Purpose: This study has been conducted as a quality improvement activity in order to confirm the assessment of patients, their guardians and nurses by providing them with a Life in Hospital Guide. Method: Nursing with Life in Hospital Guide provision was conducted at an University Hospital with patients admitted within 5 days or less and their guardians, a control group of 375 persons and a comparison group of 372 persons, and the data have been collected from the 26th of May to the 10th of October 2003. A Life in Hospital Guide, in the form of a leaflet, that contained useful information such as meals, facilities, car parking, documents, linen products etc, was used. The collected data have been analysed using SPSS windows programme 11.0 for percentage, $X^2$-test, and t-test. Result: The comparison group who were provided with a Life in Hospital Guide will know better about the articulars needed to live in hospital than the control group who were not,' the average of the comparison group (4.04) was higher than the control group (3.04), which is a significant difference (t=-27.06, p=.000). Conclusion: As a results of this study, it was confirmed that life in hospital guidance through a leaflet each as a quality improvement activity, are effective.

The use of optical fiber makes it possible to transfer a large amount of data, thereby enabling a high-speed image transmission with a high response speed and a large number of frames. The need for an optical fiber HDMI System has grown in importance due to the rapid development of displays with large sizes and high-resolution images. In this paper, we have studied the structural design and FEM analysis of a 4C fiber guide for hybrid interconnection implementation. According to the structural analysis of the fiber guide, we have confirmed the safety of the design and we will make additional design changes to minimize the optical loss and fabricate a fiber guide for photoelectric composite HDMI in the future.

This paper deals with the performance analysis of impulse turbine for owe type wave energy conversion device. Numerical analysis was performed using a commercially-available software FLUENT. This parametric study includes the variation of the setting angle of guide vane. Since parametric study at various flaw coefficients requires tremendous amounts of computing time, two-dimensional cascade flaw approximation was employed to find out optimum principal particulars in rather simple manner. Full three-dimensional calculation was also performed for several cases to confirm the validity of two-dimensional approach. Results were compared to other experimental data, for instance Setoguchi et al (2001)'s extensive set of data, and found to be well demonstrating the usefulness of 2-D analysis. Advantages and disadvantages of each method were also evaluated.

A large-scale fire test was done for interior materials from a vehicle installed within a fire test room. The interior materials are satisfied with the Korean guide for the safety of rail vehicle. The guide has taken effect since December 2004 in Korea. Ignition source (gas burner) was increased in several controlled steps. The objectives of this test are to assess the fire performance in terms of ignition and flame spread on interior lining materials and to provide data on an enclosure fires involving train interior materials that grow to flashover. This data will be used to develop and calibrate an Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) model for fire growth on the interior vehicle.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a guide book on safety education for teachers to use in education classes for elementary school students. Methods: Dick & Carey's teaching model and Keller's ARCS theory were used in the development of this guide book. Results: This guide book was developed for lower grade (1st$\sim$3rd) and higher grade (4th$\sim$6th) elementary school students. The content consisted of subjects, worksheets, content for teachers, statistical data, case studies, and a safety letter to the parents. The 10 subjects were as follows: "Importance of injury prevention", "Safety at home", "Accident prevention at school", "Violence prevention", "Vehicles safety", "Water safety", "Prevention of Fires & Burns", "Safety of Toys & home supplies", "Safety in Sports & Recreation activity", "Prevention of injury caused by animals". Statistical data was presented by graphs and case studies were presented of cases of real occurrences of accidents. Worksheets contain various activities for students. Safety letters were composed for each student's parents. Conclusion: This guide book presents effective material for safety education classes in elementary school and the authors hope it will be widely used in elementary schools.

이 연구의 목적은 국내 대학 및 연구기관의 소속 연구자를 위한 연구데이터 관리 교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 가이드를 제시하는 것이다. 해당 프로그램 가이드를 제시하기 위하여 먼저, 해외 연구데이터 관리를 위한 교육 프로그램을 조사 및 분석하였다. 조사 및 분석 대상 교육 프로그램은 RDMRose, RDMLA, DataONE, 캐나다 디지털 연구 연합, NNLM, 파르테노스 그리고 Coursera이다. 또한 해당 교육 프로그램의 적절성을 확인하기 위하여 국내에서 연구된 데이터 리터러시 세부 역량을 통해 검토하였다. 검토 결과 데이터 리터러시 세부 역량을 대부분 충족하고 있었다. 마지막으로 조사 및 분석한 연구데이터 관리 교육 프로그램을 종합하여 연구자를 위한 프로그램 가이드를 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학 및 기관에 소속된 연구자에게 체계적으로 지원하고 활성화할 수 있는 연구데이터 관리 교육 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 것이다.

목적: 본 연구에서는 Simplant와 R2GATE 두 가지 수술용 가이드 시스템의 인터페이스(interface)에 대한 만족도, 제작된 수술용 가이드의 디자인과 편의성, 수술용 가이드 활용 시 중요도에 대한 만족도를 설문조사하여 비교평가 하고자 하였다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 두 가지 시스템으로 제작된 수술용 가이드(surgical guide)를 치아모형에 각각 장착한 상태에서 임플란트 수술 과정을 모의하였다. 모의 수술이 끝난 뒤 연구대상에게 만족도에 관한 설문지를 작성하도록 하였다. 작성된 설문지를 회수하여 각 문항에 대한 데이터를 정리하고 통계 프로그램 SPSS 20.0 (IBM)를 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 전체적인 만족도는 R2GATE 군($7.33{\pm}1.26$)이 SimPlant 군($6.67{\pm}1.26$)보다 더 높은 것으로 나타났다(${\alpha}$ = 0.05). 결론: R2GATE 시스템으로 제작된 수술용 가이드는 임상에 널리 사용 할 만 한 사용자의 만족도를 나타내었다. 또한, R2GATE 시스템으로 제작된 수술용 가이드는 drill의 길이와 방향을 동시에 guide할 수 있어 임플란트 식립 경험이 부족한 초심자에게 적극 추천된다.

The global positioning system (GPS)-enabled mobile phones provide location-based applications such as car and pedestrian navigation services. The pedestrian navigation services provide safe and comfortable route and path guidance for pedestrians and handicapped or elderly people. One of the essential components for a navigation system is a spatial database used to perform navigation and routing functions. In this paper, we develop modeling and categorization of pedestrian path components for smart tour guide services using the mobile pedestrian navigation application. We create pedestrian networks using 2D base map and sky view map in urban area. We also construct pedestrian networks and attributes of node, link, and POI using on-site GPS data and photos for smart pedestrian tour guide in the major walking tourist spots in Jeju.

The purpose of this study is to get the more qualified elementary science teacher's guide as a major curriculum material for teachers and to find more improvement suggestions by analyzing of the teachers' perception and using status of it. To examine the problems of this study, 183 teachers from the elementary schools were surveyed by the questionnaire that was developed by researcher, and statistical technique for data analysis was frequency, using SPSS win(version 7.5). Teachers generally thought that the general remarks of the elementary science teacher's guide were helpful to understand elementary science education and the detailed subjects were useful, but teachers less satisfied about 'practice of teaching' of the detailed subjects. The most interested sector of the teachers' was the sector of the teaching methods. The results of this study were that the sector' the methods and evaluation of the elementary science education' of the general remarks and the sector' practice of teaching' of the detailed subjects were mostly interested. So it is necessary to be more detailedly guided when the development of the elementary science teacher's guide are considered.
