A Study on QTG(Qualification Test Guide) Generation for a Flight Training Device to be Qualifiable at FAA Level 5 (X-Plane 기반 비행훈련장치의 FAA Level 5 FTD(Flight Training Device) 인증을 위한 QTG(Qualification Test Guide) 생성방법 연구)

  • By using commercial flight simulation game engine, X-Plane, we have studied QTG(Qualification Test Guide) generation that can satisfy FTD level 5. Flight model is SR-20 of Cirrus. In list of QTG, There are some items to measure control forces. therefore, we have installed CLS(Control Loading System) to flight control devices in order to make it possible to measure control forces. We made Autopilot function externally to make flight model in trim conditions because X-Plane don't provide internal trim routine function. In addition to develop an algorithm, it can automatically perform the test. To avoid the inconvenience to control as it was to be carried out in same conditions. In case of FTD level 5, it is possible to use alternative data sources not only real flight data. By using these alternative data sources, all test results satisfy a scope given by CFR Part 60.

  • Next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies have revolutionized many areas of biological research due to the sharp reduction in costs that has led to the generation of massive amounts of sequence information. Analysis of large genome data sets is however still a challenging task because it often requires significant computer resources and knowledge of bioinformatics. Here, we provide a guide for an uninitiated who wish to analyze high-throughput NGS data. We focus specifically on the analysis of organelle genome and metagenome data and describe the current bioinformatic pipelines suited for this purpose.

  • As the alternative energy, renewable energy should have been developing by many techniques, in order to substitute the fossil fuel which will be disappeared in the near future. One of the small hydropower generator, main concept of tubular turbine is based on using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines, energy which was initially wasted by using a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline, is collected by turbine in the hydro power generator. A propeller shaped hydro turbine has been used in order to use this renewable pressure energy in order to acquire basic design data of tubular type hydraulic turbine, output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the guide vane opening angle are examined in detail. First, it ensures the reliance of CFD by that of compared with experiment data. After all, the results of performance characteristics of the CFD and experiment show to confirm the data that power, head and efficiency of less than 4%, 2% and 5% respectively. Moreover influences of pressure, tangential and axial velocity distributions on turbine performance are investigated.

  • Users usually search for the required information via search engines which contain locations of the information. However. as the amount of data gets large, the result of the search is often not the information that users actually want. In this paper a web guide is proposed in order to resolve this problem. The web guide uses case-based learning method which stores and utilizes cases based on the keywords of user's action and agent's visit. The proposed agent system learns the user's visiting actions following the input of the data to be searched, and then helps rapid searches of the data wanted.

Computer-guided implant surgery and immediate provisionalization by chair-side CAD-CAM: A case report (진료실 CAD-CAM에 의한 컴퓨터 가이드 임플란트 수술과 즉시 임시보철치료: 증례보고)

  • This report demonstrates a method of generating a chair-side and computer-aided template for implant surgery based on the Top-Down and restoration-driven concept. Compared to the traditional CAD-CAM process which requires multiple steps to be taken between dental clinic and laboratory, this alternative procedure, VARO guide system (VARO Guide, CAD, Pre-Guide, VARO-mill, NeoBiotech, Seoul, South Korea) enables accurate and patient-friendly implant surgery as well as immediate provisional restoration in a single visit. First, bite-registration at centric jaw relation and CBCT were taken using the Pre-Guide. The CBCT data was then reorganized directly through the chair-side CAD, and we could determine the most appropriate 3-dimensional position of implant. The STL file was extracted and put into the chair-side CAM (VARO-mill) to fabricate a VARO. This surgical guide allowed the implants to be accurately positioned into the planned sites within an hour.

  • This experimental study was carried out to obtain the base data for saving the man power in the fishing operation of largehead hairtail hand line by using the continuous type hand line system with a rotary device which could make a main line move automatically. In order to solve the twists and entangling on the main line happened during operating test, the resistance board was suspended at the end of the main line at sea. As the result, there were no problems of tangling and so on due to up and down moving of a main line. According to the control of a fixed angle of guide roller, it was possible to prevent the main line to be separated from a side roller and a guide roller. In addition, PVC tube between a guide roller and a side roller enabled a main line to be moved smoothly without any entanglement.

