Earthquake event keeps increasing every year, and the recent cases of earthquake hazards invoke the necessity of seismic study in Korea, as geotechnical earthquake hazards, such as strong ground motion, liquefaction and landslides, are a significant threat to structures in industrial hub areas including coastal facilities. In this study, systemized framework of integrated assessment of earthquake-induced geotechnical hazard was established using advanced geospatial database. And a visible simulation of the framework was specifically conducted at two coastal facility areas in Incheon. First, the geospatial-grid information in the 3D domain were constructed with geostatistical interpolation method composed of multiple geospatial coverage mapping and 3D integration of geo-layer construction considering spatial outliers and geotechnical uncertainty. Second, the behavior of site-specific seismic responses were assessed by incorporating the depth to bedrock, mean shear wave velocity of the upper 30 m, and characteristic site period based on the geospatial-grid. Third, the normalized correlations between rock-outcrop accelerations and the maximum accelerations of each grid were determined considering the site-specific seismic response characteristics. Fourth, the potential damage due to liquefaction was estimated by combining the geospatial-grid and accelerations correlation grid based on the simplified liquefaction potential index evaluation method.

The traditional ritual foods of Korea have developed with for many years, and differ by locality, family customs and religious characteristics. In an efforts to establish the database on that addresses the difficult issue of a classification system for traditional Korean foods, we have conducted a survey of a traditional Korean ritual foods. In the database, typical 10 rites are represented, covering birth to death, these are birth, the hundredth day after birth, the first birthday, the commemoration of finishing books(graduation), the coming of age ceremony, marriage, the birthday feast for an old man, the 60th wedding anniversary, the funeral, and the memorial service. For each rite, the appropriate traditional Korean foods are classified into 6 categories-main dishes, side dishes, tteok lyou, hangwa lyou, eumchung lyou and the others. Some of these have varied considerably with the passage of time, and some have since disappeared. This database provides a basis for generational transmission, preservation and development of traditional Korean ritual foods as one of the components traditional Korean culture.

현재까지의 EDB 시스템이 Data를 중심으로 한 관리나 프로세스 관리 같은 것들을 프로그램으로는 Hard Coding되어 있었던 관계로 인하여 단위업무의 성력화 또는 순수 데이터 관리 측면에서는 효율성을 가졌으나, 기업의 무한경쟁시대에 생존 수간으로서 행해지고 있는 BPR(Business Process Restructure) 또는 CE(Concurrent Engineering)에 대응 할 수 있는 유연성이 결여되어 있었다. 따라서 프로세스나 데이터에 관련된 규칙 또는 데이터가 있는 위치등과 같은 프로세스 및 데이터의 속성에 대한 정보를 Meta Database에 저장하여 보다 유연성이 있고 일관성 있게 데이터를 취급해 줄 필요성이 대두 되었다. 이러한 Meta Database를 사용자 시각에서 바라보면 프로세스가 변화 된다하더라도 일관된 실제 작업을 할 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 사용자는 자신이 사용하는 EDB의 단위 Application을 사용하면 새로 정의된 프로세스에 따라 자신의 데이터를 Release하고 시방변경, 삭제, 의뢰 등을 처리 할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 현재의 EDB 시스템들의 개발이 전체의 개발 프로세스 중에서 일부만을 부분부문으로 개발하고 통합 할 뿐 실제 일관된 데이터의 유지나 공유가 매우 힘들었던 것을 부분적인 형태로 시스템이 구축된다하더라도 Meta Database를 통하여 개발 프로세스 전반에 걸친 다양한 PART 시스템간의 데이터 공유를 가능하게 할 수 있는 EDB 시스템구조에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

In spatial database based on spatial data structures, instead of one-dimensional indexing structure, new indexing structure which corresponds to multi-dimensional features of spatial objects is required. In order to meet those requirements, in this paper we proposed new indexing structure for efficient retrieval of spatial database by carrying through the feature analysis of conventional multi-dimensional indexing structures. To improve the sequential search method of supernodes in the conventional X-tree and to reduce the retrieval time in case of generating the huge supernode, we proposed a indexing structure integrating the kd-tree based on point index structure into the X-tree. We implemented the proposed indexing structure and analyzed its retrieval time according to the dimension and distribution of experimental data.

Universities or job training institutes need to develop training courses that match up with requirements of enterprises. Therefore, job analysis system that analyzes skills which are needed for job performing and makes it possible to be reflected in the curriculums is requested for deriving generalized curriculum system. In this paper, to develop a curriculum that fulfills the requirements of enterprises, we implemented a series of DACUM(Developing A CurriculUM) based process that performs verification of tasks for workers and roadmap for curriculum, etc. And, we analyzed a instance of this application system. The proposed system is implemented by Java and MS Access database. The system is possible to work with central database realized by MS SQL Server through the Internet.

생산시스템에 지능을 부여하려는 기술개발을 선진국에서는 최근 IMS프로그램을 통해 시도하고 있다. 이중 '차세대 생산시스템을 구축을 위한 통합모델 기초 연구' 과제에 일본에서 많은 관심을 보이고 있으며, 이는 CIM기술실현을 위해서 중요 과제로 판단된다. 이와같이 설계, 가공 및 생산관리 정보를 통합하려는 목적을 갖는 과제의 하나로 공정설계 자동화 과제가 있다. 이 과제에서는 생산정보의 통합을 위한 노력으로 특징형상(Feature) 기술과 데이터베이스 이용 기술 등을 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IMS 사업의 관심과제, 생산정보 통합 측면에서 상기 기술에 대한 이해, 그리고 공정설계 자동화 연구과제를 제한된 범위에서 생각해 본다.

In this paper, we propose a general idea about an RFID system which provides lighted weight algorithm. We discuss how RFID could be applied for this kind of system, especially, compact protocol. We evaluate a few protocols that have been suggested for use in passive RFID tagged systems. We can reduce security computation without losing security features by message integration and pre-computation in this paper. And the proposed protocol can be used in low-cost RFID systems that require a small computational load for both the back-end database and the tags.

With rapid progresses in information technologies, managing enterprise network resources as a whole becomes more important. Telecommunication Management Network (TMN) has been used to integrate network elements. TMN is complex to develop and manage because it has a centralized management service. Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) can overcome this complexity by the use of transparent distributed object processing mechanism. Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to integrate TMN service with CORBA. A network management repository is built for this integration. In addition, a prototype that can partially support network management service is implemented to illustrate the usefulness of this repository.
