  • The 4th industrial revolution and the rapid change in the data environment revealed technical limitations in the existing relational database(RDB). As a new analysis method for unstructured data in all fields such as IDC/finance/insurance, interest in graph database(GDB) technology is increasing. The graph database is an efficient technique for expressing interlocked data and analyzing associations in a wide range of networks. This study extended the existing RDB to the GDB model and applied machine learning algorithms (pattern recognition, clustering, path distance, core extraction) to detect new abnormal signs. As a result of the performance analysis, it was confirmed that the performance of abnormal behavior(about 180 times or more) was greatly improved, and that it was possible to extract an abnormal symptom pattern after 5 steps that could not be analyzed by RDB.

  • With purpose of improving library technology, one of the core elements of library automation technology, are suggested. The results of the study revealed article database standards briefly described as follows: First, database concerning articles in serials are generated from previous indices & abstracts journals. Second, bibliographic elements of ten representative domestic and international bibliographic database systems showed many dissimilar descriptive field types, as well as differences in entry orders and details. Third, database standards or guidelines were non-existent in domestic and international bibliographic database agencies, and different format have been adapted among those agencies. It is strongly recommended that all library should create a plan for adapting internationally standards in data input format as well as output format. Fourth, conforming with ISO 690 bibliographic descriptions, their ten components will be adapted as the basic framework for building the database and appropriately select additional seven data components of total 17 categories.

  • In this paper, using the Android App to remote database monitoring system is proposed. Existing remote database monitoring scheme CS(Client / Server) based. Conventional CS based systems are space constraints and a plurality of administrator to access the database at that degrade performance disadvantages. The advantage of the proposed system first, because the web -based interface allows the application program, and also the ease of maintenance, through a web browser, if you have Internet access anytime, anywhere environment without restrictions of time and space monitoring. Second, the proposed system because the App -based technology due to an increase in connection session and query execution does not affect the performance of your database. Third, if there is a problem with the remote database through which social networks immediately notify the administrator of the smartphone in real time so that the administrator can identify the problem.

  • In order to restore an ecologically damaged river, freshwater fish which inhabit at the target aquatic ecosystem have a great applicability as one of the essential indicators. Although the informations about the habitat conditions of freshwater fish are key elements reflecting biological, physical, and chemical properties of the aquatic environment, because of the lack of preceding related research and insufficient database with scattered data, they have not been applied effectively for the ecological river restoration projects in Korea. To cope with these problems, based on the nation-wide detailed investigation for domestic freshwater fish habitat conditions, we have selected 70 species considering the possibility for the candidates of flagship species, constructed a database for their population, physical, and chemical habitat properties, and suggested its application methodology for the river restoration projects. In particular, the utilization of the database has been enhanced by the additional statistical analysis to present their resistance and optimum ranges for physical, and chemical habitat properties respectively. It is expected that the database constructed in this study can be utilized for the calculation and evaluation of the appropriate ecological flow rate and target water quality for the selected flagship species (fish), and the basic data for the restoration of river environment.

  • Recent proteomic studies of protein domains require high-throughput and systematic approaches. Since most experiments using protein domains, the modules of protein-protein interactions, require gene cloning, the first experimental step should be retrieving DNA sequences of domain encoding regions from databases. For a large scale proteomic research, however, it is a laborious task to extract a large number of domain sequences manually from several inter-linked databases. We present a new methodology to retrieve DNA sequences of domain encoding regions through automatic database cross-referencing. To extract protein domain encoding regions, it traverses several inter-connected database with validation process. And we applied this method to retrieve all the EGF domain encoding DNA sequences of homo sapiens. This new algorithm was implemented using Python library PAMIE, which enables to cross-reference across distinct databases automatically.

  • Vision-based navigation of unmaned aerial vehicle is a significant technology that can reinforce the vulnerability of the widely used GPS/INS integrated navigation system. However, the existing image matching algorithms are not suitable for matching the aerial image with the database. For the reason, this paper proposes particle filters using Gaussian mixture models to deal with matching between aerial image and database for vision-based navigation. The particle filters estimate the position of the aircraft by comparing the correspondences of aerial image and database under the assumption of Gaussian mixture model. Finally, Monte Carlo simulation is presented to demonstrate performance of the proposed method.

  • We proposed a tail function parameter extraction procedure for the establishment of a robust ion implantation database. We showed that, for the expression of ion implantation profiles, there are many local minimum values set for the third and fourth moment parameters of $\gamma$ and $\beta$ for the Pearson function that comprises the standard dual Pearson and tail functions. We proposed the use of a joined tail function as a mediate function to extract $\gamma$ and $\beta$, and demonstrated that this enables us to extract the parameters uniquely. Other parameters associated with channeling phenomena can also be simply and uniquely extracted by our procedure.

  • Since land pixels often generate false alarms in ship detection using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), land masking is a necessary step which can be processed by a land area map or water database. However, due to the continuous coastline changes caused by newport, bridge, etc., an updated data should be considered to mask either the land or the oceanic part of SAR. Furthermore, coastal concrete facilities make noise signals, mainly caused by side lobe effect. In this paper, we propose two methods. One is a semi-automatic water body data generation method that consists of terrain correction, thresholding, and median filter. Another is a dynamic land masking method based on water database. Based on water database, it uses a breadth-first search algorithm to find and mask noise signals from coastal concrete facilities. We verified our methods using Sentinel-1 SAR data. The result shows that proposed methods remove maximum 84.42% of false alarms.

  • In this study, heart rate through ECG R-R intervals using the methods about how to automatically extract studied. Heart rate as measured by the naked eye, using the 2-order differential equations to extract heart rate, using self-correlation function to extract the heart rate was compared contemplate. To verify its efficacy and validity in practical applications, these method has been applied to MIT/BIH database. Based on this, making a ECG meter automatic heart rate measurements, and our ECG meter was compared with the existing ICU.

  • This paper aims to analyze the function of database management systems from the perspective of librarians working in engineering institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Ninety-eight librarians from one hundred thirty engineering institutions participated in the study. The paper reveals that training by computer suppliers and software packages are the significant mode of acquiring DBMS skills by librarians; three-fourths of the librarians are postgraduate degree holders. Most colleges use database applications for automation purposes and content value. Electrical problems and untrained staff seem to be major constraints faced by respondents for managing library databases.
