경상북도를 중심으로 고찰한 한국 초·중등학교의 데이터베이스 교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on Database Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools in Korea focused on the IT curriculum in Gyeongsangbuk-do province)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국의 초 중등학교에서 체계적인 데이터베이스 교육의 필요성을 제기하고자 경상북도 초 중등학교의 정보통신기술 교육과정을 데이터베이스 관련 교육 내용을 중심으로 미국 일리노이 주 Arcola Schools(초 중등과정)의 해당분야 교육과정과 비교 연구하였다. 연구결과 정보사회에 있어서 데이터베이스의 중요성 및 21세기 데이터베이스 산업의 규모와 성장속도 등을 감안할 때 한국의 초중등학교 교육과정에서 데이터베이스 관련 교육은 필수적인 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 이와는 대조적으로 현재 한국의 초 중등학교 정보통신기술교육과정은 정보 사회가 요구하는 체계적인 데이터베이스 교육을 제공하기에는 대단히 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 이런 연구결과를 바탕으로 우리는 '한국의 초 중등학교 정보통신기술 교육과정이 체계적인 데이터베이스 교육이 가능한 방향으로 시급히 개편되어야 할 필요성이 있음을 제시하였다.

  • 통계학과에서 데이터베이스 교육은 필요한가\ulcorner 데이터베이스 교육이 필요하다면 그 교육 방안은 무엇인가\ulcorner 본 연구에서는 통계학과에서 데이터베이스 교육의 필요성에 대해 논의하고 구체 적 인 교육 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문의 목적은 어떻게 통계학이라는 학문과 연관지어 데이터베이스를 교육할 수 있을 것인가에 대해 생각해보고자 하는데 있다.

과학교육 정보체제 구축을 위한 연구 (A Study for Constructing the Korean Science Education Database)

  • The study reported here is a part of the Korean Science Education Database (SEDB) project, a long-term effort to improve science education by providing educational information to science educators. The purpose of the SEDB project is to improve access to science resources available to teachers, students, parents, and others. Three educational database have been investigated and discussed in depth. The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) that is the largest education database in the world and the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education (ENC) that is creating an easy-to-use catalog of mathematics and science curriculum materials have been investigated on the aspect of system and operation. The pilot form of the SEDB developed in this study has committed itself to reaching audiences that include practitioners and policymakers. The SEDB should be a collection of the most up-to-date and comprehensive listing of science curriculum materials in the nation, because educators need better access to the best instructional materials and programs to continually improve science education our nation's science. The researchers recommend the practical tips for developing an effective science education database.

차세대 지능망의 지능형 정보 제공 시스템을 위한 데이터베이스 모델 (A Database Model for Intelligent Peripheral of Advanced Intelligent Network)

  • In this paper we present database model for Intelligent Peripheral (IP) of Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN). The new model is developed through four phase. (1) An information of AIN IP is classified that would be stored in AIN IP database as specialized resources, service. schema and system information. (2) The modeling criteria are developed that would be used to model information classified. (3) Object-oriented concepts are used in modelifl8 classified information according to modeling criteria captured. (4) Methods applied to developed model are grouped, and active-based mechnisms such as trigger and constraints are developed. These selected methods and attributes are encapsulated into objects. Consequently they compose an active object-oriented AIN IP database model.

  • 수업의 안내자인 교사는 다양하고 새로운 지식을 습득하여 학생들에게 필요적절 할 때 제공해야 한다. 그러나 여러 가지 원인들로 인하여 교사들의 자기 연구와 사전 지식습득이 원활히 이루어지지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전국에 흩어져 있는 초등교육자료를 데이타베이스화하여 기존에 구축되어 있는 교육전산망에 연결시켜 서비스를 제공함으로써 일선학교 및 전국 어디에서나 초등교육에 관한 자료를 공유할 수 있는 초등교육자료 데이타베이스시스템을 구축하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

'Hanmal' Korean Language Diphone Database for Speech Synthesis

  • This paper introduces a 'Hanmal' Korean language diphone database for speech synthesis, which has been publicly available since 1999 in the MBROLA web site and never been properly published in a journal. The diphone database is compatible with the MBROLA programme of high-quality multilingual speech synthesis systems. The usefulness of the diphone database is introduced in the paper. The paper also describes the phonetic and phonological structure of the database, showing the process of creating a text corpus. A machine-readable Korean SAMPA convention for the control data input to the MBROLA application is also suggested. Diphone concatenation and prosody manipulation are performed using the MBR-PSOLA algorithm. A set of segment duration models can be applied to the diphone synthesis of Korean.

