system which is suited to the geocentric datum and the strategies for the establishment of new geodetic networks are considered. It is also taken into account to maintain the control points, in the transition from the old coordinate systems to a new coordinate system.

  • In this work, we have investigated the printability such as print through and str-off of domestic newspapers. Nine kinds of domestic newspapers Hansol, Deahan, Sinho, Hanla and Sepung, were tested by IGT printability tester, and studied using maximum ink requirement method. We obtained the datum of printability parameters such as maximum ink requirment of paper Ymax, printing density D, print through, set-off and gloss. The results of this test showed that a choice of the fillers on the newspaper had an effect on print through, set-off and density of newspapers in the maximum ink transfer point.

  • 본 연구는 Bessel 측지계에서 WGS-84 측지계로 좌표변환할 경우 발생할 수 있는 우리나라 지형정보의 변동을 고찰한 것이다. 고찰 대상은 우리나라 지형형태와 독도와 일본의 오끼제도 사이의 거리로 하였다. Bessel 측지계에서 WGS-84 측지계로 좌표변환한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1). Mercator 도법에서, 임의로 선정한 정사각형의 우리나라 주변 지형은 고위도에서 축소되면서 부채꼴 모양으로 변형되는 결과를 나타내었다. 2). UTM 도법에서, 우리나라 남동부근 연안의 52S 지역중에서 임의로 선정한 정사각형 지형은 가로가 2m 축소되고, 세로는 1m 축소되었다. 3). Mercator 도법을 이용한 한국의 독도와 일본의 오끼제도 사이의 거리를 비교한 결과 오끼제도가 독도쪽으로 약 25.3m 근접하게 되는 결과를 나타내었다.

  • The Magnetic noise generated in three phase induction motor are investigated. Total noises measured by using JEM-1313 code and sound length method and the experimental formulae are derived of magnetic fk={K+$\frac{Z_s}{P}$(1-S)}f[Hz] noise is measured in the stator of induction motor except rotor supplied from power source and their datum are analyzed and compared with one another. The experimental value of magnetic noises are equal to the theoretical value at 1440[Hz] and 1560[Hz]. The biggest magnetic harmonic is generated at 1560[Hz].
