Abusive behaviors have become a common issue in many online social media platforms. Profanity is common form of abusive behavior in online. Social media platforms operate the filtering system using popular profanity words lists, but this method has drawbacks that it can be bypassed using an altered form and it can detect normal sentences as profanity. Especially in Korean language, the syllable is composed of graphemes and words are composed of multiple syllables, it can be decomposed into graphemes without impairing the transmission of meaning, and the form of a profane word can be seen as a different meaning in a sentence. This work focuses on the problem of filtering system mis-detecting normal phrases with profane phrases. For that, we proposed the deep learning-based framework including grapheme and syllable separation-based word embedding and appropriate CNN structure. The proposed model was evaluated on the chatting contents from the one of the famous online games in South Korea and generated 90.4% accuracy.

6G network technology represents the next generation of communications, supporting high-speed connectivity, ultra-low latency, and integration with cutting-edge technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality, and autonomous vehicles. These advancements promise to drive transformative changes in digital society. However, as technology progresses, the demand for efficient data transmission and energy management between smart devices and network equipment also intensifies. A significant challenge within 6G networks is the optimization of interactions between satellites and smart devices. This study addresses this issue by introducing a new game theory-based technique aimed at minimizing system-wide energy consumption and latency. The proposed technique reduces the processing load on smart devices and optimizes the offloading decision ratio to effectively utilize the resources of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed technique achieves a 30% reduction in energy consumption and a 40% improvement in latency compared to existing methods, thereby significantly enhancing performance.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is set to transform patient care by enhancing data collection, analysis, and management through medical sensors and wearable devices. However, the convergence of IoT device vulnerabilities and the sensitivity of healthcare data raises significant data integrity and privacy concerns. In response, this research introduces the Smart-Coord system, a practical and affordable solution for securing healthcare IoT. Smart-Coord leverages blockchain technology and coordinate-based access management to fortify healthcare IoT. It employs IPFS for immutable data storage and intelligent Solidity Ethereum contracts for data integrity and confidentiality, creating a hierarchical, AES-CBC-secured data transmission protocol from IoT devices to blockchain repositories. Our technique uses a unique coordinate system to embed confidentiality and integrity regulations into a single access control model, dictating data access and transfer based on subject-object pairings in a coordinate plane. This dual enforcement technique governs and secures the flow of healthcare IoT information. With its implementation on the Matic network, the Smart-Coord system's computational efficiency and cost-effectiveness are unparalleled. Smart-Coord boasts significantly lower transaction costs and data operation processing times than other blockchain networks, making it a practical and affordable solution. Smart-Coord holds the promise of enhancing IoT-based healthcare system security by managing sensitive health data in a scalable, efficient, and secure manner. The Smart-Coord framework heralds a new era in healthcare IoT adoption, expertly managing data integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility to ensure a secure, reliable digital environment for patient data management.

The S-band telemetry and telecommand formats for geostationary orbit satellites should have sufficient reliability, since they transmit massive satellite health data and receive the mission commands in the 36,000km of the geostationary orbit. Also, they have to efficiently manage the large quantity of satellite health data under the limited data transmission rate. Cheollian-2A and 2B satellites were developed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute and launched at 2018 and 2020, respectively. Their missions are to conduct continuously the mission of Cheollian-1, which was the first geostationary orbit satellite of Korea. Therefore, the fundamental S-band data format design for Cheollian-2A and 2B should meet the requirements of Cheollian-1. Meanwhile the latest remote data processing techniques for these newest geostationary orbit satellites should be implemented. In this paper, the advanced S-band space data formats and management methods are proposed for more efficient data transmission, reception and operation with the limited data rate of the geostationary orbit satellites. The implemented results in the flight software of Cheollian-2A and 2B are described in detail.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETS) have enabled to provide a variety of applications such as accident notification, content usage, etc. These applications have spatio-temporal data which have an interesting region and a lifetime according to their properties. However, geocasting protocols to deliver data to an interesting region can provide data to all vehicles in the region through a single transmission only at the current time, but cannot provide data to vehicles passing through the region during the lifetime of the data. Thus, we propose a spatio-temporal geocasting protocol called STGP using a regional caching scheme to send data to vehicles in an interesting region during a data lifetime in VANETs. For efficient and reliable regional caching, the proposed protocol uses the beacon-based data sharing, the extra caching elimination, and the distance-based caching exchange. Simulation results verify that the proposed protocol achieves more reliable and efficient data delivery compared with the existing protocol.

