This paper presents the methods to solve the problem about Power System Protection Program(PROSET) and describe the database relation and schema with UML. PROSET is a overall program system to protect power system and correct it. In the context of the PROSET it is so difficult to edit database data when topology is changed. When the renewal of data is performed. all changed values are disappeared. Therefore, it will not be expected to know the present situation by using the information of the databases data. So it is necessary to solve this problem. Solution is copy of the user. Only E.R diagram is used to express database schema and relation. So, in this paper, UML(Unified Modeling Language) will be used to express PROSET and database of MCD-H and MDT-H.

A database program, named Geoscope, was developed to effectively manage the enormous boreholes log data produced during the geotechnical investigation works in construction and mining Industry This program was designed to give a maximum conveniences to the end users when dealing with the geotechnical data obtained. Most of the values related to geotechnlcal attributes can be selected by a simple click of the mouse in list boxes or small windows provided by the program. Logging chart is automatically created at the same time as the input of the data in the form designated by the user. The made file format and the relational database system adopted in this program, furthermore, can allow the data to be associated with other GIS programs.

데이타베이스 스키마는 모델링 되는 환경이 변화할 때에도 여전히 유효한 상태로 남을 만큼 안정적이라고 가정되어 왔다. 그러나 실제로는, 데이타 모델은 데이타베이스 설계자들이 공통으로 가정하는 만큼 안정적이지 않다. 현재 데이타베이스 시스템에서 풍부한 스키마 변화 연산들이 제공되지만은 사용자들은 스키마 변화가 스키마에 쓰여진 기존의 응용 프로그램에 영향을 미치는 문제로 곤란을 겪어왔다. 이 논문은 응용 프로그램에 영향을 주는 문제를 탐구한다. 옛 스키마에 기존의 프로그램을 지속적으로 지원하기 위하여 옛 스키마가 이전처럼 변경과 질의를 계속 허락해야 한다. 더 나아가, 관련 데이타는 최신상태로 유지되어야 한다 이것을 스키마 변화 도구의 프로그램 독립 성질이라 부른다. 이 성질을 달성하기 위하여, 이 논문은 프로그램 독립적인 스키마 진화 (Program Independency Schema Evolution: PISE) 방법론을 제안한다. 더 나아가, 각각의 관계형 스키마의 변화 연산들에 대하여 PISE 방법론에 기초한 구현 알고리즘을 도식적으로 설명함으로써 PISE 방법론의 포괄성과 견고성을 증명한다.

본 연구에서는 의무기록사의 의료정보관리 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육용 의료정보관리 프로그램을 개발하였다. 교육용 의료정보관리 프로그램은 8개월 동안 vb.Net으로 개발하였다. 데이터베이스는 학습자가 데이터의 구조를 쉽게 이해하고 파악할 수 있는 ACCESS의 Database를 이용하였다. 학습자는 의무기록을 분석하여 퇴원분석 및 암등록 프로그램 그리고 미비기록 프로그램을 이용하여 데이터를 입력한다. 데이터를 입력하고 저장한 후에 의료정보관리 프로그램을 이용하여 데이터베이스의 구조를 이해하고 분석하여 의료정보를 생성할 수 있다. 교육용 프로그램은 데이터베이스에서 필요한 데이터를 SQL을 통하여 직접 추출하고, 다양한 의료정보를 생성해봄으로써 학습자의 의료정보관리 능력을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 하지만 교육용 프로그램이면서 학습자의 프로그램 운영에 대한 평가체계가 마련되지 않았다. 이에 따라서 다음 연구에서는 학습자 평가를 위한 의료정보관리 프로그램의 평가시스템을 개발해야 할 것이다.

이 연구에서는 산림계획에 관계되는 자료관리는 물론 국유림에 적용되는 영림계획의 운영을 관계형 데이터베이스체계로 개발하였다. 이 데이터베이스체계에서는 영림계획 업무에서 요구되는 여러 가지 기능들을 메뉴체계에 반영하였으며, 산림조사, 영림계획, 연차계획 및 임반연혁 자료들을 유기적으로 관리할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 모델은 한글 윈도우 95 환경에서 구동하도록 설계되어 있으며 프로그램은 Visual Basic 5.0을 사용하여 작성하였고 데이터베이스 기본 엔진으로 Microsoft사의 ACCESS를 이용하였다. 이 논문에서는 영림계획업무 내용을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 작성된 관계형 데이터베이스 설계내역, 모델구조 및 응용체계를 설명하였다. 그리고 이상에서 설명한 데이터베이스의 응용체계를 실제 화면모드 출력창을 이용하여 제시하였다.

This paper presents a geotechnical information system(HGIS) developed for Korea Highway Corporation. To make a database for boring information, characterization study of boring data is carried out. Based on tile study, the HGIS database is developed as a relational database. The HGIS database consists of 23 tables including 13 reference tables. For an effective database management, a boring log program called GEOLOG is developed. GEOLOG can print boring log and store those data to tile HGIS database.

The introduction of client server systems raises some serious IS control concerns. Although client server systems increase system flexibility and compatibility, and facilitates system downsizing and process restructuring, multiple operating systems, database management systems, and platforms of client-server system increase th potential exposures and risks of the system. It is needed to recommend the effective control framework to mitigate risks. This paper suggests risks and control framework for client server system. The results of two case studies indicate that program and database management are important as program and data should be located and maintained in client and servers. It becomes difficult to manage divided programs and data logic that are distributed across clients and servers that have different platforms. The case studies of two banks show that the extent of distribution of program and data logic affects the importance of program and database management controls.

A database program, named SLOPMAN, was developed to collect all the information on the slopes with potential hazard around railroad and to setup the effective management system. SLOPMAN is composed of three modules: data control, search and analysis. The program is able to store both text and image data and operated with tabs for the users' ability and convenience. Drop-down menu is equipped to reduce errors and the number of key strokes when inputting data. Searching data is made by codes automatically given to slopes or key words. In the analysis module, RMR and SMR values can be obtained to estimate the stability of slopes.

This paper is purpose to introduce the database management program of insulation tests for high voltage rotating machines. KEPRI has carried out insulation tests for high voltage equipment since 1998, the number of tests grow larger every year. It is difficult to manage the numerous test results, so we developed the insulation diagnostic database program. The features of this program are an easy-search test result and making a graph of AC, tan${\Delta}$ test. the most useful function is the trend management. Using the trend function, we can find the aging deterioration for high voltage machines easily.
