New methodology is proposed to predict the hourly cooling load of the next day using maximum/minimum temperature and building area. The maximum and minimum temperature are obtained from forecasted weather data. The cooling load parameters related to building area are set through a database provided from reference buildings. To validate the performance of the proposed method, the predicted cooling loads in hourly bases are calculated and compared with the measured data. The predicted results show fairly good agreement with the measured data for benchmarking building.

The BIM-based architectural design can be the optimal method to improve all sectors of construction industry and reduce environmental impact through digital technologies. The goals and effects of BIM needs in LH to be newly planned based on the experience of public sectors, which will ultimately contribute to maximization of effectiveness. Referring the excellent case in the UK, the current BIM standards according to maturity level 2 handle the contents related to modeling, collaborative data production, data management and assure BIM data have to be used from building construction to operation and maintenance of buildings. Therefore the strategy for the utilization of BIM for construction projects in LH consisted of three steps; first, the minimization of defects via BIM: second, strengthening the competitiveness of construction and asset management: third, upgrading the system of building production and maintenance control. After this trial, LH can accumulate know-how for building construction to be more costeffective and competitive.
With the aging of buildings, the number and importance of regular inspections of buildings are increasing. The current safety inspection goes through a procedure in which a skilled technician visits an old building, visually checks it, takes a photo, and finally organizes and judges it at the office. For this, field personnel and analysis and review personnel are required. Since the inspection procedure includes taking pictures, a huge amount of data has been accumulated from the time digital photos were used to the present. When a model that can check cracks outside a building is developed using these data, manpower and time required can be greatly reduced. Therefore, this study aims to create a model for classifying cracks that occur outside the building through the artificial intelligence method. The created model can be used as a basic model for determining cracks only by external photography in the future, and furthermore, it can be used as basic data for calculating the size and width of cracks.
This paper is an analysis of the Category Individual Residence urban spatial structure along the National Route BO (Koushu-Kaido), one of the major roads in Japan, and the degree of differences between locations and its changes between the points of time. The analysis was based on the GIS technique. Whilst, previous studies were based on municipal boundaries or mesh units as sources of data, GIS allowed the use of variable geographical units, Roadside zone, Inner zone, North zone, South zone, Blocks. As an example to apply the technology of GIS, 1986's and 1991's building polygon data of the Urban Planning Bureau of Tokyo Metropolitan Government are used. The layers referred to the analyses is the building polygons with the amount of stories, building area, floor area and the material of the building. Two statistical analysis are executed; one is the test of the regional equality about the number of story of building, building area, floor area and fireproof building ratio.
This paper presents a method for point-based 3D building reconstruction using LiDAR data and digital map. The proposed method consists of three processes: extraction of building roof points, identification of roof types, and 3D building reconstruction. After extracting points inside the polygon of building, the ground surface, wall and tree points among the extracted points are removed through the filtering process. The filtered points are then fitted into the flat plane using ODR(Orthogonal Distance Regression). If the fitting error is within the predefined threshold, the surface is classified as a flat roof. Otherwise, the surface is fitted and classified into a gable or arch roof through RMSE analysis. Based on the roof types identified in automated fashion, the 3D building reconstruction is performed. Experimental results showed that the proposed method classified successfully three different types of roof and that the fusion of LiDAR data and digital map could be a feasible method of modelling 3D building reconstruction.
The Korean government recently has rediscovered the potential value of Han-Ok, the Korean traditional house, as an eco-friendly building. In order to objectively verify the environmental performance of Han-Ok as a low carbon green building, this paper suggests the analysis method of GHG emission load of Korean traditional house, based on Life Cycle Assessment, which is commonly abbreviated to "LCA". The environmental impacts caused by building construction and operation can be analyzed through the sum of input and output data from every phase. The study particularly describes the GHG reduction effect by using traditional building materials such as wood products, traditional clay roof tiles, and mud, which are mainly used to construct Han-Ok. Also the study proposes the method for comparative analysis of quantity of GHG emissions in building's entire life cycle so that the data can be used as a reliable basis to optimize the environmental performance of building.

As buildings and especially eco-friendly facilities are increasing, maintenance of the aged buildings are interested by many maintenance companies. Therefore, a lot of companies are increasing by the maintenance form. These Earned Value should try to minimize the increasing forms. Therefore, this study has an effort to gather data related to earned value of building facility maintenance and analyze the data in terms of local dimension, used duration dimension, building types dimension and so on in order to prevent the building deterioration.
There is a limit to preventing various types of safety accidents in advance at construction sites. Even for buildings of the same total floor area, it is expected that the more complex the building shape or the higher the number of floors, the higher the probability of a safety accident. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the effect of the shape of a building on safety accidents using safety accident data generated during actual construction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of building shape on safety accidents. As a result, the R2 value of shape factor and safety accident was 0.901, and the R2 value of construction difficulty and safety accident was 0.944. In the future, the results of this study will be used as basic data for improving safety management related systems.

We aim to use public data different from the remote BEMS energy diagnostics technology and already established and then switch the conventional operation environment to a big-data-based integrated management environment to operate and build a building energy management environment of maximized efficiency. In Step 1, various network management environments of the system integrated with a big data platform and the BEMS management system are used to collect logs created in various types of data by means of the big data platform. In Step 2, the collected data are stored in the HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) to manage the data in real time about internal and external changes on the basis of integration analysis, for example, relations and interrelation for automatic efficient management.