Solar energy harvesting IoT devices prioritize maximizing the utilization of collected energy due to the periodic recharging nature of solar energy, rather than minimizing energy consumption. Meanwhile, research on edge AI, which performs machine learning near the data source instead of the cloud, is actively conducted for reasons such as data confidentiality and privacy, response time, and cost. One such research area involves performing various audio AI applications using audio data collected from multiple IoT devices in an IoT edge computing environment. However, in most studies, IoT devices only perform sensing data transmission to the edge server, and all processes, including data preprocessing, are performed on the edge server. In this case, it not only leads to overload issues on the edge server but also causes network congestion by transmitting unnecessary data for learning. On the other way, if data preprocessing is delegated to each IoT device to address this issue, it leads to another problem of increased blackout time due to energy shortages in the devices. In this paper, we aim to alleviate the problem of increased blackout time in devices while mitigating issues in server-centric edge AI environments by determining where the data preprocessed based on the energy state of each IoT device. In the proposed method, IoT devices only perform the preprocessing process, which includes sound discrimination and noise removal, and transmit to the server if there is more energy available than the energy threshold required for the basic operation of the device.
The government and private companies are endeavoring to help the digital healthcare industry grow. This includes easing regulations on the big data industry such as the amendment of the Data 3 Act. Despite these efforts, however, there have been constant demands for the amendment of laws related to the medical field and for securing medical data transmissions. In this paper, the Data 3 Act of Korea and the legal system related to healthcare are examined. Then the legal, institutional, and technical aspects of the strategies are compared to understand the issues and implications. Based on this, a legal and institutional strategy suitable for the digital healthcare industry in Korea is suggested. Additionally, a direction to improve social perception along with technical measures such as safe de-identification processing and data transmission are also proposed. This study hopes to contribute to the spread of various convergent industries along with the digital healthcare industry.
Recent development in wireless communication and mobile positioning technologies make geosensor networks widely used in the various fields of real world. As a result, much research has been done on the middleware that uses limited energy resources efficiently. However, because traditional middleware does not consider the characteristics of sensor node, such as computing power and specification, the existing middleware call not support the sensor nodes with only the restricted system resource. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement a new Bytecode based Data Service Middleware supporting energy efficiency in geosensor networks. At first, the proposed middleware provides the optimized functions for sensor nodes by using minimum by tee ode instruction set and data manager supporting hardware abstraction. Secondly, the proposed middleware increases the energy efficiency of sensor node through both data aggregation query processing and data filtering that minimize data transmission by eliminating unnecessary data. Finally, we show from our performance analysis that the proposed middleware is more energy efficient than the existing SwissQM.

The Communication Ocean and Meteorological Satellite(COMS), the first geostationary observation satellite, was successfully launched on June 27th in 2010. The raw data of Meteorological Imager(MI) and Geostationary Ocean Color Imager(GOCI), the main payloads of COMS, is delivered to end-users through the on-ground processing. The COMS Image Data Acquisition and Control System(IDACS) developed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI) in domestic technologies performs radiometric and geometric corrections to raw data and disseminates pre-processed image data and additional data to end-users through the satellite. Currently the IDACS is in the nominal operations phase after successful in-orbit testing and operates in National Meteorological Satellite Center, Korea Ocean Satellite Center, and Satellite Operations Center, During the in-orbit test period, validations on functionalities and performance IDACS were divided into 1) image data acquisition and transmission, 2) preprocessing of MI and GOCI raw data, and 3) end-user dissemination. This paper presents that IDACS' operational validation results performed during the in-orbit test period after COMS' launch.
Recently, researching using big data and AI has emerged as a major issue in the ICT field. But, the size of big data for research is growing exponentially. In addition, users of data transmission of existing network method suggest that the problem the time taken to send and receive big data is slower than the time to copy and send the hard disk. Accordingly, researchers require dynamic and flexible network technology that can transmit data at high speed and accommodate various network structures. SDN/NFV technologies can be programming a network to provide a network suitable for the needs of users. It can easily solve the network's flexibility and security problems. Also, the problem with performing AI is that centralized data processing cannot guarantee real-time, and network delay occur when traffic increases. In order to solve this problem, the edge-computing technology, should be used which has moved away from the centralized method. In this paper, we investigate the concept and research trend of SDN, NFV, and edge-computing technologies, and analyze the trends of data central network technologies used by combining these three technologies.