  • The Korean government makes an effort to raise the competitive power of nation through CM activation in the construction industry. Since the first CM service was applied to the atomic power plant project in 1986, the number of CM contracts are continuously being increased and will be up to 20% by 2002 in public sector. However, the public projects had been executed without any procedure manual or standard guideline of CM services. Meanwhile the Ministry of Construction and Transportation issued $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$, but the guide shows an indefinite description in the responsibility, authority and scope of activity for the project participants. Therefore, it is required the procedures be improved and scope of activities be established for the project participants. This study was generated from the comparative analysis of $\ulcorner$Standard CM Services and Practice$\lrcorner$ Published by CMAA and domestic $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$ and the case of Incheon International Airport construction. The purpose of this study is to provide the fundamental data for an improvement in the procedures of project execution and the construction manager's activities/rolls shown on $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$

Development of the Numerical Guide for Cost-Benefit Analysis of Occupational Radiation Exposure In the Korean Next Generation Reactor

  • The specific purpose of this study is to develop the numerical guide for the cost-benefit analysis of ORE ($/person-Sv reduction) to meet the criterion of ALARA in the design stage of the KNGR. In deriving the guide, the risk factor which is defined by the risk to unit collective radiation exposure dose (deaths/person-Sv) and the monetary value of human life ($/death) are required. The risk factor has been estimated from various clinical data accumulated for a number of years and continuously modified. And the monetary value of human life is usually quantified using the human capital approach. In this study, the risk to radiation exposure perceived by a group of people is investigated through an extensive poll survey conducted among university students in order to modify the existing risk factor for radiation exposure. And in evaluating the monetary value of human life, the QOL factor is introduced in order to incorporate the degree of public welfare or quality of life. As a result of study, a value within the range of 151, 000~172, 000 dollars per person-Sv reduction is recommended as the appropriate interim numerical guide for cost-benefit analysis of ORE to meet the criterion of ALARA in the design stage of the KNGR. A poll survey was also conducted in order to see whether the public acceptance cost of nuclear power should be incorporated in developing the guide, and the result of study shooed that such a cost does not need to be considered.

Generation of Cutting Path Data for Two Steps of the Cutting Process in Full- Automated VLM-ST (VLM-ST 공정의 완전 자동화를 위한 2단계 절단 경로 데이터 생성 방법에 관한 연구)

  • A novel rapid prototyping (RP) process, a full-automated transfer type variable lamination manufacturing process (Full-automated VLM-ST) has been developed. In the full-automated VLM-ST process, a vacuum chuck and a rectilinear motion system transfer the EPS foam material in the form of the plate with two pilot holes to the rotary supporting stage. The supplied material is then cut into an automated unit shape layer (AUSL) with a desired width, a desired length, a desired slope on the side surface, and a pair of reference shapes, which is called the guide shape (GS)’, including two pilot holes in accordance with CAD data through cutting in two steps using a four-axis synchronized hotwire cutter. Then, each AUSL is stacked by setting each AUSL with two pilot holes in the building plate with two pilot pins, and subsequently, adhesive is applied onto the top surface of the stacked AUSL by a bonding roller and pressure is simultaneously given to the bottom surface of the stacked AUSL. Finally, three-dimensional shapes are rapidly and automatically fabricated. This paper describes the method to generate guide shapes in AUSL data for the full-automated VLM-ST process. In order to examine the applicability of the method to generate guide shapes, three-dimensional shapes, such as a piston shape and a human head shape, are fabricated from the full-automated VLM-ST apparatus.

  • Early in 21st century, researches about intelligent service robot that provide various services for a human out of the industrial robot only has simple pattern repetition. It concentrates in the research regarding the URC(Ubiquitous Robotic Companion) robot which connects the network in the intelligent service. This paper proposes the robot system based on network to guide a way. The robot has made by lego brick and used ultrasonic sensor, rotation sensor and RFID tag to recognize external environment. Also, it includes a PDA to process the data between robot and server. The network server transmits information to robot controller by bluetooth and it controls the course movement and evasion of the robot. In this research, the robot system based on network to guide a way is easy to expand service and is able to process a data in real time due to data processing in the server as a part of intelligent robot. And it can reduce the cost to build a robot thank to use cheaper sensor equipment.
