  • The selective frequency analysis method is suggested in the holographic data storage system with the nyquist aperture to reduce the size of hologram. The image filter was designed with many different methods to improve the bit error rate caused by the nyquist aperture. In previous the methods of image restoration for HDS, an iteration time and a highly precise point spread function were necessary. In this paper, we describe the optical system with analytic method. Thereby, we expect our result help the researchers to design the filter.

  • Page-oriented holographic data storage (HDS) is very sensitive to the tilt error. Therefore, tilt error should be measured and compensated. Especially, mechanical tilt measurement method cannot cope with tilt error measurement because photopolymer medium has shrinkage problem. Therefore, the method to solve this problem is using the reconstructed image which can represent both tilt and shrinkage effect. In this paper, we suggest disc tilt measurement algorithm using image pattern of retrieval data.

  • The performance of modern mainframe computers keeps increasing due to the advances in the semiconductor technology. However, the quest for the faster computer has never been satisfied. To overcome the discrepancy in the supply and demand, we studied a high performance computer architecture utilizing a three-dimensional Holographic Data Storage Systems (HDSS) as a secondary storage system. The HDSS can achieve a high storage density by utilizing the third dimension. Furthermore, the HDSS can exploit the parallelism by processing the two-dimensional data in a single step. To compare the performance of the HDSS with the conventional hard disk based storage system, we modeled the HDSS using the DiskSim simulation engine and performed the simulation study. Results showed that the HDSS can improve the access time by 1.7 times.

  • Information dispersal algorithm guarantees high availability and confidentiality for data and is one of the useful solutions for faulty and untrusted dispersed storage systems such as cloud storages. As the amount of data stored in storage systems increases, data deduplication which allows to save IT resources is now being considered as the most promising technology. Hence, it is necessary to study on an information dispersal algorithm that supports data deduplication. In this paper, we propose an information dispersal algorithm and proof of ownership for client-side data deduplication in the dispersed storage systems. The proposed solutions allow to save the network bandwidth as well as the storage space while giving robust security guarantee against untrusted storage servers and malicious clients.

  • Real life has been actively utilizing storage from anywhere automobiles and Aviation field etc to the development of storage. Recent Big Data is stored as a number of data storage and data distribution processing emerged in research has been actively conducted to process the data. But many bottlenecks or processing speed slows down when you request the data at the same time a problem arises. In this paper consider should be used in the field of big data storing and processing large amounts of data, the process data more efficiently when the number of data request and data suggest that the weight-effective, manageable data processing system algorithm.

  • This paper proposes the DDMPF(Distributed Data Management Protocol using FAT) which prevents data loss and keeps the security of self-organized storages by comprising a client, a storage server, and a verification server in clouding environment. The DDMPF builds a self-organized storage server, solves data loss by decentralizing the partitioned data in it in contrast to the centralized problem and the data loss caused by the storage server problems of existing clouding storages, and improves the efficiency of distributed data management with FAT(File Allocation Table). And, the DDMPF improves the reliability of data by a verification server's verifying the data integrity of a storage server, and strengthens the security in double encryption with a client's private key and the system's master key using EC-DH algorithm. Additionally, the DDMPF limits the number of verification servers and detects the flooding attack by setting the TS(Time Stamp) for a verification request message and the replay attack by using the nonce value generated newly, whenever the verification is requested.

  • The uses of stage-storage curve function are diverse in irrigation reservoirs. The curve functions would be used to determine the optimal size of spillway length and the inundation area above full water level based on the flood routing in reservoirs. In addition, the curve function would he used to transform the stage to the storage for the reservoir water management, in which the storage is the supply water. Besides those, the curve is necessary for the planning of dredging, the estimation of the effective and the dead storage, the drought management by reservoir, etc. The curve function data, however, are almost unavailable for these purposes. According to the statistics, about 74% of the 2, 900 resevoirs which are maintained by Farm Land Improvement Association have no more effective data. Therefore, the simulation of the curve function could be better alternative. The curve functions were simulated derivating the regression equations based on the basin relief ratio and the effective depth. The results of the verification show the enough reliability of the application to generate the curve function in some reservoirs which do not have the surveyed stage-storage data. Also, even though the averaged curve function would be applicated without the basin relief ratio data, the result shows that the simulated curve is closer to the real one than the linear function by only the existing effective storage data.

  • DVD(Digital Versatile Disk) is the data storage media devised to make high storage density and high data input/output possible. Therefore higher rotational speed and better accuracy in optical pick-up are required compared with the existing optical storage device. These operational functional requirements are concerned with abilities of optical storage device. Especially, High rotational speed is deeply concerned with the noise and vibration of optical storage device, is important problem in development of optical storage device so much. This paper propose a new concept ROM media of optical storage device named as Cylindrical ROM media, and evaluate this by means of Axiomatic approach and empirical data.

  • High performance and reliability of the storage system to handle a very large amount of data has been become very important. Many techniques have been applied on the various application systems to establish very large capacity storage that satisfy the requirement of high I/O speed and physical or logical failure protection. We applied RAID and LVM to construct a storage system for the global data center which needs a very reliable large capacity storage system. The storage system is successfully established and equipped on the latest Linux application server.
