지하시설물의 효과적인 데이터의 관리는 인간 삶 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 여기에는 최신성의 정확도 높은 데이터의 입력이 선행되어야 한다. 그래서 효율적인 데이터를 입력을 위한 방법이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 오픈소스(open source) 소프트웨어를 활용하여 하수 시설물 현장조사 프로그램을 개발함으로써 종이도면을 태블릿PC로 대체할 수 있도록 하였다. 태블릿PC를 활용하여 현장에서 취득하는 도형 및 속성정보를 데이터베이스 서버를 통해 실시간으로 전송하도록 하였으며, PostGIS 쿼리(query)를 개발하여 구조화편집 자동화로 하수 시설물 GIS (Geographic Information System) 데이터베이스 구축에 수작업을 최소화하였다. 또한, 하수 시설물 GIS 데이터베이스 구축 프로그램을 활용하여 데이터베이스 구축을 하였고, 이를 기존방식의 하수 시설물 데이터베이스 구축과 작업공정, 작업시간을 비교·분석한 결과 작업공정이 단순화되었고 작업시간이 단축되었다. 아울러 오픈소스 소프트웨어의 간단한 커스터마이징을 통해 타 분야의 현장조사 및 데이터베이스 구축에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

In the existing distribution automation system, the database is managed by each distribution office. But there is a high possibility to happened a problem during a fault processing because the representation of the connection switches between distribution offices are complicated. In addition, if a distribution office will be going to collapse due to disaster, for example, a big fire or earthquake, its own database may be lost. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to have a structure of an integrated database management from an integration center to under the distribution office. To do this, the integration center must store and manage it as the database using the own office code.

Using database obtained by means of experiments, or using the synamic behaviour analysis program of automotive shock absorber, database system is constructed within the limits of adequate reliability. Thus constructed data base can be used to find out corresponding specification of shock absorber design parameters to the required damping ability and tolerance.

A deductive database consists of collection of stored facts and deductive rules. It can answer queries based on logical deduction from the stored facts and general rules. A deductive database has both a declarative meaning(semantics) and a procedural meaning. The declarative semantics of a deductive database provides a definition of the meaning of the program in a manner which is independent of procedural considerations, context-free, and easy to manipulate, exchange and reason about. This paper investigates various declarative semantics of deductive databases, dicusses related computational issues, and suggests another declarative semantics for deductive databases which is more practical than others.

In order to utilize the data obtained during the deep-sea resources exploration program, the analysis of data structure and database were conducted to develop an appropriate data operating system called Deep-sea Database System. The Relation Data Base Management System, RDBMS, was chosen as a data managing system and the MS Access$^{TM}$ as a DB engine, and the MapInfo$^{TM}$ software as GIS tools. Problems in networking and security were detected and solved during the operation test. Accordingly, development of standardized operative procedure was proposed in obtaining raw data. This proposal will also be reflected in the subsequent phase of the deep-sea program. The Deep-sea Database System could be applied to the selection of potential mining sites and the estimation of economical efficiency over th KODOS (Korea Deep Ocean Study) region. It is also expected that this system might improve the efficiency of detail survey and help in the relinquishment process as a fulfillment of the obligation as a pioneer investor.

This study was conducted to develop a web expert system for nutrition counseling and menu management. This program manipulates a food, dish and menu and search database that has been developed. Clients can select a recommended general and therapeutic menu using this system. The web expert system can analyze nutrients in menus and compare nutrient contents of menus with Korean Recommended Dietary Allowances. It can access the food, dish and menu database. The expert menu database can insert, store and generate the synthetic information of age, sex, and therapeutic purpose of disease. With investigation and analysis of the client's needs, the menu planning program on the internet has been continuously developed. This system consists of the database that reaches to the food composition, the dishes and the menu. Clients can search food composition and conditional food based on nutrient name and amounts. This system is able to draw up the food with its order in dish. The menu planning can be organized and nutrients analysis can be compared with Korea Recommended Allowance. This system is able to read the nutrient composition of the each food, the dish and the menu. The results of analysis is presented quickly and accurately. Therefore it can be used by not only usual people but also dietitians and nutritionists who take charge of making a menu and experts in the field of food and nutrition. It is expected that the web expert system can be useful of nutrition education, nutrition counseling and expert menu management.

From this year, KIGAM, one of Korean government-supported research institutes, has started new national program for digital geologic/natural resources infrastructure building. The goal of this program is to prepare digitally oriented infrastructure for practical digital database building, management, and public services of numerous types of paper maps related to geo-scientific resources or geologic thematic map sets: hydro-geologic map, applied geologic map, geo-chemical map, airborne radiometric/magnetic map, coal geologic map and off-shelf bathymetry map and so forth. As for digital infrastructure, several research issues in this topic are composed of: ISP (Information Strategy Planning), geo-framework modeling of each map set, pilot database building, cyber geo-mineral directory service system, and web based geologic information retrieval system upgrade which services Korean digital geologic maps scaled 1:50K. In this study, UML (Unified Modeling Language)-based data modeling of geo-data sets by and in KIGAM, among them, is mainly discussed, and its results are also presented in the viewpoint of digital geo-modeling ISP. It is expected this model is further progressed with the purpose of being a guidance or framework modeling for geologic thematic mapping and practical database building, as well as other types of national thematic map database building.

본 논문의 목적은 Electronic Program Guide(EPG)용 응용프로그램을 위한 Application Program Interface(API) 및 이를 위한 Middleware의 구현이다. 이를 위해 Windows 환경 하에서 프로그램 정보 전송 프로토콜인 Program and System Information Protocol(PSIP)을 해석하는 Parser를 구현하고, 해석한 자료를 저장하는 Database를 설계하였다. 구현된 프로그램의 테스트를 위해 디지털 방송 수신 카드를 사용한 테스트베드를 구축하였고, 지상파 디지털 방송에서 수신된 MPEG-2 Transport Stream을 사용하여 구현된 시스템을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 개발된 Middleware는 EPG를 위한 응용프로그램 및 향후 예약시청, 예약녹화 등의 부가 서비스를 위해 활용될 수 있다.

A hearing aid performs the role of fitting in order to provide those with a hearing problem with a better hearing ability in ordinary circumstances. The existing Fitting system in the hearing aid is consisted somewhat complex, and simply performs the role of Fitting without any supervisions of those with a hearing problem. Such is these methods makes it unable to establish an organized supervision, and shows a problem in making high efficiency. In order to solve this problem mentioned as above, the based thesis have connected the Fitting program and the patient-management database program for the easy use by the user.

The reliability data analysis for components of CNC machining center is studied in this paper. The failure data of mechanical part is analyzed by Exponential, Weibull, and Log-normal distributions. And then, the optimum failure distribution model is selected by goodness of fit test. The reliability data analysis program is developed with ASP language to use on the Internet. The failure rate, MTBF, life, and failure mode of mechanical parts are estimated and searched by this program. The failure data and analysis results are stored in the database.
