  • To know the long-term growth patterns and determinants of successful startups, 15-year (2006-2020) panel data of 252 companies that had a growth rate of over 20% every year in the last three years were used. In the first analysis, statistics on the period required to designate a gazelle company or listed on the stock market were examined. In addition, five long-term growth patterns were presented. In the panel analysis, the R&D intensity, operating profit ratio, size, and age of the company were pointed out as determinants of growth. The operating profit margin and R&D intensity have a positive effect on growth. Gibrat's law was not supported, but an inverted U-shape was observed. Jovanovic's law was confirmed. Although many studies tend not to point to profitability as a determinant of long-term growth, this is an important long-term growth factor of a company. The operating profit ratio was used in this study.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of long-term preservation policy for electronic records in Korea and to present future tasks. Although the current electronic record long-term preservation policy is not clearly codified, it can be said to consist of technical elements such as digital signature, hash, preservation format, and long-term preservation package. Each technological element was considered in order, and the limitations of the current policy and technology in the changing digital environment were analyzed and alternatives were presented.

  • Purpose: This study explored caregivers' support needs to relieve their physical burden while working in long-term care facilities. Methods: Participants were 12 caregivers with more than 10 years of experience working at six long-term care facilities in Gwangju, South Korea. Data were collected through individual interviews conducted between June and July 2023. The results were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Of the four sub-categories and 13 codes, two categories emerged: "need for welfare medical devices" and "need for improved working conditions." Conclusion: Caregivers working in long-term care facilities require support in deploying and utilizing welfare medical devices to reduce their physical burden, along with improving staffing standards and ensuring they receive the proper amount of days off. Therefore, it is necessary to mandate the provision of a certain level of welfare medical devices to ease the physical burden on caregivers and improve the standards for the placement of caregivers in long-term care facilities.

  • This paper describes the information for the difference between two-term and multi-term approximation of the Boltzmann. In previous paper, we calculated the electron transport coefficients in pure Oxygen and Argon gases by using two-term approximation of Boltzmann equation. Therefore, in this paper, we calculated the electron transport coefficients(W and $N{\cdot}D_L$) in pure Oxygen and Argon gases for range of E/N values from 0.01~500[Td] at the temperature was 300[K] and pressure was 1[Torr] by using multi-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation by Robson and Ness, The results of two-term and multi-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation has been compared with the experimental data for a range of E/N.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the moral distress and burnout between long-term care hospital nurses and general nurses. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey. Participants were 193 nurses (long-term care hospital 95, general hospital 98) working in a hospital in Seoul, Daegu and Busan city. Data were collected from October 02 to November 30, 2018 using a structured questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS/PC ver 21.0 programs. Results: The scores of moral distress by nurses working in long-term care hospitals were higher than those of nurses in general hospitals. The score of burnout by nurses working in general hospitals was significantly higher than that of nurses in long-term care hospitals. There was a significant positive relationship between moral distress and burnout in both long-term care hospital nurses and general hospital nurses. Conclusion: This research shows that long-term care hospital nurses have higher moral distress and burnout than those of general hospital nurses. Therefore, nursing managers and organization should strive to raise the perception of moral distress and burnout in long-term care hospital nurses.

  • The major purpose of this study is to find out relevant factors affecting utilization of Long Term Care Hospitals since the Elderly Long Term Care Insurance System was adopted in Korea. The sample hospitals of this study are 5 long term care hospitals located in 4 big cities and 1 local area. The research data were collected with structured questionnaire from 247 patients and patients' protectors in 5 sample hospitals. Analyzing methods are descriptive statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression with SPSS(version 12.0). Major results of this study are as follows. 1) Utilization and recommendation of patients is affected significantly by the level of hospital facilities (0.043), fee level(0.026), level of staff (0.000), and discomfort of services(0.001). 2) Level of staff is very positively correlated with utilization and recommendation of patients. 3) Discomport of services is very negatively correlated with utilization and recommendation of patients. On the basis of results this study conclude that the management of Long Term Care Hospitals is required conclude to improve the level of staff and facilities and to solve discomport problems of services for patients' marketing. And also more in-depth study on the utilization factors of long term care hospital in Korea is required.

  • This paper investigates how corporate governance characteristics are related to long-term corporate survival in an emerging economy. We used the data of 311 companies listed on the Korean Stock Exchange (KSE) in 1979 and examined the survival chances of those companies through the IMF crisis in 1998, upon governance characteristics that are expected to increase long-term strategic orientations. We utilized Cox regression model for the analysis. The results indicate that firms with particular governance characteristics that may be tied to CEO's long-term orientations show higher long-term survivability. Specifically, the probability of a firm's long-term survival is increased when founding family ownership is sustained, the company ownership is concentrated, and the CEO is the largest shareholder. This study has significance in that it is one of initial tries to examine the impact of corporate governance on long-term corporate survival with large scale statistical analysis. Also, the study findings provide some clues as to why the portion of family firms in emerging economies is continuously increased, thus providing meaningful insights to corporate governance literature.

  • The objective of this paper is to construct pseudo-panel data set and estimate price and income elasticities of car travel demand, using 1995-2007 household income and expenditure survey data, in order to provide quantitative information for analyzing related policy effects in the transport sector. We categorized household survey data into 14 cohorts based on the birth year of the household head. As the result, a total of 133 pseudo-panel data sets was created for estimating price and income elasticities of car travel demand. Especially, price and income elasticities of car travel demand were separately estimated both short-term and long-term. We analyzed the panel model considering fixed effect within cohorts, using explanatory variables such as previous year's fuel consumption, real household income after tax, education level of the household head, the number of children under five, and the share of household type averaged by cohorts. As results, the short-term and long-term price elasticities of car travel demand were calculated as 0.2974-0.4280 and 0.4087-0.6275, respectively. Similarly, the short-term and long-term income elasticities were calculated as 0.3364-0.6281 and 0.7098, respectively.

Therefore, day-rainfall data: to randomicity consider of this study sample data to the Monte Carlo method by randomize after data recode duration of form was choice method which compared an assumed maternal distribution from splitting frequency analysis consequence. In the conclusion, frequency analysis of chuncheon region rainfall appeared samll RMSE to the Gamma II distribution. In the rainfall frequency analysis estimate RMSE using random variates great transform, RMSE is appear that return period increasing little by little RMSE incresed and data number incresing to RMSE decreseing.

  • A past monthly data is not faithful so much for a short term. But, the stochastic generation technique was provide of a long-term data. Thus this study is used a data which generated a monthly inflow amounts data by Thomas-Fiering model. This model is needed a certain process which determination of distribution, decision of continuous durability, etc. It was generated a inflow data every one month as Thomas-Fiering method. The generated inflow data was used input data for a monthly cumulative analysis. This analysis obtained a storage capacities which would be required during droughts having various return periods. It was presented a equation of fitting regression that was carried out regression analysis of 5, 10, 20, 50 years period.