데이터베이스 SQL 강의 효율 향상을 위한 커리큘럼 (A Curriculum to Improve the Lecture of Database SQL)

  • 본 논문은 데이터베이스 SQL 교육 효과를 높이는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 실무에서 요구되는 다양한 데이터베이스 응용 사례를 프로그래밍 할 수 있도록 학부 학생들에게 SQL을 교육하기 에는 한정된 교육시간이 부족할 수밖에 없다. 따라서 학부 학생들에게 적은 량의 강의 시간에도 불구하고 실무적 응용이 가능한 수준의 SQL 능력을 배양할 수 있도록 강의 커리큘럼을 개발하는 것이 데이터베이스 교육에서 대단히 중요하다. 본 논문은 다양한 데이터베이스 응용 사례를 유형화하고, 그 유형에 대응하는 SQL 패턴을 제안하였다. SQL 패턴의 수가 몇 개 되지 않음으로 학부 학생들에게 효과적인 SQL 교육이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

실시간 서지데이터베이스 평가방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Real-time Quality Evaluation Method of Bibliographic Database)

  • The conventional database evaluation method is carried out by the way in which the person in charge of each specialty database(DB manager) composes the evaluation sheets for corretionㆍrevision on the already-constructed database in a manual method and carries out the measurement and re-education of DB workers based upon it. As a result, that way consumes much time on career information and measurement works about DB workers, causing low time and cost efficiency and lack of systematic management of DB workers, resulting in becoming the hindrance factor of databases quality improvement. This research provides on-line, red-time results of measurements about the efficiency of DB production and DB workers by combining the static measurement with dynamic measurement by DB manager, both of which utilize the System. Therefore, the DB manager can contribute to the improvement of DB quality by determining the continuation of DB production by DB workers or carrying out the re-education of DB workers without being affected by time or spacial constraints.

  • Recently, database technologies have been used commonly. But, ordinary technologies aren't suitable to construct a complicated database such as a classical literature database or an archaeological relic's database. Because this kinds of data are semi-structured data that doesn't have regular structures, database schema can't be defined before databases. We have proposed DREAM model for semi-structured databases. In this model, a database consists of five elements and the model has operations similar to operation of set theory. And further we have introduced dynamic schema "shape" showing structure of each element. We have already realized a prototype of DBMS adopting DREAM model (DREAM DBMS) and constructing function of shapes. However, shape is imperfect to describe database structures because it can't explain nested structures of elements. In this paper, we will profuse a "shape graph"that is dynamic schema showing database structures more exactly and extend the DREAM DBMS. Further we will evaluate the performance of constructing function of shapes and shape graphs.

Construction of Retrieval-Based Medical Database

  • In the current field of Medical Informatics, the information increases, and changes fast, so we can access the various data types which are ranged from text to image type. A small number of technician digitizes these data to establish database, but it is needed a lot of money and time. Therefore digitization by many end-users confronting data and establishment of searching database is needed to manage increasing information effectively. New data and information are taken fast to provide the quality of care, diagnosis which is the basic work in the medicine. And also It is needed the medical database for purpose of private study and novice education, which is tool to make various data become knowledge. However, current medical database is used and developed only for the purpose of hospital work management. In this study, using text input, file import and object images are digitized to establish database by people who are worked at the medicine field but can not expertise to program. Data are hierarchically constructed and then knowledge is established using a tree type database establishment method. Consequently, we can get data fast and exactly through search, apply it to study as subject-oriented classification, apply it to diagnosis as time-depended reflection of data, and apply it to education and precaution through function of publishing questions and reusability of data.
